Chapter 2: The Emperor Is Here

My shocking reaction seemed to startle Rain as well. She said in a panicked voice "Your majesty!!! You should not behave like that. It's an honor to become the first Queen Mother. Each person in this whole country is very happy while receiving the news of the new prince. Your such reaction will make commotion in between them. You should restrain your act."

Whatever Rain said I could not catch any of those because the word mother was ringing in my ears. 'MOTHER' such a great word, but for me, I really never felt I had one. She was so busy with managing the company that she could never bought time for me. Except for carrying me during those 9 months till my birth, I never had any physical contact with her in my whole 18 years of life. So, this 'MOTHER' word always gives me chills. Then how come I can manage to become one?

I, who never knew about motherly love, how could I show my affection as one then? These questions were going round and round in my head and I was fully absorbed in my thoughts. I regained my senses back when Rain started shaking me. "Your majesty???" Rain was looking at me with her eyes full of worries. I somehow get myself together and said, "I really don't understand what you are talking about. First of all, tell me where I am exactly. And what is this place??? A palace?? Where? When? And how did I come here? And why you are also here with me???"

Hearing all my questions and looking at my confused look Rain poured water into a glass and extended it towards me saying "drink it and don't panic, I'll tell you everything you need to know." I grabbed the glass in my right hand and gulped it down. Rain continued her story again.

"This is the Sixteenth Year of Solar Star Calendar. You are currently the First Queen of the Third Generation Ruler of Solar Empire, Aelius Louis Heliandres. Your name currently is Angelina Luna Heliandres. Your Family name was Luna and you kept it after marriage as well. You were the princess of The Lunar Empire. You got married to our emperor three years ago and recently gave birth to the prince. It is true that you died on that car accident in your past life and reincarnated about thousands of years back in the history."

I was not in a position to say anything. But a lot of questions were still stirring my brain upside down. I couldn't understand why it was happening to me so I asked her what was in my heart, "But why me?" Rain seemed to be looking at me with pity in her eyes. She said, "That is your fate. It seems the god of love Valentino still doesn't want to look at you. The actual Angelina Luna was a very loving person. She was the one and only daughter of the Emperor Ehann and Empress Elara. She got all the love of her parents and her brothers. She was the youngest one among her siblings. With a very bright and angelic appearance she was the Jewel of her Parent's Eyes. Because of her tender heart and kind nature all the people in her country loved her dearly so, she never had to seek for love. But the one and only mistake of her life was falling for the wrong person. Our Emperor Aelius is a great warrior. Like his name he is the blazing sun of our country. It is said that he can kill thousands of enemies in the battlefield single handedly, so the people in our country hails him as the reincarnation of the God of Sun. Once when the Lunar Empire was under a secret attack by the Mosems, our neighboring country which is infamous for practicing Witchcraft; the 2nd eldest son of the Emperor Ehaan, Prince Linus was in our country for a visit on that time. As soon as he got the news of his country, he seeked his majesty's help to cope with this situation. As his majesty was the childhood friend of Prince Linus, he helped them to get over this crisis without delaying. The Mosems tried to kidnap Princess Angelina but they never succeed because our majesty Aelius reached there on time and saved her from the grasp of Mosems.

              Princess Angelina met with Crown Prince Aelius when she was abducted so, for her Crown Prince was her savior. She fell in love with him at that very moment when he was fighting with those Mosems for her. So, after her country regained peace, she wished to marry Prince Aelius and wanted to serve him until her last breath. But she never imagined her life will come to the end this soon.

Likewise, to fulfill her wish, the marriage proposal was sent in our country and as our Prince was also in his right age for the marriage, the late emperor accepted the proposal. She came in our Country only in her fifteen. She loved all the people here and, in the response, she also received affection of our subjects. Whole country loved her charming and kind personality very much. She was like a soft flower petal whose heart cried even for an injured animal. She received all of our love and care, just the only thing she could never ask for was his majesty Aelius's Heart. Queen Angelina loved his majesty for several years but she never received the warmth she deserved. At last, she thought that maybe if she gives birth to his majesty's child, he will look at her. So, she got pregnant with his majesty's baby. The whole country was very happy receiving this joyous news. But his majesty only gifted her with a very rare and expensive piece of jewel as a token of his happiness. She was heartbroken, she never asked for anything except for his time. But he always ignored her initiatives and only completed the responsibilities of a husband. There was not any trace of love in their marriage. This child came into an existence due to responsibility and not because of love. So, after that day when she received that pricy necklace in return for asking his affection, she also started distancing herself from him. This dead silence was very painful for all of us. From that very day onwards, she never saw his majesty's face because she did not take any initiative and wanted him to come to her first. As a result, in these long nine months, each and everyday she cried and seeked for his majesty's love but he never came. So, the day of the birth of new prince, she said to me that she wished to never see his majesty again in this life.

           I think this time the god granted her wish and she died due to excessive labor pain. That day His majesty really came, but there was only the cold body of her lying on the bed. Our Majesty Aelius came and hold those cold hands for some time and suddenly her majesty's body started to respond to his touch.

