Nexus was left speechless as he watched the little girl jump and wave her hands around in excitement. He couldn't help but wonder how lonely she must have been in this tower all by herself.
"Thank you, Master, for giving me a name," the little girl, now known as Jade, said with a silly smile, her eyes squinting in excitement.<
Nexus nodded and replied, "It was the least I could do. And please, don't call me master. Just call me by my name, Nexus. You can refer to me as Nexus."
Jade muttered the name "Nexus" under her breath, looking up at him with joy and excitement.
Nexus nodded in satisfaction, pleased to see Jade adapting quickly to addressing him.
As they strolled around the huge wall, Nexus marveled at the massive pillars that seemed to reach up to the sky.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, what huge pillars those are," he clicked his tongue in wonder. Jade followed beside him with a happy smile on her face.
Suddenly, Nexus stopped in his tracks, causing Jade to bump her head into his back. Turning around, he asked Jade, who was rubbing her head, about the treasures she had mentioned in the Origin Tower.
"I don't see any treasures here," he said.
Jade, pushing up her oversized glasses, explained, "This is just the foundation or basic floor of the Origin Tower. The real floors are up there," she said, pointing her finger upward.
Nexus looked up but only saw faint drawings of constellations.
He searched for an entrance to the floors Jade mentioned but found none.
"I can't see any entrance or door to the floors you're talking about. How are am I supposed to get up there?" he asked, feeling speechless.
"Nexus, there's no entrance to the floors above, but I can take you there right now if you're up for it," Jade said, shaking her head.
Nexus nodded eagerly, curious to see what lay beyond.
"Hold on tight," Jade giggled.
With a wave of her hand, Nexus felt the world spin around him.
When he regained his balance, he found himself standing in front of a massive black door. Nexus was shocked - he hadn't even had time to prepare before finding himself in front of this imposing entrance.
"Welcome to the first floor of the Origin Tower," Jade said, appearing beside him with a proud grin on her face.
"This is the first floor?" Nexus asked, surprised.
"Yes, Nexus, this is the first floor," Jade confirmed.
"And you can only access the first floor for now. To reach the higher floors, you'll need to be incredibly strong," Jade added, placing her hands on her hips.
Nexus took a deep breath as he gazed at the imposing gate before him.
"Do you know what's inside?" Nexus inquired.
Jade's eyes sparkled mischievously as she stuck out her tongue. "Yes, I know what's inside, but I won't spoil the surprise," she teased.
Nexus gave her a sidelong glance and shook his head in disbelief. "This little girl is quite playful," he thought to himself.
"How do I enter this door? Is there a code or something to open it?" Nexus asked, his curiosity piqued as he gazed at the door.
"No, there is no secret code needed to open the door. Just push it, and it will open," Jade replied, giving Nexus a blank look.
"Ah, I see," Nexus nodded, and proceeded to open the door.
As his palms made contact with the massive black door, a loud rumbling sound filled the air as the door slowly opened, emitting a golden glow from within.
The light was so intense that Nexus had to close his eyes. Once his eyes adjusted to the light, he walked into a huge hall that bore some resemblance to the one he had entered first, albeit smaller in size.
What immediately caught Nexus' attention were the towering bookshelves that lined both sides of the hall, stretching endlessly into the distance.
The shelves on his right were filled with books, meticulously arranged according to their levels. The covers of the books were exquisitely crafted from unknown materials.
On his left, scrolls and parchment papers were neatly stacked, also made from unfamiliar substances.
Nexus was astounded by the vast collection of books in the hall. Even the Royal Library of the Blue Moon Kingdom, which he had thought was the largest library he had ever seen, now seemed insignificant in comparison to what lay before him.
As he gazed upon the endless bookshelves filled with books, Nexus felt his heart tremble. Back on Earth, he had always loved reading, and now, surrounded by so many books, he couldn't contain his excitement.
"Isn't it truly spectacular?" Jade's playful voice chimed in beside him.
Nexus nodded in a daze, still trying to process the sheer magnitude of the library before him.
"Why don't you go and see what kind of books they have?" Jade suggested eagerly, her eyes fixed on Nexus as if she were waiting for something extraordinary to happen.
