"Why won't you listen? I warned you to stay out of this."

Fang Xuan's voice was a low, his eyes narrowing as he confronted her.

The way he looked right now terrified her. 

Even though she had strong feelings for him, she couldn't stop herself from trembling. 

She had always admired him for his kindness and pure heart, for the person he used to be.

But now, standing before him, she began to wonder if he was still that same person.

All she could see was someone consumed by hatred, someone who no longer cared about anything but revenge.

The gentle side of him had vanished, replaced by something much darker.

But she refused to give up on him. In the past, she had stepped back, only to be consumed by regret. 

"Fang Xuan,…" she pleaded. "I heard everything. I know what they did to Aunt Liu Ming is unforgivable, but you don't have to be this brutal. If you keep heading in this path, there'll be no turning back."
