Chapter 25: Who are we looking for?

The three of them took another route towards the location of the chestnuts. Along the way, they encountered a pheasant. Xiao'er decisively struck its head with a stone, leaving the unfortunate bird grandiosely knocked out.

Jingrui was also shocked. How come Xiao'er seemed to be getting even more resourceful since waking up from her injury? But no matter how capable she became, she was still his little sister.

Not far away, an old man and two young boys, shocked at the sight before them, had no intention of coming forward and took another route down the mountain instead.

Xiao'er glanced over and recognized the old man as Doctor Luo. The two young boys, dressed in embroidered robes, were clearly not from the village. Realising they probably had their reasons for avoiding her, she decided to ignore them.