Taken aback for a moment, Nexus eventually nodded in agreement, his curiosity piqued by the thought of discovering the contents of the books.
With determined strides, he approached the nearest bookshelf and selected a book with a purple cover adorned with black characters.
Nexus read out the words written on the cover.
" Blood Refining Art " Nexus was taken back his face filled with shock as he looked at the words written on the cover.
"This is a cultivation technique!" Nexus exclaimed in shock.
" Ha ha ha ha ha ha "
Jade burst into laughter at Nexus's shocked expression, finding amusement in his reaction.
Undeterred by Jade's laughter, Nexus quickly reached for another book with a purple cover adorned with dark characters and began to read aloud.
Traceless Shadow
Sky Splitter
Eternal Flame Arts
Mystic Lightning Arts
Infinite Sword Technique
SunMoon Steps
Shadowless Moon
Instant Transposition
Extreme Thunder Sword
Five Destruction Fist
Skypiercer
As Nexus continued to pull out books and read their titles, his face became increasingly numb from the overwhelming shock he was experiencing.
Looking at the seemingly endless bookshelves filled with books, a dreadful realization dawned on him.
"J..ad..e, please tell me that all the bookshelves on my left are not entirely filled with cultivation and martial arts techniques," Nexus asked with a trembling voice.
"Yes, Nexus, all of these are cultivation techniques and martial arts techniques, but not entirely," Jade exclaimed with a chuckle, clapping her hands.
Confused, Nexus asked, "What do you mean by 'not entirely'?"
Jade adopted a serious expression, adjusting her oversized glasses and placing her hands behind her back as if she were a figure of authority giving a lecture. Nexus was left speechless by her sudden transformation.
She began to explain, gesturing towards the bookshelves filled with a vast array of books. "These shelves contain the treasure of the first floor, and not all of the books are related to cultivation or martial arts techniques. Some contain basic introductions to the Astheria World, information about powerful kingdoms, empires, and other forces. There are also books detailing the various races in Astheria, information about treasures, introductions to different occupations in the world, alchemy recipes, weapon refinement techniques, formations, and much more. Essentially, these books cover all basic information about the Astheria World. In addition, you will find cultivation and martial arts techniques ranging from Mortal Rank to Sky Rank on this floor, which is the lowest level. Remember, there are other floors above this one, where you may be fortunate enough to discover higher ranks of techniques and other valuable information," Jade concluded, speaking rapidly with a sense of pride.
Nexus was utterly astonished by the information provided by Jade.
It took him quite some time to regain his composure, as he was truly taken aback by the vast amount of knowledge contained within the books. He had not anticipated that these books would hold such significant information
The revelation that he could access basic information about renowned and powerful forces from both the past and present in the Astheria World was truly remarkable. Not only did the books contain recipes, formation designs, and weapon blueprints, but they also covered a wide range of Cultivation and Martial Arts Techniques, from Mortal Rank to Sky Rank.
He knew that Cultivation and Martial Arts Techniques are also divided into levels :
Mortal Rank
Earth Rank
Sky Rank
Spirit Rank
Saint Rank
Divine Rank
Each consist of nine grades from one star to nine stars.
So knowing that all the Cultivation and Martial Arts Techniques here ranges from the Mortal Rank to the Sky Rank left him in complete excitement.
Even the Blue Moon Kingdom doesn't have many techniques ranging from the Mortal Rank to the Sky Rank.
Even though the Blue Moon Kingdom doesn't luck Sky Rank Cultivation techniques or Martial Arts Techniques and they might have some techniques above the Sky Rank but he is sure that they don't have such vast techniques.
The sheer magnitude of the collection left Nexus feeling exhilarated. He understood the immense value of these books and the wealth of knowledge they contained.
Having studied about the Astheria World since he was able to read, Nexus was well aware of the importance of secondary occupations in aiding Cultivation and strengthening Cultivators.
These occupations included Alchemy, Weapon Refinement, Formation Master, and Rune Master, each of which was also categorized into stars, ranging from 1 star to 10 stars.
These occupations played a significant role in Cultivators lives. For example, weapons can increase the combat power of Cultivators by several times and the pills concocted by Alchemists can help Cultivators breakthrough their bottlenecks or even heal grave wounds.
