Chapter 29 : Bloodbath

In the inner sanctum of the Royal Palace, once the domain of the Moonheart Family, now stands the newly crowned Mysthaven King, Nexus. The destruction wrought by his group is evident, a stark reminder of the power they wield.

In the center of the grand hall, Nexus is flanked by his loyal companions, Kassius and Lexx, who appear to be delivering a report.

"Your Majesty, we have thoroughly searched all the Noble Families and acquired a substantial amount of resources, particularly food and money," Kassius reports with a respectful bow.

Nexus nods, inquiring, "How much have we obtained from our search?"

Kassius quickly produces a document filled with detailed information and begins his report, "We have discovered a significant amount of food in their warehouses. While we can only estimate the exact quantity due to time constraints, it is sufficient to sustain the people of the Capital City for at least three months. Additionally, we have secured various weapons, armor, cultivation techniques, martial arts techniques, low-ranked pills, and other valuable resources. In total, we have acquired approximately ten million gold coins, as well as a variety of miscellaneous items."

With his report concluded, Kassius gazes expectantly at Nexus, awaiting further instructions.

Nexus was surprised to hear about the amount of resources looted from the Nobles, especially the food and money. These Nobles were really wicked, hoarding so much food while allowing the commoners to starve, and the amount of money was quite large.

Even though ten million gold coins might not have been much for the previous Nexus when he was the Prince of the Blue Moon Kingdom and he had also seen much more in his previous life on Earth. Money was just a number to him back then, but now, this ten million gold coins were really important and could help him do many things.

In the Astheria World, the currency was in copper, silver, and gold coins. A hundred copper coins equaled one silver coin, and a hundred silver coins equaled one gold coin. Nexus had also read in the Royal Library of the Blue Moon Kingdom that there were higher currencies, but he didn't know much about them.

Nexus snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Kassius," Distribute the food to the people in the Capital and leave some for the army. Also Grandpa Kassius assemble the soldiers at the barracks in five days. As for the money and other resources, keep them for now ".

Kassius bowed and Nexus waved his hand, allowing him to go handle the task.

" Lexx gather everyone in front of the hall " Nexus said as his eyes flashed coldly with killing intent.

"Yes, Your Majesty," Lexx nodded before disappearing from the hall.

As Nexus strode out of the hall, he was met by a formidable sight: a hundred black-armored guards standing in perfect formation, their faces set with determination and a hint of menace.

As soon as Nexus emerged, each guard dropped to one knee in a show of respect.

"Your Majesty," their voices rang out in unison.

"Arise," Nexus replied nonchalantly, positioning himself in front of the hall with his hands clasped behind his back.

The hundred black-armored guards stood up and gazed at Nexus with reverence. Nexus returned their gaze, nodding in acknowledgment before speaking softly, "Our work is far from finished. While the Nobles may have been dealt with, there are still numerous criminals, gangs, and bandits plaguing the Kingdom. It is our duty to eradicate them all."

Based on the information gathered by Lexx, there are approximately ten towns, two cities, and several small villages still remaining in the Kingdom.

Unfortunately, most of the towns and cities have been overrun by criminals and other nefarious forces. However, the villages serve as a safe haven for the citizens of the Kingdom.

The criminals do not dare to enter these villages, as they are inhabited by impoverished villagers. Tragically, people in these villages are dying every day due to hunger and several other reasons.

The criminals within the Kingdom may not possess great strength, but they are known for their ruthless behavior towards both themselves and their enemies. Many of these individuals are affiliated with either a gang or a bandit force.

Information indicates that there are two predominant criminal forces within the Kingdom, each based in the two cities. Additionally, criminal elements can also be found within the ten towns scattered throughout the Kingdom.

" Lexx divided them into five teams. You and Tyler are leading two teams, while other team leaders are leading the remaining two teams. I will personally lead the last team. Your mission is to take on the towns, eliminate any criminals you encounter, and ensure the safety of the people. As for me I will take on the two cities, we must quick don't waste time we must kill all of them before the other forces react, do you understand". Nexus said in a loud and commanding voice.

" Yes Your Majesty".

"Move out now!" Nexus bellowed. The hundred black-armored guards swiftly divided into five teams of twenty, each led by a team leader, and dispersed from the Capital City in different directions.

Nexus stood atop the city wall, observing as the teams departed in various directions.

Behind him stood his own team, dressed in black armor with black cloaks and hoods. Nexus, distinguished by his red cloak and long blade strapped to his back, signaled for them to follow.

"Let's go," Nexus commanded as he leaped down from the city wall, his team trailing behind.

They headed west towards the two remaining cities, their speed unmatched as they moved like a gust of wind. In just a few swift movements, they vanished into the distance.

Blackwood City is one of the two remaining cities in the Mysthaven Kingdom, formerly known as the Purple Thorn Kingdom.

