Morning sun rays crept into the room painting the bright yellow walls even brighter. The alarm clock on the left side of the bed screamed at its lungs waking Anna, "Damn it! I just shut my eyes, it's already morning." She groggily mourned.
She threw the bedside clock heedlessly, "You just die, you stupid clock!" but it landed in the laundry basket making a perfect goal. It continued to screech breaking the silence in the room, "Ah..... you didn't die already."
She got down from the bed and stumbled towards the noise not opening her eyes. Her hair stood in all directions like a haystack and she yawned loudly in her way. She let her hands wander in the laundry basket, 'Here! I got you!'.
She started hammering the alarm unrhythmically and once the screech subsided, she through it again into the same laundry basket.
She peeked the bed once again through her half-opened eyes, 'Oh! so inviting, Here I am coming.'
She hugged the pillow tight in her arms and curled in her comfortable bed, 'mmm... Feels so good... ok! What's all today's task is,
First of all, clutch Shane's attention.
Second, murder the mad professor, ahh... Just joking...
Third, to find perfect timing for today's drill.
and then... have I forgot something... what was that...'
Her stomach started growled, "Whatever, I have to fill my stomach first."
She dragged herself to the bathroom and undid her clothes before immersing herself in the warm water, 'Mmm... good... Maybe, I can have another nap her, it is so soothing! ahh... What is so bothering my mind... What did I forget, it is so annoying...'
Her lazy eyes shot open, when she thought the word 'annoying', "Oh no! I have to meet that annoying man, Jacob today."
She quickly covered herself with body shower and didn't even care to rub it, with another hand she applied shampoo and massaged roughly on her hair. Just in three minutes she finished showering and ran out straight to her closet, and on her way, she checked the time in the wall clock, "Oh shit! it is already 7.30 am. it's late. it's late!"
She started digging the closet randomly and pulled a blue jean and a wrinkled loose maroon t-shirt. A second thought crossed her mind, 'Drill! I cannot wear a loose T-shirt for drilling', she pulled a sports bra and also a tank top.
She wore all in one go, she knotted the edge of the loose maroon T-shirt on top of all, "Ahh... I look so bundled, anyway it will be cold, this setup might help me stay warm"
'Girl! you are getting late!' her inner voice reminded her one more time. "I am sorry, I am sorry! oh my... I might go crazy sooner."
'You are already crazy enough'
"if you were not my inner conscience, I would have killed you a long time ago."
'Shut up and get out, make it on time.'
She sneaked out the building, and looked for a clearance to escape but unfortunately got caught by her bodyguard, Anna waved at him awkwardly, "Oh! Hey there! Didn't you go for breakfast already." 'Man! why are you here.'
"Miss! You are so early, why you didn't inform me earlier. Just give me five minutes, I'll be right back to take you."
"Ah! no... Wait... hmm... I actually want to go alone, you can come and pick me in the evening, how was that, you can have a day off?"
"Sorry, Miss! I can't let you go alone, your security is my priority."
"Is there any way around..." she looked at him with pleading eyes.
"No Miss! I'll be fired if I let you go alone unguarded and also I have to pay penalty for my mistake." Guard stood there with utmost sincerity and his heart was begging, 'So madam please have some mercy on me.'
"Ok! You can follow me but keep it as a secret between us and you should never say a word about where we are heading to Shane. You got me?"
"Yes!" he promised.
"Quick, Quick! I am already late."
