Honeymoon(Part 5)

As the crew set the table for lunch, I couldn't help but marvel at the spread before us. Freshly caught seafood, vibrant salads, and an array of tropical fruits adorned the table, a feast fit for royalty. I felt my stomach rumble in anticipation, eager to sample the culinary delights laid out before us.

With a grateful nod to the crew, Jasper and I took our seats at the table, exchanging excited glances as we prepared to indulge in the sumptuous meal before us. As we raised our glasses in a toast to our unforgettable honeymoon, I couldn't shake the feeling of contentment that washed over me, grateful for this moment of bliss in paradise.

"So, how are you two enjoying married life so far?" Mrs. Azure inquired with a warm smile.

Jasper and I exchanged a glance, both of us speaking at the same time, "We're loving it!"

A chorus of laughter filled the air, everyone amused by our synchronized response, except for Ms. Azure, who simply watched us with a raised eyebrow.

"So, who likes who more?" Mrs. Azure teased, leaning in with a mischievous grin.

Jasper and I exchanged playful looks, a silent challenge passing between us. "I think we both know the answer to that," Jasper quipped, a smirk playing on his lips.

"Oh, come on, Jasper, don't be modest," I countered, feigning offense. "We all know you're head over heels for me."

Jasper chuckled, his eyes sparkling with affection. "Guilty as charged," he admitted, reaching over to squeeze my hand.

"So, Jasper, how's the transition been from chasing criminals to chasing profits?" Mr. Azure asked with a chuckle.

Jasper leaned back in his chair, his expression thoughtful. "It's definitely been different, that's for sure. I did stock trading and investments before but this is just next level. But I have to say, the best part has been the insane pay raise," he admitted, a grin spreading across his face.

Mrs. Azure raised an eyebrow in amusement. "Oh, is that so? Living the high life now, are we?"

Jasper laughed, nodding. "Something like that. But it's not just about the money. It's about the opportunities and the challenges. Every day is different, and I'm constantly learning and growing."

I nodded in agreement, adding, "It's been amazing to see Jasper thrive in this new environment. He's always been so dedicated and hardworking, and it's paying off in a bigger way now."

Mr. Azure nodded approvingly. "Well, we certainly can't argue with success. And it's clear that you two make a great team."

Jasper reached for my hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Absolutely. I couldn't ask for a better partner in crime," he said with a wink, eliciting a round of laughter from everyone at the table.

As the wine flowed freely, Ms. Azure's behavior took a sharp turn. What had started as polite banter soon morphed into something altogether more brazen and inappropriate. With each passing moment, her flirtatious remarks grew bolder, her gaze lingering on Jasper with unsettling intensity.

"Tell me, Jasper," Ms. Azure purred, her voice dripping with innuendo, "what's it like being married to such a powerful and rich man like Alex?"

Jasper chuckled nervously, shooting me a sidelong glance before responding, "It's pretty amazing, actually. Alex keeps me on my toes, that's for sure."

But Ms. Azure was undeterred, her advances growing more shameless by the second. Leaning in closer, she continued her relentless pursuit, her words laced with suggestive undertones.

"I bet he does," she murmured, her eyes locking with Jasper's. "But you know, Jasper, I could show you a thing or two that Alex never could."

Jasper's smile dropped, his discomfort palpable as he struggled to maintain his composure. "I don't appreciate the offer, Ms. Azure," he replied diplomatically, "I'm quite happy with my husband."

But Ms. Azure was undeterred, her eyes alight with mischief as she leaned in closer, her breath warm against Jasper's ear. "Oh, Jasper," she whispered, her voice low and sultry, "you're far too handsome and charming to be tied down to just one person. Why limit yourself when there's so much more to explore?"

Jasper's cheeks flushed slightly, his gaze darting nervously to me before returning to Ms. Azure. "Please stop it, Ms. Azure," he said, his tone tinged with unease, "I'm committed to my marriage."

Her hand reaching out to brush against Jasper's arm with a feather-light touch. "Such a shame," she sighed wistfully, her eyes smoldering with barely-contained desire, "a man like you deserves to experience all the pleasures life has to offer."

With each passing moment, my irritation grew, a knot of unease tightening in the pit of my stomach. I fought to hide my emotions beneath a veneer of polite indifference, but inside, I was seething.

