The Ballroom was small, about half the size of Sebastian's ballroom, but it was still extravagant and no expense was spared. Waiters passed around old, expensive wines that Sebastian always thought tasted like dust, and the floor was polished. Someone played harmonica and fiddle in the distance, and Sebastian wasted no time in pocketing a small napkin that had Jylan's name on it. There wasn't much else he was eager to steal, so he turned to Jylan. Their eyes met, and they both said,

"I don't like parties. Do you?"

Then,

"Uh, then would you want to join me on the balcony-"

And then!

"Oh, we still finish each other's sentences…"

And then, Jylan and Sebastian made a beeline for the balcony doors. It was dark now, and a veil of twilight had settled over the sky, a few stars twinkling like diamonds. The moon was big and bright overhead, and Sebastian leaned over the railing, his elbows on the banister. Jylan did the same before he sighed and rested his head on Sebastian's shoulder.

"Don't tell me you're going to fall asleep." Sebastian scoffed, and Jylan nodded sleepily. The wind blew through the balcony, ruffling both their heads. A lone bird chirped on a tree somewhere. Sebastian put an arm around Jylan's shoulder and sighed.

"I don't know what I'm doing anymore…"

After an hour, Sebastian slowly peeled Jylan off of him and dragged him into his bedroom, taking off his shoes, and then put a blanket over him. Sebastian sighed, got up, and sank into a chair opposite the bed, also grabbing a blanket and making a burrito of himself out of it. The velvet was soft, and the blanket was softer, so Sebastian fell asleep easily.
