Chapter 11 - Surprise

"Hah… I'm tired."

When I turned my head to the side and checked the time, it was about noon.

"What shall I cook for lunch?"

I've been living on my own for almost three years now, and I'm still cooking for myself, which is something I'm a little bit proud of.

It's been quite a while since the incident.

"I wonder what Eri-chan is doing?"

I'm curious, even though I was there only yesterday.

Eri-chan seems to be very busy these days. When I ask her about it, she winks at me and says it's a secret.

When I asked Miho-san about it, she just laughed and said 'Ufufu'.

I fished around and what came up was pasta.

Both carbonara and tomato sauce sound good since I have either carbonara or canned tomatoes. However, it's also hard to resist the temptation of mentaiko pasta.

Then the intercom rang.

I wonder who it is.

I opened the door and there she was…

"Whoa."

"Yukishiro-Onii-san!!"

I was hugged vigorously.

"Hello, Yukishiro-kun."

"What is going on?"

"I've moved in next door to Onii-san!"

"I see, you moved in next door… EH!? WHAT!?"

"Yes."

Eri-chan smiled mischievously as she said that.

Well, it's true that the neighbors have been noisy and busy lately.

"Why?"

"That's because I want to see Yukishiro-Onii-san every day."

"Is that okay with you, Miho-san?"

"Yes, I feel safer when Eri is near Yukishiro-kun."

"Are you going to live here too, Miho-san?"

"I treasure that house, too. But I'll probably come over here four or five times a week."

I'd be a bit nervous if they expected too much, but I'll do my best.

I showed them to the living room and asked them to sit down.

Now, let's put on the apron.

"Looking at Yukishiro-Onii-san's apron attire again…it's so cute. Can I take a picture?"

I don't think I look that good in my apron. I just feel weird when I look at myself.

In the meantime, let's make a variety of things for them to eat.

Carbonara with tomato pasta sounds good. As a side dish, how about some croquettes?

I made lunch diligently and put the dishes on the table…
