Interview 2

Axel had just completed the meeting with the board members and had given solutions for the so-called urgent matter that was brought to him by the board of directors.

"Camden, please make sure that you check these matters before they are brought to me, understand?" Axel instructed.

"Yes sir, I will do that". Camden who was walking behind him replied. "I am going straight to the airport from here, clear my schedule for the next 2-3 days and handle everything in my absence, only urgent matters that need my attention should be brought to me, and you know how to do that. I believe you won't have any problem in my absence".

"Yes sir, I will do as you have said. And you won't have to worry about anything". Camden said.

Hannah watched as everyone left and she started moving about. she walked through the large white corridors till she got to the elevator. she went up to the 120th floor where the CEO's office was. She moved about sneakily, turning to her back and sides occasionally. she looked through the glass barriers, trying to locate the office of the CEO and didn't notice when someone was coming towards her

Axel and Camden were heading towards the CEO's private elevator and Axel was too busy dishing out instructions to notice the person walking towards him. They bumped into each other and both of them fell to the ground. Camden Quickly helped Axel up and dusted the non-existent dust off his suit. Axel was enraged and He glared at the girl who was still on the floor. "Who are you?" Axel's cold voice rang in the corridor and her ear. Anyone standing next to him at that moment would have stood frozen or would have jolted in fear. Even his assistant, Camden was not spared from it.

Hannah hissed in frustration. "How rude, he didn't even say sorry". She raised her head and looked at him. she knew this face, he looks familiar.

Ah..... he was the CEO she was supposed to kill. she had seen his picture on her ' target's profile' list.

she was staring at his face to make sure that he was her target but she got lost in the beauty of his face. She knew he was handsome when she saw his picture, but seeing him in reality... she doesn't know what to say. His raven black hair was combed and gelled to the back, his eyebrows were just perfect, and those eyelashes, they were the prettiest she had seen, his brown eyes that were staring at her, his nose and those sinful lips.

" Who are you?" His voice rang in her ears again, bringing her out of her fantasy and she quickly stood up and gathered her file that was scattered all over the floor because of her fall.

"Erm... sir, I came for the interview but we were told that it was scheduled for some other time". Hannah answered with her head bowed slightly.

"If you know that the interview has been scheduled for another time, what are you doing here? Do you know the consequences of coming here against my order?". Axel asked, he was still angry with the lady for bumping into him.

Hannah suddenly didn't know what to say. she could have killed this man the moment she saw him, but here he is, standing unscathed and speaking to her arrogantly.

" I need this job, so I came to you personally, please sir, consider me for this job and I promise not to disappoint you". Hannah quickly spun a lie, trying not to displease him any further.

Axel looked at the girl. He stared at her intently, trying to see where she got her guts from. He figured out that her looks seemed unrealistic like she was wearing a disguise. it was done perfectly, leaving nothing to be suspicious about, but nothing has ever escaped the sharp eyes of Axel. His eyes kept roaming around her and his gaze fell on her left wrist. ' Oh, so you are one of them. Let's see if you would be able to kill off your target, shall we?'. He thought to himself as a brilliant idea popped into his head.

" You are here for the interview, right?" He asked and she nodded in response. " Since you have come up all the here to meet me for the job, I will take that you are a dutiful and diligent person. And I think you will do great in your job". Axel said to Hannah and continued, "Camden, tell the secretary to cancel the interview, I can tell that this girl would make a good personal secretary. Don't you think?". Camden was dumbfounded. His boss never takes anyone's opinion on whatever he does, but now his boss was asking him. He could tell that Axel was up to something, but he didn't know what it was. His boss didn't even look at her qualifications and just gave her the job.

'I must be dreaming '. Camden thought to himself. He was still recovering from the shock when Axel spoke again, bringing him back to reality.

"You can go now and resume your duties tomorrow, my entire schedule would be emailed to you by my assistant". Axel said, but the girl shook her head in refusal.

"No sir, I would like to resume today since I am already here," Hannah said but Camden refused her immediately.

"No, the boss is in a hurry because he has a flight to catch". Camden spoke immediately trying to get the girl to keep quiet.

"Nevermind Camden, cancel the flight. I will go some other time". Camden was in shock again. This workaholic boss of his is going to cancel his flight because of a new employee. He just hopes that this new employee would not be like the previous ones and would at least relieve him of some work.

"What is your name?" Axel asked. " My name is Lillian Davis, all my information, including my qualifications are in this file". She gestured to the file in her hands. "You can check it when you have the time".

'You will be dead before you get the chance to even look at it'. Hannah thought.
