Chapter 8 :

Nexus didn't pay much attention to Jade's words and let out a heavy sigh of relief. He had been worried that his experience at the Origin Tower was just an illusion, and that he was not truly the master of the tower.

In just three days, Nexus had made a remarkable recovery thanks to the healing pills provided by Kassius.

The pain that had been tormenting his body had significantly lessened, allowing him to move around with ease. Although his face still bore a slight pallor, walking was no longer a challenge for him, though prolonged standing or walking would still tire him out.

During this time, Nexus had only entered

the Origin Tower twice. Jade had been preoccupied with a task that she claimed would help him fuse with the bloodline flawlessly.

With nothing else to occupy his time, Nexus delved into the books on the tower's first floor, finding them to be a treasure trove of knowledge far surpassing what he had encountered in the Royal Library of the Blue Moon Kingdom.

He also took the opportunity to research the continent he found himself on, and sent Kassius to gather information about the Purple Thorn Kingdom.

In moments of boredom, Nexus would playfully tease Nyx, adding a bit of levity to his otherwise serious endeavors.

On the fourth day since Nexus woke up from his coma.

Nexus woke up on the hard bed early in the morning. As he yawned and rubbed his eyes, he slowly stood up and stretched, feeling a sense of comfort that had eluded him during his previous days of pain.

Peering out of the cracked wooden window, Nexus watched as the rising sun cast a rosy hue across the morning sky. Golden fingers of sunlight lit up the scene. The chorus singing birds drifted into the room, bringing a sense of peace to his heart.

As he gazed dazedly at the morning glow, Nexus realized that he hadn't felt such tranquility since his arrival in this world.

Shaking himself out of his reverie, Nexus made his way out of the room and into the courtyard.

The sight that greeted him was a large yard surrounded by walls, some of which were cracked and crumbling. Despite the decay, the yard appeared clean and well-maintained, as if it had been recently tended to.

In addition to the room he had emerged from, Nexus noticed three other rooms adjacent to his room.

Surveying the aging surroundings, Nexus could see that the courtyard was in a state of disrepair, with many areas showing signs of neglect.

As Nexus stood in the courtyard, lost in thought, he was suddenly brought back to reality by an excited voice behind him. "Your Highness, you have completely recovered!"

Turning around, Nexus saw Nyx approaching with a skip in her step and a bright smile on her face. She was truly a sight to behold, with her long purple hair flowing down her back and a similar pair of p enchanting purple eyes. Her skin white as snow that seemed to sparkle in the morning glow with a perfect figure which can capture the hearts of any man.

Nexus couldn't help but be mesmerized by her beauty.

After snapping out of his daze, Nexus greeted Nyx with a smile. "Good morning, Nyx."

Nyx blushed and asked, "Good morning, Your Highness. Have you completely recovered?"

Just as Nyx finished speaking, Kassius and Sora emerged from their rooms, both wearing smiles.

" Good morning Your Highness" Both of them bowed and greeted Nexus.

" Your Highness, have you completely recovered" Kassius stepped forward and asked.

Nexus nodded with a chuckle, feeling grateful for the caring people around him.

Looking at the three individuals standing before him, Nexus nodded with a sense of gratitude and contentment. He found solace in the fact that he was not alone in this world, surrounded by individuals whom he could consider family.

"Your Highness, you may go and freshen up while Nyx and I prepare breakfast," Sora said warmly, casting a glance at Nyx who nodded eagerly with a silly smile.

"Alright," Nexus agreed, heading off to take his bath.

After a few minutes, Nexus emerged from his bath and sat down at the table where a modest spread awaited him - pickled vegetables, hot broth, rice, and meat.

Though the meal was simple, the aroma was enticing. Glancing at Kassius, Sora, and Nyx, Nexus gestured for them to join him.

"Why are you all standing there? Come, sit and eat with me," Nexus urged.

" Your Highness, servants can't eat at the same table with their masters "Kassius hesitated, citing traditional rules about servants dining separately from their masters.

" Don't care about those stupid rules and besides you are not servants to me".However, Nexus dismissed the notion, insisting that they all sit together as equal.

"From now on, we are family. The rules of this world doesn't apply to us," Nexus declared.

As they settled in to eat, Nexus looked upon them with satisfaction, acknowledging that they were all he had left in the world

"We are family now," he affirmed.

Kassius and Sora beamed at Nexus, grateful that he treated them like family instead of being mean. Nyx gazed at Nexus with stars in her eyes, full of admiration and adoration.

"Come on, let's eat," Nexus said, digging into the rice. The others followed suit, enjoying their meal.

After swallowing a mouthful of rice, Nexus nodded in approval. "This food is simple but delicious."

With food in his mouth, Nexus mumbled, "Grandma Sora, this rice is amazing. You're a great cook."

Sora smiled warmly. "Thank you, Your Highness, for the compliment."<

Nyx chimed in, "Your Highness, you should try the pickled vegetables. I made those."

Nexus looked at Nyx and nodded with a smile, reaching out for the prickled vegetables.

Nexus took a bite, " Hmmm, Nyx I didn't know you are also a freak cook, your food is delicious"

She blushed as Nexus tried them and praised her cooking skills.

Nyx blushed even more as Nexus complimented her, while Kassius watched with a small smile.

The four of them continued eating, creating a warm and happy atmosphere that made Nexus feel content.

As Nexus sat down to enjoy his breakfast, little did he know that inside the Origin Tower, Jade was watching with envy in her eyes.

A huge projection showed Nexus eating, talking, and laughing with Kassius, Sora, and Nyx. Her eyes burned with jealousy as she muttered, "I wish I was there."

Suddenly, Jade's voice filled Nexus's mind, dripping with envy as she said, "Hey, I see you are enjoying yourself."

Nexus was taken aback and paused for a moment, causing Kassius and the others to worry.

Nyx asked nervously, "Your Highness, are you alright? Is the prickled vegetables not delicious anymore?"

Nexus came back to his senses, smiled at Nyx, and reassured "No your food is delicious, I was just thought of something "

As Nexus continued to eat, he communicated with Jade in his mind.

" Jade what is it ?" Nexus asked bewildered.

" I can see that you are enjoying yourself really well. And that girl beside you, is she your girlfriend?" Jade childish voice echoed in his mind.

" Wait, you can see what is happening around me?" Nexus transmitted his voice surprised.

Jade explained " I can see everything within fifty meters around you from within the Origin Tower ".

Nexus was amazed by this new ability of the tower.

" So why did you suddenly appear?, I haven't seen you for the past three days when I entered the tower" Nexus asked.

" Oh, I just want to tell you that you can now fused with the bloodline ". Jade proudly announced.
