Big Day Out in Novar! Part Three

Nao's voice turned more enthusiastic as she delved into an explanation of the five sectors that comprised the second and third rings of Novar.

"Each sector mirrors the culture and identity of one of the five other major cities in the world. They represent the responsibilities of the Five Guilds that make up the conglomerate of 'The Guild.'"

We found ourself lost in the vivid descriptions of the sectors, as Nao brought to life the essence and culture of each district.

"The Northern District, known as 'Brüer Valor,' in Dwarvish, mirrors the sturdy and earthy atmosphere of Valoria, 'The Kingdom in the Arctic.'

Skilled blacksmiths and dwarven artisans create exquisite weapons and armors here. The rhythmic clanging of hammers fills the air, immersing one in the rich Dwarven culture of Valoria."

She took a breath before continuing, not bothering to see if anyone was really paying attention, although We were enthralled.

"The North-Eastern District, known as 'Aerth,' captures the vibrant colors and swirling uniqueness of Allihara, 'The Kingdom in the Desert.'

Talented tailors and leather-workers create lightweight armors perfect for traversing arid landscapes. This sector is a melting pot of Genasi cultures, with Fire and Air Genasi prevailing as the dominant race there."

Nao was such a great descriptor, that we could almost hear and smell the bustling bazaar, filled with exotic scents and the vibrant Genasi population.

"Moving to the South-Eastern District, called 'Kuluth,' we enter a sector of the city that is indicative of the enigmatic world of Parvania, 'The Kingdom in Darkness.'

Tall buildings cast long shadows, and dimly lit alleyways house skilled thieves and assassins. The gothic and infernal architecture adds a touch of mystery and danger to this sector, although it feels a lot like my home sector in Chao Yeng, back in Kara Tur."

Lavender smiled, nodding. It was clear her nobility may have ties to those in Kuluth… We will note that for later.

"The South-Western District, known as 'Glittersteel,' is a testament to the mechanical ingenuity of Avana, 'The Kingdom of Engineers.'

Gnomes, renowned for their innovation, artificing, and intelligence, populate this sector. Steam pipes, clanging machinery, and various workshops filled with wondrous contraptions, loud noises, and the occasional explosion, dominate the landscape."

We heard Maevris go "Ooooooooh… explosions…" under her breath, and We couldn't help but laugh. Nao smiled and continued talking, saying,

"Finally, in the North-Western District, which is called 'Alda'sîr,' we find inspiration from Natar, 'The World Tree Kingdom.'

Towering trees, serene gardens, and practitioners of natural magic; such as rangers, Druids, and various fighters, create a haven of tranquility in the bustling city. The tranquil beauty of this Elven-inspired district brings a sense of calm and harmony to the vivid and often bustling tapestry of Novar.

As the flashback faded, I opened my eyes to the present moment. Ezri stood before me, her furrowed brow reflecting her confusion and annoyance.

"Ezri," We said, realizing Our slip-up, "We apologize for Our earlier words. We meant no offense… We worship the Luxon, just like you do."

She raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical of Our sincerity. "The Luxon, huh? Well, you sure have a strange way of showing it, bud. And who said I actually DO worship the Luxon? That was all in your head, Bee-face."

We approached her, a few bees buzzing around my head. "Perhaps We are an odd follower… But if it matters to you, We hold a deep and loving devotion to the Light. There's no need for any animosity, you know?."

Ezri's expression softened slightly, and she shrugged dismissively. "Whatever. Let's just get on with finding your stupid suit. What about that place?"

She pointed at a beautiful, albeit small, shop; adorned with a sign depicting an artistic rendition of a tunic. In the front window of this shop was 3 rudimentary mannequins, showing 3 entirely different fashions.

Excitement filled the air as we stepped inside, hoping to find the perfect attire to "suit" (ha!) Our needs.

"Oh, Hey Guys!!!"

Maevris beamed widely and greeted us, as we entered the shop. We could hear Ezri groan behind Us, but We smiled back, and greeted Our new Companion. "Hello Short-Flesh. Are you having fun on your Shopping Day?"
