The True Duel

"You okay? You look like you've seen a ghost." He asked "Actually, everyone looks like they've seen a ghost…" he muttered, looking to the crowd staring at him, all with pale face's except Cardin who was scowling and Tiger, whose eyes were glittering even more than when she had met him.

"We thought you were dead!" Yang shouted out "I mean! Just look at your head!"

"And how am I supposed to do that?" Arthur retorted, as he tried to turn his head to look at Yang, finding he was unable to turn his head anymore, trying to turn his head in the other direction Arthur found his head move much farther than simply just turning to the side. Widening his eyes in realization halfway through Arthur looked down, finding that he wasn't staring at his legs but instead at his back, "Oh…" he muttered, quickly straightening his head out "That explains it"

"How did you not notice that!?" Yang screamed

"I sort of blacked out for a moment, so I have no Idea what happened until just now. Also, Blake…" he said turning to her seeing, tears on the verge of breaking out of her eyes as she muttered "I'm sorry! I am so sorry!"

"Sorry for what? Spinning my head right round?" he questioned getting a quick nod from her "Well don't be, it was a good hit, my cheek is still stinging." He replied with a grin waving off her worries before standing up and beginning to stretch his body, finding that he was more flexible than he had ever been before "Oh… that is a weird feeling…" he muttered as he bent backwards with remarkable ease.

"It's not okay! I could have killed you!" Blake shouted "I could have killed my frie-!" just as she was about to finish her sentence, her eyes opened wide as she quickly raised Gambol Shroud in front of her, blocking a sudden kick from Arthur, causing her to slide back a few feet.

"Get over it" he said rushing towards Blake, sending another kick her way which she dodged by rolling backwards and throwing herself up into the air, landing on the ground "I'm alive, I'm fine" Arthur added as he connected the two blades of Silver light together transforming it into its short spear form pointing it at Blake, his hand on the trigger on the handle right below the blade, firing off a shot from it causing his arm to shoot up from the recoil and sending him staggering back wards as he placed his hand over his shoulder, 'Right, .50 Calibre, aka, big ass recoil… ow' he thought rolling his shoulder.

Just Arthur fired the shot from SilverLight, Ruby rushed out and used her scythe to block the powerful shot, causing her feet to dig into the ground as she skidded backwards, lowering her scythe she said "Arthur! She was just worried!" she shouted to him.

"I know, but as you can see, I am fine" he said pointing to himself. "Then why are you attacking her!" she screamed, causing Arthur to stagger and nearly trip as he stared incredulously at Ruby.

"Ruby" Weiss said, getting Ruby to turn to her "We're in the middle of a duel, it seems he wishes to continue it" she said walking forward a few feet, arriving to the side of Ruby, Myrtenaster posed for an attack.

Yang came up on the other side of Ruby, cocking Ember Celica before getting into a boxing pose, "I say we give him a fight" she said with a wide grin.

"But!" Ruby was about to say but was stopped when Yang turned to her and said "Sis, just fight him, he's not going to ha-!?" Yang was about to finish but was stopped as her body was sent flying backwards as something powerful impacted with the side of her head, flipping through the air, Yang eventually came to a stop, kneeled on the ground with one of left hand also on the ground to stabilize herself, her other hand going up to the side of her head but froze as Yang saw a golden strand of her hair slowly falling to the ground, charred on one end.

Seeing this Arthur also froze as he realized his severe mistake "Shit…" he muttered as a bright golden light burst from Yang, her semblance activating to it's fullest extent turning her eyes red, both crimson orbs pointing directly at Arthur if rage "Oh, you fucked up!" she roared as she charged towards him.

"I know!" Arthur squeaked, fully regretting his decision, "Why did I have to go for the head!?" he screamed quickly dodging to the side as a blazing fist burst through the location his head had just been at, Yang quickly tilted her body, spinning around to slug Arthur, using the momentum she had accrued from her charge.

Arthur quickly pointed Silverlight at Yang's back as she was spinning around and sent another bullet into her back, but also slightly jumping into the air at the same time, sending himself backwards and into the air from the recoil of the dust fuelled projectile.

Yang staggered forward, stopping herself before she could fall as she quickly turned around and charged towards Arthur who was trying to figure out how to stabilize himself mid-flight, his face blanching as he felt something wrap around his ankle and stopping him mid-flight, looking down he saw the crimson eyes of Yang, her hand clenched around his ankle as she quickly dragged Arthur through the air and over her head before slamming him down onto the ground with enough force to fracture it and send debris flying through the air.

Once Yang had gotten her rage out of her system she began to pant slightly, staring down into the crater that Arthur was embedded in. Lifting her head she looked up to the large screen above the Arena and saw that Arthur's Aura had only gone down to half at this point.

