As Sona and her peerage were standing in front of the school and concentrating on maintaining the barrier, they heard rhythmic steps of two people coming from behind them. They were surprised at who they were. Two of their schoolmates were walking toward them. The first one was Ezekiel and he didn't seem to give them too much attention. Slightly behind was Jeanne as she followed him into the school grounds.
"Wha..What are you doing here?!" Sona spurted out, uncharacteristically losing her stoic character. It was understandable. They were walking straight into the most dangerous region in Kuoh currently. Furthermore, they had used spells to keep normal humans away. Could it be?
"Excuse me." Ezekiel said in a calm voice.
He didn't stop walking and stretched his hand toward the barrier. The tip of his index finger began to glow slightly as it touched the barrier. For a moment, the barrier opened just enough for the two to walk through and mended itself afterwards. It was as if the barrier was afraid to come into contact with Ezekiel.
Sona panicked a little since she couldn't leave her place. She could only hope that their siblings came soon enough, and Ezekiel and Jeanne weren't enemies.
As Ezekiel walked further into the grounds, he could hear Kokabiel announcing the death of god and saw how bad everyone reacted to the news. Ezekiel internally didn't mind it much, it was just matter of time and maybe it was better that the truth is out in the open. It won't help people to wallow in the past and live a lie. He'd rather see his faction invent themselves new and grow to new heights. A community that is overly reliant on only one individual was always bound to crumble.
What Ezekiel minded though, was why such a fool thought it was his place to run his mouth about his faction, his family. To think that he might even be remotely related to that idiot turned his mood slightly sour. He didn't show it though and steadily walked forward.
As he came closer, he heard Kokabiel further stating how all the factions have grown equally weak and summoned a big light spear. Ezekiel couldn't help but look down on the existence that is Kokabiel. He felt himself superior and sure, from the perspective of the students his attack might seem massive, but that wasn't the case for Ezekiel. He just saw a beaten dog that ran away with its tail between its legs after being beaten by his teacher Vasco Strada, a human.
As Ezekiel came out into the open, he spoke: "Heaven is in no better condition than Grigori? Then let me show you heavens might."
Ezekiel didn't mind the shocked and confused expressions of the others around him and walked into Kokabiel's direction. He reached to his side and gripped his sword from its dimensional sheath. As he slowly drew his weapon, he could see Kokabiel tense slightly as he unconsciously backed away. Ezekiel only had one thought in mind after seeing his reaction. Weak.
"You! Who are you?!" Kokabiel screamed.
"Who I am?" Ezekiel asked, not stopping as he neared Kokabiel and his aura rose to frightening levels seemingly suffocating everyone in the surroundings. Even the crazed fool in the background finally shut up, as the air around Ezekiel seemed to pulse.
"I am Ezekiel. Son of Jequn the seraph! Son of Shiva the God of destruction! I am the youngest seraph and future god of destruction from the Christian faction." His aura reached its peak with the end of his words. Proudness and confidence were oozing out of every fibre of his being.
Kokabiel needed a moment to comprehend the message, but the moment he did he became stiff. All of his experience in countless wars and skirmishes didn't prepare him for what was to come. Kokabiel flew higher as if he thought distance would make a difference.
Ezekiel sneered internally as he materialized his 12 golden wings. They were shining in all their glorious splendour as he spread them. If you were to compare them with Kokabiel's it would be like comparing a hawk with a dove.
"You want to take it into the air?" Ezekiel said as he jumped and at the same time, he swung his sword. A wave of destructive energy shot out and bisected the light spear together with the magic circle in the air nearly at the same time.
By the time Ezekiel reached the same height, both attacks dissipated. They were at eye level and at the same time Kokabiel was far below him.
"You seemed to take pleasure in stomping their beliefs and playing with people that are weaker than you. I hope you are able to entertain me then." Ezekiel said.
Kokabiel blinked due to the pressure and that was a mistake. When he opened his eyes again, Ezekiel was nearly directly in front of him with his sword in a slashing motion. All he could do was angle himself slightly to the side while bringing his wings up to direct the attack elsewhere.
Alas, he was too slow and Ezekiel cleanly sliced through four of his wings leaving nothing but a sorry excuse of their former size behind.
"AAAahhh!!" Kokabiel cried out in pain. A feeling he already forgot in the last decades. Did he rust due to many years of peace? No, it was his opponent. He was just too overwhelming. Since he was too concentrated on the pain, he didn't realise Ezekiel's kick that was aimed at the side of his head.
Before he knew it, he was speeding toward the ground and crashed with a booming sound, creating a large crater.
The bystanders were watching with mixed expressions of awe and fear. Even Jeanne was slightly surprised. She had rarely seen him let lose and with his constant growth it was hard to guess how strong he really was.
Irina and Xenovia showed no fear however since he represented what they worshipped. Or at least part of it.
"You might be stronger than me, but you can't save everybody else!" Kokabiel shouted as he summoned three more Cerberus and sent them, together with the earlier ones toward the onlookers.
Ezekiel only chuckled. He could easily deal with them and Kokabiel at the same time, but it wasn't even necessary. He must have hit his head harder than he thought.
As the dogs neared the group everyone was about to get into a stance when Jeanne stepped forward with an angelic smile. Xenovia shuddered slightly. She knew that smile as much as she knew what would follow.
Jeanne waved her arm and a tsunami-like wave of swords erupted piercing every Cerberus and making them look like nothing more than hedgehogs.
Wasn't that the same as Kiba's attack? How come it was ridiculously more powerful? Jeanne having some of the best teachers from a young age bore its fruits. Her small smile at her handiwork made some of them flinch. Isn't supposed to be a bit saintlier when she is part of the church?
Now even Freed understood that this was completely out of his league and tried to flee. Ezekiel only sighed. Of course, he wouldn't let him run away and cause further trouble in the future. He waved his sword again and in just a moment Freed was bisected as his body slumped to the ground. The attack went on and left a huge cleft in the forest behind.

