[Flashback continues]

Pete is my mate and he is seated right at my side. Barry is also my mate and he's gonna be sitting near me.

I forced my eyes to stay focused at the front of the class all because I was trying to ignore Barry. I was afraid I would make another eye contact with him if my head takes a turn.

To make matters worse, the air in the classroom keeps blowing his scent over to my seat, and Pete's scent remained hung in the air around me. I was literally having the mixture of a cinnamon scent and a strawberry scent, mercilessly hitting my nose.

"Pixie" I heard Pete's soft voice whispering my name. I made a rotation of my head to the side to pay attention to him but in the process, my eyes subconsciously trailed towards Barry who was silently sitting at the corner.

I swear, I didn't intend to look at him because I know that will not end well, but since I have him on my mind, it might be impossible not to have my eyes on him.
