Not Her Favorite
"I love you, Damien. I love you with all of my heart, my soul, my everything," Safira confessed with tears in her eyes, "I will never love another. This goes beyond the mate bond!"
Safira was ready to plunge the silver dagger through her heart but Damien stopped the blade with his own two hands. With all the strength he had left, he ripped the dagger out of her hands and threw it far into the distance.
Damien hugged Safira tightly. Blood dripped from the fresh wounds on his palms. It stung badly but he ignored the pain.
"I love you the same way too." He whispered in her ear.
His love for her was for her and her alone.
He didn't need to prove to anyone that his love for her also went beyond the mate bond they shared.
"Lies! All lies! Hahahahaha!" Markus roared in laughter.
Tuson sighed at the sight of it all. He leaped out of Selene's arms and took a humanoid form. He looked back at Selene with a slightly annoyed expression.
