I pushed the Bishop out of the way, he's a burden.
However, the Bishop was secretly grinning, Volt might irritate him with disobedience, but he knew the height of Volt's strength, hopefully, Volt would kill me.
There was something about Volt that only the Church knew; his mother was a barbarian while his father was a human.
A barbarian was a race that could utilize a special ability called "Reaver", it gave them the benefits to become stronger while they were injured, the more they had wounds and suffers pains, the more deadly they had become. Volt had inherited this perk from his mother.
At the moment, I and Volt stood face to face from the distance, it would take some time for him to get into my side, considering the sword he carried and other equipment.
Volt wielded the broadsword and lifted it toward my direction in one hand, his eyes were like a pair of eagle' eyes.
Boom!
All of sudden, Volt charged at me, he didn't run, he didn't jump, he flushed straight midair.
By the time I noticed him, he had lifted his broadsword and swung it down, I dodged to the right.
Bang!
His broadsword shattered the ground, he had a taunt in the midst of rocks, his eyes were goading.
I retreated a couple of steps, and Volt slammed his feet down, he nodded in approval.
"That's some nice reflex."
"You're not bad either."
Volt curled his lips, he lifted the broadsword, swung it several times before his eyes glimmered with blood lust, then he slid toward me, using a thrusting motion with his giant-ass sword.
He might be fast, but to me, it didn't matter much, I avoided the thrust like I was skipping.
But then I noticed before the broadsword passed my side, Volt stopped, an ugly scheme manifested before his smile, he cocked his arm and pulled the broadsword, finally, he began to stab rapidly with it.
To be able to manipulate such a giant-ass sword with one arm, his strength was indeed fearsome.
"Woo, the boss' famous 'thousand knives'!"
"No one has ever survived that!"
The mercenaries began to cheer, but the smile on Volt's face gradually turned dim.
The reason? It was simple, not a single of his thrusts managed to scrap my skin, let alone my body.
100... 200... 400... I was more impressed that Volt could last this long, even though he was sweating bullets.
Naturally, he grew bored, knowing his deadly move could not put me down, Volt changed strategy; he jumped very high in the air, then he brought down his broadsword in a slamming manner toward me.
If he was bored, then I was more bored than him, I pointed my sword energy at him, the sword-shaped Qi intensified, it was twinkling, and then...
Boom!
The sword energy shot out as the blade extended, it turned into some kind of spear and stabbed Volt in the mid-air, I sensed his armor resisted it for a bit, must have been high quality, but it was still penetrated and went through Volt's body.
I swung the sword energy and cut Volt's stomach, the blood spurted into the air and fell like rain, and then the stalwart man crashed onto the ground, uncertain of one's fate.
