Chapter XII

Victor's pov

Her eyes turned into a hue of blackness enveloping her usuall blue ones she's had when Nova was out and her whole fur turned pure white. The black was not usual for any wolf I've ever heard or read of, so I pinned her to the ground for her safety. She threw me over like I was weightless and lounged for the rogues that were still fighting with our people.

She ripped left and right at them until there was none left for her to destroy. I joined her, worried that she might get injured in her frenzy. My heart was aching for her, I could feel through our mate bond that she's suffering for the loss of her brother and the fact that all I could do was lick her wounds was paining me greatly.

Luca's wolf came closer to me holding his head down and all his brown fur covered in blood "Alpha we will go roam the perimeters for any more rogues. Some other packs have left already so I will go join them if you agree to it." I nodded and he went on his was limping.

Most of the wolves changed back to human and were checking the casualties. Some of them were dragging the dead rogues to one side, to the other side the ones that still had some breath in them but I knew it's not for long.

Turning to hand the backpack to Carolina she was already in her human form unconscious on the ground. I panicked and howled shifting without caring that I am butt naked in front of everyone. As I lift her from the ground her brother Carmello aproached us with a dishevelled hair and bloody body.

" Move over." I told him in alpha tone and growl at him gripping Carolina's body tighter to my chest. " No one is taking her away from me." Carmello looked at me with wide eyes and ran to his brother's body.

I couldn't feel Carolina's wolf, her skin was unnaturallly cold and white, her hair has turned into a silver color from her dark brown one.

"Don't leave me baby." I whispered to her and rushed to find a pack doctor.

Carolina's pov

A hand carressing my face woked me up from sleep.

" Five more minutes mother." A chuckle made me open my eyes. I was not home and the person in front of me was not my mother. Sitting on the grass next to me was a brown skinned woman who had the most beautifull blue eyes I've ever seen. Her curly white hair was all around us on the grass and I was sleeping on it. It was so soft it felt like silk under my fingers , I jumped startled not wanting to cause any pain to the beautiful woman. " Where am I? Who are you? "

"Carolina, my child, I'm the Moon Goddess but I guess you can call me mother ." a chuckle made her face sparkle like a million stars. " You are home now, where everything get's life." She said smilling softly at me and pointing towards a small group of pups.

"Here is where all of the little wolfs take life and get ready to be brought into your realm."

I looked around and everything brought me a sense of belonging, the small barks and the ruffling of the small pups made me smile and relax back into the soft grass.

" Can you see how they mostly interract in groups of twos? " I nodded my head focusing now on a pair that was sleeping in the same position like me and Victor. I remember now, I found my mate, Juan is gone and most probably I'm dead.

" Am I dead?" I asked the moon goddess interrupting her from talking.

"No my child, you are not, but I called you here because it's time you learn who you are and make a decision for your future." she said now frowning. Her smile dissapeared and a storm was happening in my stomach.

"I don't like the sound of that."

" Child, you carry another wolf besides Nova in you. " she said touching my hand slowly and placing it on her chest. Images on a white wolf with black eyes appeared in my mind, memories that didn't belong to me were clouding my vision like a cloak and I frowned confused. " That's the essence of all the resentments you' ve had along your reincarnations, you feel the pain and see the lives you' ve lived. I' ve been cursed, thousands of years ago by The Queen of Witches , for my daughter to never find her mate. "

" How is this related to me? " I said scratching my head in confusion.

" You see my child, Nova is the first pup I have ever created and so the curse will follow her. There is only one way to break the curse and that' s to save your mate from dieing." Goose bumps overcame me and I shivered at the thought. " You killed yourself too many times to count and I cannot bear to see you suffering over and over again. I break my vow and interfere this time by telling you all this otherwise you would have never remembered what happened in the past and probably making the same choices."

" Tell me child, are you ready to face the ordeals that are coming your way hoping that this time you will be free and get your happy ending? Are you ready to go for another gamble?"

She was now holding both of my hands close to her chest and her tears were falling on them. I didn' t move from my spot as all the informations baffled me. I have another wolf in me?