Azazel was watching from far away. Since he didn't sleep very well last night, he was drinking coffee while watching the proceedings. The moment Ezekiel's wings sprouted he spit out his coffee and coughed violently. After calming himself down, he began to analyse Ezekiel for any details he managed to catch. Since he couldn't hear what was happening over there he could only rely on his intellect. He had 12 golden feathered wings proving his identity as a seraph. But there was more to it. The sharp gaze, the feeling of absolute confidence and that overwhelming aura of destruction. At that moment he remembered a piece of information he got nearly two decades ago. 'Jequn became one of Shiva's wives.' As realisation hit him, he widened his eyes to their utmost limits.
"Oh, f*ck me sideways!" He cursed out loud.
Now if Vali could be called a freak of nature because of his heritage, then Ezekiel was a complete monster! Some of his plans in the future might need a little adjustment. Ezekiel is a completely unknown factor for him. In fact, he is a completely unknown factor for almost anyone. It seems now it was too late to call back Vali. At least he would be able to get an insight in Ezekiel's strength and he was ready to intervene when necessary. He could be considered as an uncle to Ezekiel if his guess was right and that should count as something, right?

"It is time to end-" Ezekiel was about to announce Kokabiel's execution when a silver streak broke into the barrier and was hovering between Kokabiel and Ezekiel.
"And who are you to disrupt me now?" Ezekiel asked. It seems just watching didn't satisfy this individual. Of course, he recognized the armour, but he didn't know the individual inside.
"It doesn't matter who I am. I am to take Kokabiel back toward Azazel for punishment." The flying armour said.
"It seems this generations white dragon emperor is pretty reckless." Ezekiel stated before waving his sword and continuing, "Let this be a warning, there won't be a second."
As the energy wave flew toward him with breakneck speed, Vali only managed to divide it once before it slammed into his torso, causing blood to spray and him to tumble toward the ground.
Ezekiel focused back onto Kokabiel as he hovered several tens of metres above him.
"As I wanted to say, it is time to end you." He ignored Kokabiel's ranting, begging and whatever came out of his dirty mouth as he stretched one of his arms into the sky above.
A magic circle with a diameter of around 50 metres materialized and shined in an intense golden-red colour. As Ezekiel lowered his arm a compact beam fell from the whole diameter of the magic circle.
The world stilled, no sound was heard for a few seconds. It seemed as if the world turned black and white. Then it started. The wind picked up, a shockwave spread out and all the loose rubble shot from the point of impact, destroying part of the school.
It was not just a simple attack, a move to end an adversary. No. It was a statement. A statement, that even the most prideful of devils would understand. It was a statement that his faction wasn't to be underestimated. That he wasn't to be underestimated and that he would not stand by when terrorists wanted to disrupt their life.
All that was left was a gaping hole where one would have to strain his eyes to see the end. Kokabiel was completely obliterated and not even one speck of dust remained.
The jaw of every spectator hung lose and their eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. When realization hit, some began to shake from fear after the demonstration.