And you reincarnated in this body to give birth to the prince. Though your body is still fragile but you endured it well. Now, why it has to be you and not anyone else that may be because both of you, Angelina Steve and Angelina Luna were born on the same day and same time. Your guardian star was also same, you guys look identical and you both survived from love sickness. But princess Angelina at least received her family's love where you never had that as well. So, when she wished to die, you wished to born again to find love. I think the rest is the choice made by the god."  She heaved a long sigh after stopping. I also seem to understand the situation. But one question remains still there. "But how do you know both Angelina from different time??? You said the god want me to find my true love in this life, but how? The emperor was so indifferent towards Angelina Luna, so how can I make him love me??? From your description he seemed to a very cold and emotionless person so how is it possible???"

Rain now put her hands on my shoulder and said with a gentle smile, "You can say I serve the almighty and that is why I know both of you. And for the Emperor, I have seen Aelius from the time he was born. Her mother was very caring towards him but being a mother and being a mother for the whole nation isn't the same thing. So, she could not bear the pressure of the Queen's Crown and developed situational anxiety and depression. So, she died only at the age of thirty when our little prince Aelius was just ten years old. The young Aelius never wanted to accept this truth and kept saying his mother promised to be with him forever. But the truth is irrefutable. So, gradually with the time he accepted his mother's death but with this acceptance one more thing grew in his heart that the women always break their promises. His mother leaving his side hit him very hard to conclude it that way."

After a pause, Rain put her hand on my head affectionately and spoke. "He is a good person, he has a golden heart, it's just there is a strong barrier around it, which can only get vanish with love and courage. Her majesty the actual Angelina Luna loved him endlessly, but her tender heart could not give him enough courage to love her back. So, you have to give him a lot of courage, you have to become a positivity in his life so that his notion against the women would vanish. Forget about the past life you had, forget the love and affection you could not get. Start a new life in this Solar Empire and Love His Majesty Aelius, be his strong pillar of support and moreover love your little son. He has nothing to do with the adult's matter. When he was in her womb, he never gets to have that affection. So, you have to love him the most."

With her words, I remembered how much I missed the parental care and love, so I took oath in my heart that I will never let him experience the same childhood as me. I will love him and become a great mother. While I was lost in my thoughts, I heard a knock in the door. Rain went and opened the door. I saw a girl who seemed to be an attendant carrying a baby covered in a white cloth from head to toe. She was talking with Rain but I could not remain still. I wanted to see the baby; whom I gave birth to. So, I tried to go there walking by myself. I stepped down from the bed. My legs did not have a great strength but still I tried to walk. I could take only two steps very slowly before my legs gave out. I was ready to meet with the marble floor under my feet as I closed my eyes tightly. But even after some seconds had passed, I didn't feel any pain. So, I tried to peek at the situation.

As soon as I opened my eyes, they met with a pair of ocean blue eyes. I seemed to be drowning in them, those eyes looked so deep that one cannot turn away their gaze after looking at it once. His hair color was golden brown which was complementing his fair skin tone. With a sharp pointed nose, two perfect boyish lips and manly appearance he seems to glow like a sun. He was grabbing me by my waist to restrain my fall. I was too much in a daze that only after calling me several times, I heard Rain's voice. But what she said took my breath away, "Her Majesty, The Emperor is here!!!". It made me instantly came back to reality as I thought it was him. But before I could say anything, he picked me up in his strong arms and put me in the bed again. I was very embarrassed for looking at him like that for so long. I could not look at him anymore but I heard him saying, "Are you alright now?"

His voice made my heart skip a beat. I thought in my heart that the actual Angelina Luna wasn't that stupid to fell for his first sight. Anyone would love this face without a doubt. Moreover, he also fought against the Mosems for her, so it was definitely a given situation she was in. As I didn't say anything, he again asked, "Where were you going previously?"

On this note I pointed my index finger towards that attendant and said while looking down, "I want to see him".  As I said that he went and took the baby from her hand and placed him on my lap saying, "His name is Albert Louis Heliandres. It's been two days since he was born."

                I couldn't contain my tears anymore. I cried as soon as I touched his little hand. He is so small that his two hands can fit only in my one palm. His small fingers, small eyes, big eyelashes, a little nose and a pair of tiny plump lips all looked so tender. His hair has a light brown color which seemed the same as mine. I kissed in his forehead while uttering, "Albert…" His fingers moved a little while I called him by his name so I was overexcited as my tears were escaping my eyes continuously.

He was standing there in front of us but when I started crying, he put his hand on my hand saying "Don't cry, it's okay." He said it like he was trying to coax me to calm down. But it triggered my emotions more and I started crying harder. Then he asked Rain to take Albert away as he was sleeping peacefully. Rain took Albert from me and left the room with the attendant. The giant room now had only me and Aelius left with the sniffling sounds.

He came closer to me and sat on the bed. Then he embraced me in a tight hug. I felt that I found a meaning to keep living. I wanted to forget my past, wished to remove those painful memories of not being loved and embrace this man to start anew. So, I clutched his overcoat and poured my heart out. He kept patting my head while whispering in a low voice, "It's fine, I'm here with you".

That was a long night but I kept feeling his warmth by my side. It was heart fluttering. With the tears that I shaded that night, I let go my all-past memories with them.  I felt refreshed after waking up in the morning. So, the first question in the morning that I asked to Rain was "Where is His Majesty?"