It was once one of the largest cities in the Kingdom, second only to the Capital. However, it is now under the control of a notorious gang known as the Misty Gang.

During the reign of the Nobels, Blackwood City was traded to the Misty Gang in exchange for money.

The gang was pleased to have such a significant city as their criminal headquarters. As a result, Blackwood City has transformed into a den of criminal activity, with various criminals freely roaming the streets.

The Misty Gang extorts protection fees and entrance fees from anyone entering or settling in the city.

The inhabitants of the city have been turned into slaves, with women bearing the brunt of the suffering. Men are either forced to join the gang or perform hard labor for them.

Tragically, the city sees daily occurrences of violence, with individuals being killed if they are unable to defend themselves adequately.

Blackwood City has become a dangerous and lawless place, where the vulnerable are exploited and lives are constantly at risk.

Several hundred miles away from Blackwood City, Nexus and his team stood atop a small hill, gazing at the sprawling city in the distance.

Nexus nodded in acknowledgment as he took in the impressive size of the city before them. Known as the second largest city in the Kingdom, Blackwood City held a special significance due to its proximity to the Emerald Mountain Range, where dangerous beasts roamed freely.

This unique location made Blackwood City a crucial transit point for hunters and rogue Cultivators traveling between the city and the treacherous mountains.

The hunters and rogue Cultivators take a break in the city to rest and replenish their equipment before embarking on a journey to the Emerald Mountain Range. There, they hunt various beasts and search for treasures but now the city is infested with criminals of various kinds.

Nexus turned his head to the east of the city and gazed at the rolling, gigantic mountains that seemed to pierce the sky. These majestic mountains, rising and falling in the distance, make up the breathtaking Emerald Mountain Range.

Nexus turned his gaze back to Blackwood City, his expression cold and calculating.

According to the intelligence gathered by Lexx about the Misty Gang, there are hundreds of members within the organization, with only one Spirit Realm Cultivator among them.

The majority of the members are at the first or second layer of the Essence Meridian Realm, with some lacking any cultivation base at all. Despite this, they possess physical strength that surpasses that of ordinary mortals.

The Misty Gang is unaware that the Nobles have been eliminated. Nexus had previously instructed Tyler to seal off the Capital City, preventing anyone from entering or leaving. As a result, only those within the Capital are aware of the Nobles' downfall.

Nexus raised his head and looked at the setting sun in the horizons and it's seems it won't belong before darkness falls.

Nexus turned looked at the team behind him, " Kill every Misty Blood Gang member and any other criminal in the city, kill without mercy but make sure to keep the people safe ".

" Yes Your Majesty". The twenty people responded in unison. Nexus waved his hand as they made their way towards the city albeit discreetly.

Located in the heart of Blackwood City is a grand residence that once belonged to the city lord. However, it has now been transformed into the headquarters of the notorious Misty Gang, where its members reside and carry out their criminal activities.

On this particular day, the gang members are going about their usual routine, nobody dares to approach their stronghold without being a part of the gang.

But now at the entrance of the residence, a group of twenty people clad in black armor stand at there, exuding a menacing aura.

This team of twenty people is Nexus and his group the security of the Blackwood City is not high, they were able to infiltrate the city and reach the entrance of the Misty Gang without being detected.

As Nexus stood at the front, he slowly drew the long blade from his back and infused it with his spirit energy.

The blade began to vibrate intensely, surrounded by swirling red colored colored energy. With a swift motion, Nexus raised his hand and slashed at the massive gate.

" BOOOOOOOOM "

A deafening boom echoed through the air as a beam of red light shot towards the gate. Half of the wall crumbled, creating a massive ditch that extended into the gang's territory. Buildings were torn apart or completely destroyed, and many gang members were taken out by a single attack.

In a secluded building deep within a residence, a strong man was peacefully sleeping in bed with five beautiful women beside him.

Suddenly, he was jolted awake by the loud noise. "What's that noise?" he muttered, quickly throwing on his clothes before dashing out of the room, leaving the five women still in bed.

As the Misty Gang's entrance was destroyed by the Nexus attack, chaos ensued. Figures poured out from all directions, looking bewildered and lost.

"Kill everyone," Nexus commanded before vanishing.

The team behind him nodded in agreement and unleashed their auras. They quickly drew their weapons and began attacking the confused gang members who were still trying to make sense of the situation.

The moment Nexus disappeared ten gang members were split in the middle with blood and guts spraying everywhere.

The next moment another dozen of gang members heads were flying in the air with blood gushing out like a fountain, in just one breath Nexus managed to kill hundreds of gang members.

Nexus' team were not idle either as they also jumped into crowd like a pack of wolves, killing everyone in their sight, with a single swing of their weapons a head would roll.