In a moment of sheer frustration, I gripped my wine glass with too much force, the delicate glass imploding between my fingers. Crimson droplets stained the pristine tablecloth as the glass shattered, drawing startled gasps from our hosts.

As Jasper rushed to tend to my hand, his concerned gaze met mine, a silent reassurance passing between us. In that moment, I knew that no matter how bold Ms. Azure's advances, Jasper's loyalty to me would never waver.

Ms. Azure's response was a playful pout, her eyes dancing with mischief. "Oh, come now, Alex. A little harmless flirtation never hurt anyone."

As the evening wore on, it became increasingly apparent that Ms. Azure's behavior was making everyone at the table uncomfortable, including her own parents, who exchanged worried glances with each passing remark.

Finally, Mr. Azure decided it was time to intervene, discreetly signaling for one of the yacht's staff to escort his daughter away from the table.

"Daddy, I'm just having a little fun," protested Ms. Azure, her tone petulant.

But Mr. Azure was resolute. "It's inappropriate, darling. Now, please, go freshen up."

With a reluctant sigh, Ms. Azure relented, casting one last flirtatious glance in Jasper's direction before allowing herself to be led away.

Once Ms. Azure had been discreetly escorted away, Mr. and Mrs. Azure turned their attention back to Jasper and me, their expressions apologetic and contrite.

"Alex, Jasper, we are so sorry for our daughter's behavior," Mrs. Azure began, her voice tinged with embarrassment. "We raised her better than this."

Jasper and I exchanged a glance, silently acknowledging their apology.

"It's quite all right," Jasper reassured them with a gracious smile. "We understand that these things happen once the wine starts flowing."

Mr. Azure nodded in gratitude. "Still, we hope it didn't detract too much from your enjoyment of the evening."

I offered them a reassuring smile. "Not at all. We're simply grateful for your hospitality and the opportunity to spend time with you two. You guys have been lovely."

Mrs. Azure reached out to pat my hand. "You're both such gracious guests. We truly appreciate your understanding."

Raising our glasses once more, we toasted to a lovely evening, savoring the moment of relaxation amidst the luxurious setting of the yacht. The clink of our glasses echoed softly against the backdrop of the gentle waves, a symbol of shared appreciation for the beauty of the moment and the company we found ourselves in.

On our way off the boat, i rationalized that I can regain a bit more control of the deal I made. Besides, if it ultimately benefits both Jasper and me, why not take advantage of it? This could be a chance to strengthen our position and secure future opportunities that could positively impact our lives.

"Hey, Jasper, can I talk to you about something?" I asked, trying to keep my tone casual.

"Sure, what's up?" he replied, turning his attention to me.

"Well, I know we were just there for a social gathering, but I couldn't help but notice the interest Ms. Azure seemed to show towards you," I explained, trying to gauge his reaction.

"Really? I didn't notice anything unusual," Jasper replied, sounding sarcastic. "Wasn't she just drunk?"

"Trust me, real interest was there. You're irresistible. And I think we can use that to our advantage," I continued, feeling a sense of excitement building.

Jasper seemed intrigued but cautious. "How so?" he asked, clearly interested in hearing more.

That's when I laid out my plan, explaining how we could potentially leverage Ms. Azure's interest in Jasper to gain a favor from her father."Hmm, that's an interesting idea. But is it worth the risk?" Jasper questioned, his brow furrowing slightly.

I felt a surge of determination. "I think so. Imagine what we could gain when I play my cards right," I replied, already envisioning the possibilities.

With Jasper's curiosity piqued, I knew we were on the brink of something significant. "You just can't get out of work mode can you?"

"I understand your concerns about the risk involved," I acknowledged, addressing Jasper's hesitation. "But think about the potential rewards. With Mr. Azure on our side, we could open doors that were previously closed to us. It's an opportunity we can't afford to overlook."

Jasper listened intently, weighing the pros and cons of the plan. After a moment of contemplation, he nodded thoughtfully.

"It's a bold move, but you're sexy when you're scheming," he finally said, a hint of excitement in his voice. "Let's give it a try and see where it takes us. Then no more work."

With Jasper's agreement, we solidified our strategy, ready to embark on this new endeavor together. As we discussed the details and potential outcomes, I couldn't help but feel a surge of anticipation.

My biggest asset, Jasper.