Abelia's snack got stuck in her throat and she was coughing heavily. She expected him to be more than he let on, but this was ridiculous. He didn't even look as if he was trying. It seems the talk they would have soon would be far more interesting than she though.

Vali was obviously not going to push his luck any further now. He might be a battle maniac but being aware of your own chances is an essential part of a good fighter and he already erred greatly just a moment before. Fortunately, it seems Ezekiel wasn't after his life. He would have to train himself from the basics again when he came back.
"As I said, it was only a warning and it seems you understood. You can leave now. Do tell Azazel to come himself if he wants something from me." Ezekiel calmly told Vali.
Vali nodded before he was going to fly away but got interrupted by Ezekiel's mumblings.
"On second thought, I will just tell him myself." Ezekiel said as he directed his gaze into the sky far away. He aimed his sword into the direction of seemingly nothing before he fired a concentrated beam of destructive energy while smirking slightly. The beam was extremely fast and had nearly a diameter of 2 metres. As it shot out, it broke through the clouds and dispersed them, freeing the beautiful night sky. Ezekiel however was sure that Azazel wasn't in any real danger from it. He could estimate Azazel's strength more or less if he compared him with Michael. They were always spoken of as rivals after all. That didn't mean that he wouldn't like to mess with him a bit however.

Contrary to Ezekiel's thoughts, it was far closer than he thought. Azazel was sunken in his own thoughts when the attack suddenly came. He narrowly avoided the beam and only the tips of his hair got slightly burned.
"You dumb*ss, alright I understand. Better talk another time then." Azazel grumbled as he teleported away.

Vali sweated slightly at his antics and thought it was best to excuse himself silently.
Ezekiel came back onto the ground and let his wings dissipate again. He stored his sword safely into its dimensional sheathe as he walked into the direction of the group. Honestly, he was disappointed, but it didn't matter anymore, there were bound to be stronger adversaries in the future.
"We will talk tomorrow." He said as he looked into the direction of Rias, who flinched slightly but still managed to nod.
"Let's go, Jeanne." He said as he walked farther.
Jeanne nodded and turned toward the Xenovia and Irina: "Take the Excalibur fragments and follow us."
Xenovia and Irina quickly shuffled to their feet, picked up their own swords and the fused sword Freed used before following behind.
As the four of them left the area, the rest of them let out a breath they didn't know they were holding. The school grounds were in shambles, but that wasn't important anymore.
"What the f*uck was that!" Issei exclaimed what was on everyone's mind, but the others were too shaken to respond. Today was a rollercoaster of emotions. First they thought they would die against an overwhelming enemy but only moments later said enemy was toyed with as if he was a toddler.
Shortly afterwards Team Sitri arrived and Sona asked: "What happened here?!"
Rias could only sigh as she walked into the direction of Sona. Even she was unsure how to explain what happened. They had to wait for tomorrow to get most of their answers it seems.
======
A/N: Here it is. I might have overdone it a bit. Well, I hope you still like it. Ezekiel finally let lose, Kokabiel was far from pulling out the limit of his abilities though.

The peace conference and a few less serious chapters will come next and afterwards it's time for the Brave Saints, his own adventure and occasionally meddling with affairs. Changes will get more apparent as the story goes on.
-o-
I am not sure how much I will be able to write in the coming days. I will publish them as they get ready.
-o-
As I said yesterday, I don't have too much time to write and one chapter a day is already pressing it sometimes. I could have written it in one chapter, but then there wouldn't have been any update yesterday. From my perspective as a reader and writer I think a cliffhanger is a nice stylistic to build suspense, even if I would rather like to avoid it.

Contructive criticism and reasonable opinions are always welcome. Please keep it at a civil level and I will gladly respond when I have the time.
