Derah Mountain (2)

The wedding organizer exhibited little skepticism as she walked out.

Indeed, Derah mountain was surrounded by extremely pleasing landscape, and there was a century-old prominent spot in the uphill station for traditional marriage ceremonies.

It would be an awe-struck spot for their marriage commemoration except the calamity prevailing right now in the region might bring disaster. The church has stopped conducting rituals a long time ago, it would be a breakthrough if the marriage took place in the venue, and it would be the talk of the town.

Not just the talk of the town, it would be the talk of the nation, or even in the world news channels. It would be free publicity for their wedding organizing firm.

As tempting, it sounded for the organizer, she knew the risk involved. Thus, she headed to Madam Luyisa to confirm the location.

"Derah Mountain?! Did she really say that?" Luyisa enquired in disbelief while the organizer nodded in affirmative.

"Is that the girl's dream spot to get married? Petty girl! She never had what she desired for. Fine! let her new beginning starts with what she yearned. As Anna proclaimed, make the arrangements. If you find difficulty in getting permission contact me."

The wedding organizer remarked with a smile, "Madam! You are a considerate mother-in-law that I have ever met. Sure, this wedding event is going to be the talk of the town. The only thing I afraid is that we cannot call as many prominent people as we want, there would be a security risk!"

"Never mind! We can have after marriage party in the city later." Luyisa, as she clarified, her imagination ran of how her son and Anna face each other in the aisle as they take their marriage oath.

"Concentrate more on the wedding arena! it should be of one that Anna would never forget in her life."

"Rest assured! It sure will be one of a kind!" When the event organizer spoke the words, She had no idea how much it was going to be true.

In the middle of the night, Shane returned home fully exhausted. His eyelid weighed heavy to open, he entered his room with no much of concentration to the girl sleeping in his bed. He walked to his bathroom to take a quick shower.

His young build bestowed a strong muscle and flawless skin. He touched the shower tap, and the hot water touched his strained muscle, he relaxed a bit with closed eyes.

Shane might be a young man but the way he carries himself was a sure thing to be noted. He was a domineering and unapproachable man.

The one who works hard would attract any woman no matter how he looked. What more, Shane had a face that would compete with any supermodel. Furthermore, he just turned twenty-two this month, the most desired age.

Shane walked out of the shower with just a towel loosely wrapped onto his waist. He entered the dimly lit room and sat on the side of his bed, he proceeded to wipe the wetness of his smooth body with a towel.

Anna, on the other hand, buried herself in the thick blanket and there was no trace of her presence in the bed when overlooked. She breathed steadily in her sleep, and her consciousness was out of this world arena, to begin with.

Once done, Shane tossed the towel aside and sprawled in the bed in comfort. Promptly, his hand laid on a bundle beside him, his dizzy mind wondered what could be it.

As he perceived lazy to open his eyes to take a look, he let his hands wander on the bundle to explore it. In that instant, He heard a woman's screeching sound very close to his ear which brought a panic attack to him.

Shane instantly sat up to switch on the light to see which demon was occupying his bed. To his shock, He found Anna's shuddering frame beside him, and she was clutching the blanket tightly to wrap her entire being. The only visible part of Anna was her eyes, which was peering out of the blanket in fear.

Shane's face turned red in embarrassment when he realized that he just now laid his hands on Anna who occupied the other side of his bed. His voice broke as he said, "I am sorry! But what are you doing in my bed?"

Anna relaxed a bit discovering that it was only Shane who pressed her stomach. However, she felt a little struggled to be this close to him, not to mention, in the same bed. Embarrassment engulfed her, and her clutch on the blanket retained firmly.

Anna stared blankly at him with no words to retort. 'His bed?! Yeah! It sure was his bed, and his room. But where else can I go?'
