Ch.2 Being 11 is weird and so is magic

"...Your magical parent told you that you should be receiving a letter soon, and you have just spotted an owl from your window some distance away flying towards your house".

This sentence was quite literal since I was just put into the body of Thomas Wight son, of William Wight, and Donna Wight now, apparently my mum was an asshole cause she ran away with another person abandoning my new dad.

Which was somewhat good for him since, after my birth, he was about to tell her about him being a wizard how he was the heir to the noble house of Wight so he didn't accidentally get arrested by the magic cops for breaking the law.

And that was good, for me at least since it would be disappointing not to have a wizard dad since I could get some early training in with theoretical knowledge and potion and herbology practice and stuff like that.

Anyway continuing I'll start going through my early memories quickly figured out my dad was a wizard when I was five, and because it was magic, I begged for it, well.. the previous owner of this body did.

So because of that, I was trained in theoretical magic potions, herbology, and other things that were nice anyway, I was also trained in my strength since I couldn't control it because I had giants blood in me so that was also a benefit.

Anyway, with that out of the way, let me get to reality, I was in my dad's house chilling on the second floor in my room next to the window which, is where I took over this body, and second, 's later I saw an owl fly into my vision and then straight to the door where it dropped something.

So I got up and ran downstairs shouting, "Dad, I think my Hogwarts letter is here!" now it was pretty easy to act like a child when I have eleven years of being one plus, I was generally excited since magic.

I quickly got downstairs and picked up a very familiar letter on it was the Hogwarts logo I ripped it open and started reading the whole thing out loud when my dad came downstairs.

Dear Mr. Wight

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted, at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

I looked up and saw my dad brimming with a smile then he hugged me and started patting me on my back, he said: "I'm so proud of you son ahhh come on let's send a letter back and then we'll quickly get dressed and go to Diagonally."

I nodded and gave the letter to dad and ran upstairs and started getting dressed, once finished I ran downstairs once again and found my dad owling a letter back to Hogwarts.

I quickly asked, "Are you finished Dad." he nodded and said, "Yep, come on let's go outside I can apparate us to outside Diagonally." I nodded, grabbed his hand, and pulled him outside.

Then he apparated us both to um whatever this place is called um it was the bar that had the entrance to diagonally in its back now while I was eleven years old it looked like I was 17 since one again giants blood.

Anyway, we quickly got to the entrance to Diagonally and my dad pulled out his wand and tapped around the wall five times which then made the door open Diagonally.

And I have to say it the sight was mesmerizing not that I got to look at it long since my father pulled me along to Gringotts to get some gold since in the rush he forgot his Mokeskin pouch.

After we got some gold, we started buying my supplies now, I didn't need a lot of the books since my dad had them, but I did need the new ones.

Now while, my dad was purchasing my stuff, I was sent to get a wand and, so I went to Olivander's wand shop once, I entered Olivander, was right at his desk writing something but with the door ring ringing, he looked up and grimaced.

Which I didn't take as a good sign he stared at me for a while before going, "I know you've come for a wand but let me go get some of my rarer ones I think you'll need it." he walked back into the chaotic mess that was his shop.

Seconds later he came out with five old-looking boxes and laid them down on his front desk he started on the most left one once he took it out he started describing it "11 inches with a dragon heartstring core and manticore hair give it a swish."

I took it and did a flick causing the left-most box to fly into the back of the store, he looked at me and took the wand back saying, he would get the box after I found my wand.

Anyway, I did this with four wands until the middlebox was left the cover was grey now once Olivander got to it, he grimaced again but, he pulled off its cover, anyway once he pulled out the wand, he started describing it "15 inches, containing a thestral-tail-hair core instead of having a hair it was covered in a substance only masterful wizards can control unless they truly, bond with it."

He handed it over to me and, I felt it connect to me once, that happened the room became colder but brighter, and an eary but cooling wind somehow appeared as well.

I looked up at Olivander who had a small smirk on his face and, said "This is my wand" he nodded and quickly said, "Yes, I can see that just know this that is a very, rare one so, it will cost you but, it is also unusually loyal."

I nodded in understanding and asked the price it was 22 galleons which was quite expensive I would have to explain how I lost half of my money when I was about to leave Olivander quickly said "Oh and do know I didn't make that one one of my great great great grandfathers did with help as well."

Nodding I finally left his shop and quickly met up with my dad who had gotten everything I needed and an owl for school as well so with all my purchases finished we went home we had a couple of days until the train left for Hogwarts so I could start studying the new books and experiment with my elder wand.
