Chapter two

I sat lazily on the sofa of my apartment I rented.

I just got home from work and as usual I took a taxi to get home

Well my apartment is simple, It's not that big.

Just right and this is the cheapest apartment I've ever stayed in.

Imagine, six thousands pesos for one month?

Almost all the apartments I went to were very expensive.

So let us go back what happened awhile ago

Sir Tim included me in his meeting with Mr. sanderas

Si Mr. Sanderas is old and will try to get in touch with the project they will do.

And while having a discussion, I was not listening to them well, because I can't move on about what happened inside sir Tim's office, and his annoyed face.

I don't even know why he took me with him because I can't even help him

and he didn't made me spoke there.

And when it was lunch break, he made me eat with him in his office!

That was the very first time.

And I still remembered the whole incident while we were eating together.

"So miss Repaldaz do you agree with Mr. Sanderas?"

I said while I look at his face and I blinked several times.

"What do you think about his suggestions?"

"Ah his proposal was good sir."

I said sparingly because I really have no idea what it is. I'm so dead.

"Really? That simple? Any comments?"

Oh my god! Why is he asking me if I agree or not? Don't tell me, it depends on me if he will accept it?

"Nothing sir."

I answered while avoiding his eyes.

"Okay so how was the food?"

I stopped taking a bite when he spoke again.

"Taste good sir, I like it."

I really want to finish my food, so I can go back to my office.

"I'm glad to hear that I'm the one who cooked all of these."

I almost fainted at what he said. My eyes widened.

Seriously did he cooks it all? Why is it so good?

"You okay?"

He looks concerned

I blushed when he handed me water. Oh God!

I don't think I know my boss anymore he acted different.

Why is he like this to me now?

While earlier he was not in the mood and now he is so gentleman?

I cannot believe! I'm not used to it!

"T-thank you." I said shyly as I reached for the water.

There's really something wrong about him!

"Tomorrow is Karen's birthday."

I stopped drinking.

"I want you to be there in my house.."

He look at me seriously while he said that, and I'm confused.

"What sir?"

It didn't sink in my brain.

Why he wanted me to be there?

"Oh I mean she wants you to be there."

So now I am invited on his wife's birthday.

"Is that so? Okay I'll be there sir."

"Good then."

After eating, I decided to go back to my office.

But before I left his office he gave me something.

A paper bag with a dress inside.

"I want you to see with that dress tomorrow."

He said without hesitation.

and I can't believe this!

"Sir why did you do this?"

My eyes widened, I was surprised.

"Because I want to and there's nothing you can do about it. You can leave now."

I just sigh and looked at the paper bag I placed on the small table.

I was really surprised by Sir Tim's actions earlier

I want to feel thrilled for what he's doing, but I know I have no right to feel that

Maybe he just felt sorry for me or maybe he just bored to bought me some dressed.

But why he suddenly invited me a lunch earlier?

What's his reason?

Was he guilty for being annoyed?

Oh god! I'm confused.

Maybe later it really has something.

After I changed my clothes, I lay down on the bed.

I'm really tired and I don't feel like eating.

I'm still totally full because I already had snacks at the office earlier.

I was about to close my eyes when I noticed my cellphone light up.

I sat on the bed when I saw that Sir Tim was calling!

"Sir you called?"

A few minutes passed and he still doesn't speak on the other line, I can only hear his breathing.

"Sir are you still there?"

I frowned

Maybe sir was asleep and he just accidentally pressed it?

I was about to turn off the call when he spoke.

"Shanelle." He pronounced my name softly which surprised me

This is the first time he called me by my name.

"Sir Tim do you need something?"

I tried to calm myself down

because my heart is beating so fast when he called me by my name and I didn't expect that.

"I just wanna talk to you."

I feel weak from what he said

I just heard him like this.

His calm voice

"W-why?"

I can't stop my heart from racing

I think it will going to explode.

"I just miss your voice."

Oh my god!

was it really him?

I looked at the caller again, maybe I made a mistake but it was Sir Tim!

I want to scream in excitement but I remember that he is already married.

"What? Sir I don't understand you ."

What is wrong with you sir?

"I think I'm going crazy."

"Sir what's your problem ?"

Why are you acting like that - my mind speaking

"This is new to me. I know it sounds crazy but I can't help it Shanelle."

What does he mean?

"Sir what is it?"

I'm curious.

"I think.."

He stopped

"What?"

I am restless in my bed

What is it? And why does he always call me Shanelle?

"Sir please enlighten me, I don't know, what do you mean?"

He let out a deep breath

I waited for him for a few minutes before answering again

And what he said made my jaw drop.

"I.. I.. fuck!" He cursed and stopped.

"What sir?"

I waited for his answer.

"I like you Shanelle."