Just as she was about to look back down to the crater she felt another powerful impact, this time against her stomach sending her flying into the air as another round from Sliverlight hit her. After firing off the shot Arthur broke the rest of his body from his earthy confines and quickly retreated a bit, but paused as he realized that he couldn't see the other members of RWBY, slowly turning his head around he saw that he was now square in the centre of the Arena with Ruby, Weiss and Blake on one side, while Yang was on the other, having stopped herself mid-flight by firing Ember Celica behind her to nullify her backwards momentum while also sending her forwards enough to keep her in the arena.

"Oh, this just isn't fair…" he muttered as he watched Weiss and Blake share a glance before giving each other a nod as they walked to surround Arthur on all four sides, Ruby simply looked between the two, still unsure about what to do. Letting out a heavy sigh Arthur called out to Ruby "Ruby!" with a strained tone, successfully getting her attention as she turned to him but was met with a bright fireball quickly approaching her which she dodged using her semblance to sidestep it.

"I'm not a child Ruby, fight me seriously, as Goodwitch said, this is a mock tournament, treat it like real one" he said, giving her a wide grin. Ruby stopped for a moment as her mind calmed down enough that she tightened her grip on Crescent Rose as a smile formed on her face.

"This is going to hurt…" he muttered his head darting between the four cardinal directions swapping between Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang, waiting for one of them to make a move. As he waited he removed the now empty magazine from Silverlight and swapped it with one of the extras he had brought with him.

After nearly five minutes tense stillness within the Arena was broken as Ruby shouted "Freezerburn!", her words causing both Weiss and Yang to burst into motion with Yang firing Ember Celica towards the ground sending her flying upwards and towards Weiss who had stabbed Myrtenaster into the ground creating a large circular ice field around her which she quickly escaped from.

"Oh no you don't!" Arthur shouted, quickly pointing Silverlight at Yang as she began falling to the centre of the ice field, and just as he was about to pull the trigger and fire at her, he was interrupted as he saw in the corner of his eyes a blur of red approaching him, Arthur quickly turned the point of Silverlight towards the petal laden Ruby and fired a round at her which was quickly avoided as Ruby simply ducked under it, screaming "Ladybug!", Crescent Rose pointed behind her as she fired off a shot sending her flying forward even faster. At the same time an explosion was heard as Yang impacted the ice field, firing Ember Celica into it causing a fog to fill the arena.

"Crap!" Arthur shouted as he pointed Silverlight to the ground, jumping into the air and firing another shot sending him spiralling through the air, this time with more control than previously, just in time as both Ruby and Blake passed by where he had previously been their weapons perpendicular to the ground as they tried to slash where he had been using their speed.

Both Ruby and Blake were initially surprised that Arthur had dodged them as both began to search the fog for him, Ruby having trouble due to fog that acted as a double edged sword blocking her along with her enemies vision. Blake on the other hand quickly locked on to Arthur who had been able to stabilize himself in the air this time, her eyes piercing through the fog with ease.

Blake transformed Gambol Shroud to its kusarigama form and threw it towards Arthur, all the while also running towards him. Arthur heard the sound of Blake's weapon spinning through the air, as he looked down into the fog he could see the dark silhouette of Blake staring at him with yellow eyes through the fog, another smaller shadow quickly approaching him, which he quickly defended against by swinging Silverlight downwards deflecting it towards the ground.

Once Arthur had reached the apex of his flight and was beginning to fall downwards he saw two more figures in his peripheral vision through the thinning fog, a golden yellow, turned pale by the white fog as well as a bright red. Both flying through the air towards him, the red figure of Ruby being the closer one.

'Well, guess this is where it ends…' he thought, knowing full well that even if he did use Silverlight to change his momentum that they could easily follow him using their own weapons, not to mention the other two members of their team.

But, deciding to try something else, Arthur pointed his spear upwards, and just as Ruby was about to attack with Crescent Rose, he fired, sending his body hurtling to the ground, conveniently towards Blake as he used the momentum from the fired round to spin his body around once before moving his grip to the lower part of the handle before clenching his hand around it and slashing down onto Blake who quickly grabbed her sheath from her back with her other hand and crossed it over her katana, catching Arthurs attack but sending her to one knee from the attack.

Just as Arthur was about to break off from Blake's hold he felt numerous sharp jabs into his back, the first being particularly strong and sending him stumbling forward and giving Blake enough leeway to remove herself from his path and arrive at the side of Weiss who had just assaulted Arthur with numerous jabs from her rapier. Ruby and Yang soon arriving next to them just moments later, each sharing a glance before nodding and each getting into their own stances ready for their next attack.

Which would not come as just moment after they had gotten into the stance Glynda announced "Arthur Fielder! Aura in the red! Stop fighting!" just as the fog began to finally dissipate, revealing team RWBY together in their stances and Arthur kneeled on the ground, Silverlight pointed at them, being rested on his arm as a makeshift stand.
