Ancestor of Cultivation

Zhou Yongnian was taught the way of cultivation by the supreme deity Shangdi. However, what the god didn't tell Zhou Yongnian is that he must teach the humans of modern times how to cultivate. Follow him as he tries his hardest to follow up on the impossible. Disclaimer: This is a parallel universe. Not everything may be historically accurate. No clue why I must disclaim this.

A New Era

Li had tried to wait for his highschool graduation to tell the world about the wonders of cultivation, however for the past few days he had been getting visions of the future and he felt he was obligated to tell the world.

'This is the part I was dreading the most.' Li turned on his camera to his few thousand subscribers and began by introducing himself.

"Hello, wonderful people of the world. My name is Gabriel, and what I'm about to show you is extraordinary."

(He had decided not to give his name away or show his face. He also applied a voice changer.)

"Since the dawn of humanity, the extraordinary practice of cultivation has been referenced way too little for something so imperative to the world." Li tried to state the absolute importance of his message.

"Please pay full attention to what I'm about to show you." Li sat in his familiar lotus pose, closed his eyes, and began drawing qi to himself.

He opened his eyes shortly after and said, "Please follow the instructions on the video screen."

1. Begin in a very quiet room with no outside interference

2. Sit in the lotus position that has been shown to you

3. Close your eyes and focus on the spiritual tether between you and the Earth.

4. Begin trying to pull that energy toward yourself

5. Maintain this position until you feel a cool sensation. Enter your body

6. DO NOT freak out and stop midway through your spiritual awakening as this risks damaging your soul

"These are the instructions to cultivating. Do not take this as a trolling attempt and try it right now. There is absolutely nothing for you to lose and everything for you to gain."

Li tried to keep as calm as possible. When he clicked the upload video at first, it was silent.

---

5 minutes later.

---

Li's computer and phone started blowing up with comments of genuine shock and confusion. He understood the anarchy this video would bring but took the risk anyway.

Littleman336: WTFFF, IT ACTUALLY WORKS YOU GUYS HAVE TO TRY THIS.

Goldminer9: GUYS, IT ACTUALLY WORKS, JUST LIKE THE LIGHT NOVELS😱😱😱

AbyssTamer: HOWWWWWWWW

The comments were all pretty much the same, but Li decided to go to sleep and wake up and deal with it tomorrow.

WORLDWIDE ANNOUNCEMENT

---

Every news channel, Mewtuber, and blogger were all covering the same thing.

Cultivation was real. There was now no denying it Li had woken up the next morning to a cacophony of noise generated by his phone and his parents yelling for him.

"Li, Li! Get down here!" They sounded urgent, so Li sped down the stairs only to find two anxious parents at the dining table.

"What's wrong, mum and dad?" Li stated in bewilderment. He sort of already knew what this would be about, though.

"I didn't think you'd tell everyone so soon. Thought we'd have more time. We aren't greedy, though we're glad you're helping the populous." Li's parents said in a happy façade.

"Don't worry, I'll help you two wherever I can. Don't think that just because I'm telling everyone means that I'd leave you for greater opportunities."

"Thank you son, it means the world to us that you'd still think about us even after you found something greater." Nathan said with a sincere smile, and tears began welling up in his eyes.

"Don't cry father you have some cultivating to do." Li had naturally assumed everything would be put on hold for news of this magnitude.

As if someone would go into work when they could become stronger than blackholes. Only crazy men would do that. Good that news doesn't make it inside prison very fast.

Though the progress of world cultivation would slowly rise naturally, so too would everything else, including animals.

See, when people cultivate, they slowly pull the surrounding qi toward themself, which naturally cause a minute error that has to be fulfilled by the surrounding area.

So, in this case, the Qi of nature is being slowly pulled away from the uninhabited zones where just animals live.

And instinctually, their bodies resist it, so they too cultivate to counteract the loss of a natural balance. It's like a game of tug of war.

So, the animals cultivation will begin rising as human cultivation rises, but the power difference is immense.

Humans cultivate faster, so they are naturally stronger against opponents with a weaker cultivation, but when an animal like a black bear breaks through all of its natural attributes rise by an alarming amount.

So humans usually can not fight with strong opponents like bears and snakes when their cultivation is on par or slightly stronger than the animal.

Li didn't know about this though so he went upstairs and cultivated as usual but it felt different this time because many people were trying to use the surrounding qi at the same time so it was again like a game of tug of war.

Li obviously got the most out of his session because he had the strongest spiritual force. He was an opponent no one dared to take qi from because they could feel his formidable aura while they cultivated near him.

Slightly agitated Li went to his field, and it was much more peaceful there, and no one was nearby, so he was able to cultivate diligently.

He connected to Mother Gaia for about 6 hours before he felt something welling up inside him. He felt a breakthrough coming!

'Finally, I'm going to reach the 3rd stage of Spirit Pool Manifestation!' Li thought excited as hell for his new breakthrough.

The qi began rapidly filling up all of his spiritual pools until finally, it made a small explosion inside his dantian akin to a firework.

It was symbolic of regrowth and new life. "I'm so damn glad I can finally rest." Li said tiredly.

Breakthroughs aren't very exciting. they're only the realm breakthroughs that are truly interesting.

He trudged home drained, which was odd because he should be invigorated. However, he was just mentally tired

Going through the door to his house and ignoring everything, he finally made it up to his bedroom

As Li laid his head upon his pillow, he drifted off to sleep. he dreamt of a New Era of Humans and the things they could now accomplish.

Sorry for the long wait my friends
