Chapter X

Carolina's pov

The day after the ball it was full of castle tours and exhibitions, good food and pleasant weather. It was close to sunset before I decided to go back into the forest and leave Nova free.

Lounging into the forest in one swift moment I landed onto the nature's heart feeling her underneath my paws. I've let Nova in full control of our body and she started running towards the secret place we' ve found when we first arrived in Alcàzar.

A rustling in the bushes nearby made my ears tune towards it. A small rabbit jumped out and I started running after it enjoying the freedom. Another rustling came from the edge of the clearing and this time the smell of summer rain and freshly cut grass enveloped me. Nova knew our mate was close so she ignored the rabbit and bowed down on the front paws ready to launch.

A big black wolf came into the clearing, not breaking eye contact with us. The thudding of his thick paws was making my heart beat go faster in anticipation. Not even a speck of other color was ruining his all black fur, he looked like a starless night and his golden eyes where the only orbs embracing it. He looked misterious, powerfull and oh- lord- don't- allow- me- to- go- in- there.

He sniffed the air around him knowing full well that my scent covered the whole area. "So he likes it." Nova said while wagging her tail in a playfull way. Barking his way she jumped ready to tackle him and he gave in to her playfullness. We were paw touching eachother in our fight for domination and tingles were running all around my body even through this thick fur, I was endulging in it.

After a while he nuzzled me into the edge of a lake full of white lotus and allow me to sit placing his head on top of mine. This was so foreign to me. I was bathing in this feelings of protection, equality and adoration.

I sigh at the thought of that making Victor's wolf  lift his head and lick my fur, slowly purring. Nova was purring also in thanks to his gentleness and we stayed like that for hours.

I almost fell asleep when suddently he jumped and pushed me with his nose towards a nearby cave. I was congused when I heard Carmillo through the mind-link.

"Carolina where are you? " he said in his alpha tone making me whine slowly .

" Just in the forest nearby. What happened? " I felt panic surge through me.

" Are you alone there?"

"No, that's not important , tell me what's going on?"

" Who are you with Carolina, stop being childish." he growled at me in the other end. He never growls at me.

"With Victor. "

"Stay there." and he closed the mind- link. What the hell is going on?

Victor came back into the cave with a backpack throwing it towards me. He bowed his head telling me to take it. I realised I have to shift and take the clothes in his backpack and God they had his smell, a black thigh long hoodie and a pair of basketball shorts that reached the middle of my leg muscle. I looked hilarious.

He went to change also and came into a similar outfit as mine except the hoodie, he was naked in his upper body and I felt my knees go weak again at the sight of that. I was used to seeing bare chests as I lived with five brothers and trained everyday for the last 13 years of my life but this was something else, this looked like Moon Goddess herself sculpted his chest and toned his muscles. I felt my cheeks get red and tried to cover my face with my hair but stupid I have it in a high ponytail.

" You are to not leave this place until I come back for you. " Victor said making my eyes go wide.

" What are you talking about? What is going on Victor?" a purring noise came from him, making his sky blue eyes flicker with something else other than dominance.

" The palace is under attack so you will not leave this place and don't make me tie you up." I gulped thinking I actually wouldn't mind that. Stupid Nova, her horny ass doesn't let me focus.

" I dare you. " I say without thinking and in a blink of an eye he was on my back and grabbed my arms immobilizing me. " What are you doing? " he growled and placed his face roughly into the crook of my neck inhaling my scent.

" Stay here. " he whispered now into a seductive voice making my insides a puddle of mush and pecked my neck with his lips gently sending new feelings down my core.
