Replacing the Princess

"I am really sorry, this is the only way out... please accept it" she begged, holding my hand like it is do or die.

It is a do-or-die situation!

Even the situation I am in with her unimaginable request!

How could she even ask me to take her place?! I am not even from this world!

I took a long sigh, trying to calm myself, before talking some sense into Princess Elendra.

I sat down on the floor, taking her trembling hands into mine, and looked into her teary eyes "I know that you don't want to marry him, don't even want to look at him... but this is not the right decision princess! Imagine what happens when he finds the truth. He not only will kill me, but he will destroy the human race in this world! You heard about all the rumors, right?!" I asked as calmly as possible, not freaking out.

"But he never knows how I look! He doesn't even have any interest in me! He... he just wanted me to be a promise to never hurt our kingdom! So you don't have to worry, please," she begged again, standing so strong on the same point, not moving an inch.

"But what will you do if I take your place? You can't stay in the human kingdom because everyone knows you!" I said, trying to make her think about her own decision.

"I am going to go with Dustin. He will take me away from all this! Away from the humans and werewolves, so please do it for me! Please... please help me with this for once! After going there, you can go back to your world with Lilly and no one will know," she begged, holding my hand with her beautiful eyes filled with tears.

I felt so guilty about rejecting her, but just thinking about the consequence made me want to explain that. I opened my mouth but was stopped by Lilly's words.

" Let's help Princess Elendra, Jessica. She did a lot of things for us. We should be with her when it is needed!". She took my other hand in her hold and looked at me with her innocent eyes filled with worry for Princess Elendra.

"You didn't understand my point, Lilly. What if we get caught? Then everything will be done! Alpha King will hunt down every human and just erase our existence!" I said, trying my best to make them understand my point.

"That will never happen! I am so sure that he doesn't even care about us! He just wanted to prove to the world that he won't let his race hurt us! I am just a promise and I even doubt that he will ever visit you! It doesn't matter if it is me or you... it's just that a human should be there. So please don't think about anything and just help me this once. This is my one and only request," she begged again, her voice shivering in fear of getting rejected and spending her life without the man she love, and staying in place without anyone. Her tears were filling up and she is trying her best to hold them back because she never cried and is not planning to do it.

I closed my eyes and pressed my lips tightly, thinking about all the things she had done to me. She saved me more than twice! She gave me a place to stay! Treated me with kindness and never asked me to do anything bad. She always treated me like a friend and it is really hard to reject her even though I know that it is a stupid idea.

I took a long sigh, making up my mind, and opened my lips and whispered "Fine, I will do that" Putting some trust in me, as I thought I can handle this. I was never the center of attention and I am sure that Alpha King will never notice me, and moreover, He has so many women around him, so he won't even think about me.

I will make sure to hide these things under my shoes so everything will be fine.... right?

I am so scared, but I pulled myself together seeing her showing me that beautiful smile again. She took her hand from mine and pulled me into a big hug, and said "Thank you so much, Jessica! Thanks a lot! I am so sure that everything will be okay, so don't worry!".

From that day on, Princess started to teach me and Lilly about the werewolf kingdom.

I learned to behave like a princess, talk like a Princess, and become a perfect Princess, even though I am not of royal blood.

I worked a lot harder. I am not putting myself at more risk than I already am.

On the day of leaving the human kingdom.

"Don't be tensed, everything is going to work out!" Princess Elendra comforts me, patting my back, while Lilly is helping me get dressed.

I am in a beautiful white traditional cloth that was sent by the Werewolf kingdom. I don't even know what it is called, but it took about a day to search for this up in that big library.

We did everything and finally, here I am, dressed like a princess even though I am.

I covered my face as per the tradition of the werewolf kingdom and stood in front of Princess and Lilly, asking "What if his highness the king sees me?".

I asked the most important question at the end, realizing this is a stupid idea again.

"We look the same high, our body is also in the same shape, and thanks to Alpha King you are supposed to cover your face until King and Queen see it! so no one can tell this is you! Everyone will think it is me!" She said, holding my hand and making me rest assured about everything.

"What if they talk to me?! We don't sound the same!" I blurred out my doubt, I know everything she told me but the voice.

"I know, so I told His Highness that Princess caught a cold and she is taking her medicine and won't be able to talk," Lilly said with a smile, thinking about her brilliant idea.

I took a sigh and shook my head with a smile, seeing her happy to help.

"Take care, now, you should go," Princess Elendra said with a smile and walks back to the mirror to hide.

I saw her for a second and gave her a smile, as I covered my face and turned to the door. I saw 2 bulky mans walking toward the door.

Thier face didn't give a reaction as they looked at me and Lilly, saying "We are from the werewolf kingdom, come with us". I was scared but I pulled myself together and put on confidence in my structure just like Princess thought me and started to walk, while Lilly followed from behind.

My inner body shivered in fear but I pulled myself together and stepped out of the room with them leading the way.

I walked down and hugged each one of them from the royal family and thank goodness, No one recognised me.

I got in the carriage with Lilly without opening my mouth and sat down like a Princess.

The carriage started to move along with the other 5 carriages sent from the werewolf kingdom. I took a sigh and relaxed a little, thinking it takes a few days to reach the werewolf kingdom.

But the carriage stopped within a few hours, I was shocked as I tried to open the door but was stopped, seeing a woman getting inside the carriage given to me and Lilly.

My heart shivered in fear, but I pulled myself together and was about to ask her a few questions, she raised her hand to stop me from asking and started to explain "I from the palace, Her Highness the Queen's maid. She sent me here to explain that the werewolf kingdom has taken measures in stopping the werewolf from hunting humans. The werewolf kingdom is on the other side of the world and it takes a year to travel to the human world but werewolves cross the border within few few hours because of this door. This is done by one of our Ancaster who was searching for his lover on the human side and now, this door is getting closed and can only be opened with Alpha King's order so you should know your place and behave well".

my eyes grow wide in shock, as I turned to Lilly, she is staring at me and that woman with the same eyes, and asked "So.... if our princess do a mistake then Alpha King will open this door and let werewolves hunt humans again?".

Her whole body is shivering, just thinking about that incident.

"I can't talk about it. It only depends on Alpha King, if you have any doubts then you should ask them. I did the work that was given to me" She said, getting down from the carriage

But I stopped her, asking "So this peace treaty is not permanent and it all depends on the behavior of me and the human kingdom?".
