Jessica's P O V 

I turned from those maids who kept staring at me angrily and started walking in.

I saw Lilly running towards me with her face filled with worry, asking, "Are you okay? Do you wanna rest? Are you hurt somewhere?". 

"I am good," I said with a smile, walking in, ignoring all those angry stares on my back. 

But Lily saw that and got worried, as she asked, "What happened? What were you talking with them? They look so angry,". 

"They thought I was easy to bully, and I just put them in their place," I replied, as we both walked inside our palace. 

Garen walked up, greeting me "Good morning, Master". 

"I am not yet your Master, Geren," I replied, sitting down on the chair. 

"What?!" He asked in confusion, and continued "You just spent your night with His Highness, Alpha King". 

"That's right!" Lily asked, staring at me with her eyes filled with worry. 

I took a sigh and shook my head, saying, "His Highness didn't come to meet me yesterday, so we didn't consume our night. I am not yet his official concubine. The Queen told me that she would talk with His Highness, and then inform me of the time". 

"Oh," both of them replied at the same time, making me smile. 

They are so cute together. 

Then I turned to Geren with an apologetic smile and "I am sorry. I have offended those maids and I think they will make it harder for you to get food from the kitchen,". 

"Don't worry, Master. I can fight and get the food. They can't do anything when it comes to guests and you are the guest now!" Garen replied with a smile, trying to encourage me that nothing would happen. 

"You don't have to fight. Just bring some uncooked vegetables. We can cook here on our own," I said with a smile, turning to Lily, who nodded her head. She is a superb cook and I love to eat her cooked food.

"I will," Garen said with a smile and turned around to walk out, triggering my confusion as I asked, "Where are you going now, Garen?". 

"I am going to get all the things to cook here," He said with a huge smile, turning to me. Lily turned to him now in shock and asked, "Do you know what are the things we need for cooking?". 

"Oh... No," he giggled, making me smile. He is so nice and good. I like this a lot. 

"Idiot!" Lily scolds him, taking a step closer to Garen. 

"I am not!" He replied firmly, taking another step closer. They look good together and are so comfortable in each other's presence. Not like how I heard yesterday from Lily. 

"You guys look so close," I said with an adoring smile, staring at the duo. 

"We are not!" Both of them said at the same time, making me smile wider. So fucking cute. 

"Fine... Fine... Now you guys don't just stare at each other. Just go and bring the things that are needed to cook for our lunch and I am sure I won't get my breakfast in this situation," I said, still staring at their cute, angry faces. 

"Do I really have to go with her, Master?" Garen asked like I made him do something horrible. He looks so angry, yet funny. 

"Yes, she is a great cook and knows all the things that we need for our lunch, while you don't know," I said with a smile, looking at both of them. Lily has a proud face, while Garen is looking at me with his big eyes. 

"Go before they do something," I said, making him come out of the daze. Then he nodded his head, saying "As you say, Master". 

Then he turned to Lily and said, "I am only doing this for Master! So you should follow me and never cause any trouble! People here love to bully weaker workers, so just! Don't! Open! Your! Mouth!". 

She wanted to defend herself but stopped herself, as she knew Garen knew more than us. 

Both of them left while fighting with their eyes. I giggled at that. 

And suddenly, everything went silent like there was nothing. I sat there, doing nothing as there was nothing to do. Lily is someone who loves to keep everything perfect, and the palace is super clean. I got up and walked outside to do some work in the garden like I used to do in the human kingdom, but after seeing the empty ground; I remembered this palace used to be an abandoned palace just 2 days ago. 

I should ask Garen to get some plants or seeds so I can grow my flowers here. My lips widened with a smile as the image of this empty ground filled with flowers made me so happy. 

I turned around to walk back to my room, but then I remembered about the green ground behind this palace. It was so beautiful and the river seemed so calm and nice. 

I closed the door and walked out of the palace and towards the green ground behind the palace. It was not far and was just behind the palace. This place is huge and I don't know why they don't do something here. 

It is a good place for a walking garden and they can place so many fountains, birds, flowers, etc. These people just don't have any taste. 

The cool breeze hit me as I walked closer to the river. It feels so good and nice that I wanna stay here for the whole but I can't. 

I sat down on the side of the river, dipping my legs in the water, not caring about any monsters in it. 

I feel so relaxed and now, I just wanna let everything in my mind out. 

"Wow," my eyes widened as I heard the echo. 

It's so good! I stared into the other side of the river, and there was nothing but a bunch of trees. It looked like a forest, so I was sure no one would hear my voice, right? 

I don't know but suddenly, I just wanna curse Alpha King for my situation. If only he didn't ask Princess to marry him, then I wouldn't be here, suffering in an unknown place. 

"I hate Alpha King! He is the worst person in the whole world!" I shouted with a huge smile on my face and it echoed back. 

Wow, that feels so good. 

That's when I remembered those maids saying that I was not as pretty as his other concubines and he didn't like that, so I was not sleeping with him. 

"That Alpha king is so ugly! I have never seen someone as ugly as him! He is the ugliest, useless, and worst person in the entire world!" I shouted again, and it felt so good. He is not ugly, or should I say, he is so handsome that I have never seen someone as good-looking as him, but I didn't like what they told me, so I did this. 

"Alpha King is so cruel that he doesn't deserve to be....." before I could finish, I felt a cold steel pressing at the back of my neck. A chill ran down to my tip, freezing my entire body. 

I slowly turned around to see a man wearing a uniform covering his face with a Mask as his piercing eyes stared back at me. 

He looks like a soldier and I know that I fucked up even before becoming a concubine.
