Paradise

When Axel mentioned surprise to her, of all the things she expected, which was really nothing at all, this exceeded her expectations.

What lay before her was a large, landlocked stretch of water. The setting sun and the awe-worthy splash of colours in the sky reflected in the water and with every ripple, the colours seemed to have grown a life of its own as they danced to the rhythm of the quiet wind.

The lake was surrounded by trees to make it look. like the water was being enclosed and protected by the trees which stood like guards around it. Under her feet were soft grasses that spread over the mass of earth and like it was calculated, after every two metres covered by grass, stood a beautiful flower. Flowers of different kinds and colours were rooted to the ground and swayed gently in whatever direction the wind wanted.

It seemed like the goddess of nature had personally descended to sprinkle some of her essence on this mass of land.
