Chapter 102 Event in the Sanctuary 1

==Sanctuary, a week after Kanda's departure to another world==

In the tallest building at the Sanctuary where inside one of the rooms in that building, a figure can be seen had busied itself with a pile of documents on its table.

That figure is Kuune, ex-Captain of the past Sanctuary's exploration team. She is currently holding the rank of Prime Minister in the Sanctuary where she is one of the top leaders alongside General Abrohams, which acts as General of the Army and Chief Secretary Rose as her aide in the Sanctuary's government. She and the other two of her coworkers had held their rank after Kanda had divided his power to them where they also had been supported by the people of Sanctuary.

*Knock*Knock*

"Yes...Please come in." Said Kuune as she heard the knock on her office's door.

Two figures can be seen have entered Kuune's office which Kuune has raised her head from her works to see the newcomer before she has surprised looks on her face and says, "Hey, Eris, Antonia-chan...what are the two of you doing here? Is there anything serious has happened that might need my attention in your department?"

"Not at all, Prime Minister Kuune. We just want to inform you that the portal gate which had been used before by Kanda had been repaired by Ichika-chan. She said that we could send someone to Kanda's location without any problems on the portal. For the large portal gate that had been requested by Kanda, Ichika has informed me that they could finish that request much earlier due to the increase in workforces inside their department." Reported Eris to the Kuune.

"That's a good news, Eris...but how many times that I need to tell you that you can call me as Kuune or Captain Kuune as before. You also has held the rank of Vice Commander of Sanctuary's Assault Team like Futaba-san, your coworker while Kinjou-san had became the Vice Commander for our Air Force Team." Said Kuune to Eris.

Kanda's girls have been appointed to each of their ranks where Eris and Aoi are inside Assault Division in the military department and Manami inside the Air Force Division in the same department while Melwin becomes Reisende's Captain as Kanda currently absent from his position. Melwin has been training all the crews of Reisende as this ship will become Kanda's main flagship if he wants to use it later.

"Hahaha, sorry...Prime Minister Kuune, it's just you have recently become the current Sanctuary's Prime Minister...so, you're not our Captain anymore after you had received that position and I couldn't call you anymore by your previous rank." Said Eris.

"But its make me feel distant with each of you, Eris. So, I hope that you can call me just like before or you can call my name like Durel." Said Kuune as she has pouted expression on her face.

"Okay then...Captain Kuune. Is this alright for you?" Said Eris before she looks at Kuune's face.

"Um~" Replied Kuune happily as she heard Eris's words before she continues, "Anyway, can I hear what is your next report? As I can see here, Antonia-chan also has coming with you to my office."

"Ano...Captain Kuune. I want to tell you that the things which Kanda-niisan had requested me before had been completed by me and my team. We only left with the testing which my team currently is setting that up. Therefore, I want to ask you whether you want to see the testing as Kanda-niisan had told before that if I want to test this thing, I need supervision from you." Said Antonia as Kuune has asked about her presence with Eris.

"Oh, Ichijou-kun had said that to you, Antonia-chan. Can I know what is it the thing that he had requested to you?" Said Kuune before she has asked Antonia about Kanda's request.

"Well, you might need to see the testing if you want to know about that thing. What can I say to you, Captain Kuune...that thing could help Kanda in his journey to another world." Replied Antonia mysteriously to Kuune.

"Ok...fine, lead me to your testing site, Antonia-chan. I will see with my own eyes what is it Ichijou-kun had requested you with." Said Kuune before she raises from her seat and giving some instructions to her subordinates through the phone.

After had sent some instructions to her subordinates, Kuune currently is following behind Eris and Antonia as she has passed through multiple buildings by riding a vehicle with them before they have arrived to their destination.

Kuune can see multiple soldiers had been stationed at the place they currently had arrived which she can say that the security is heavily guarded for a testing site.

Kuune looks at Antonia which is standing beside her and says, "Antonia-chan...Don't you think that this place is too heavily guarded. Is there anything special with what you had created for this testing?"

"You will see that thing in any moment, Captain Kuune. Anyway...let's go inside the building. You will know why this place is needed to be this heavily guarded." Said Antonia before she had invited Kuune to enter the testing site where she had needed to pass several inspections from those soldier first.

"Wow...." That's the first word which had been said from Kuune's mouth as she has amazed looks on her face as she saw what had been built and placed inside the building.

Inside the building, Kuune can see five plasma reactor towers have been erected inside here where highly reinforced glass had been placed on that plasma tower. At the centre of those plasma reactors, there is five  reinforced glass containers had been placed there where each of those containers had been connected to each of those plasma reactor towers. One of those containers has been filled with blood-red liquids while the rest of the containers still empty.

At the centre of those containers, there is another container which is slightly larger than other containers where its had been connected to those five containers outside it. Inside that container, Kuune can see a blood-red crystal had been floated around inside that container.

Kuune coming closer to the container which currently contains with that blood-red crystal before she says, "What is this blood-red crystal, Antonia-chan? Although I only can see this crystal just like a normal crystal, I can feel that my body is trembling when I look intently on that crystal."

"What you had been seen currently, Captain Kuune, is the crystal from Akari-san, the being that resided inside Kanda-niisan's body where he had asked me to analyse Akari-san's power whether we could bestow her power into a weapon." Replied Antonia with serious expression on her face.

"So, what is it your current progress with this project, Antonia-chan?" Asked Kuune to Antonia.

"We had succeeded to create a crystal which is the crystallized form of Akari-san's power but we didn't start yet the process to integrate that crystal into the weapon. Theoretically, we could successfully integrate that crystal inside the weapon as we had ran the program to create a simulation for that. However, we didn't really reliant on that simulation as we know that anything might be happened during the real testing. So, today...we will run the test to integrate this crystal." Reported Antonia about her project to Kuune.

Kuune nods her head as she listened to Antonia's report before she asks, "How much you had produced for this type of crystal? Why there is only one container had been filled with those blood-red liquid? How long you had took to create one of this crystal?"

"Well...we currently have only one of this crystal as this crystal had took 40 hours to be created which we will try to improve its production rate by consulting with Ichika-chan later as she currently had busied herself with her portal gate project. For why there is only one container had been filled with blood-red liquid...Kanda-niisan had told me that those empty containers will be filled with different liquids but those liquids are the same as Akari-san's power." Replied Replied Antonia to Kuune's inquiry.

"Why don't you filled those empty containers with that blood-red liquid just like this container? You can increase the production rate to create that crystal." Asked Kuune again.

"Unfortunately, Captain Kuune...we didn't know how will we transfer that blood-red liquid into other containers as we had tried several methods to do that but unsuccessful. My reasoning is only Kanda-niisan could handle that blood-red liquid while others couldn't do the same like him." Answered Antonia.

"If that's so, we can do the testing to integrate the crystal into the weapon now." Said Kuune to Antonia which she nods her head.

After taking the crystal with special equipment from its container, Antonia's research team slowly put that crystal to the slot of the specialize weapon which had been created from the strongest materials which they could find before they monitor the progress of that integration.

Multiple blood-red sparks can be seen as the crystal had tried to integrate with the weapon where the weapon has the same of a short sword. Those sparks become frequently occur which caused all the observers to close their eyes from its brightness before slowly diminishing and others can see the short sword has been integrated with the crystal.

Celebration can be seen inside the testing site where those researchers have joy of their life to see that their project had succeeded. Antonia also has a smile on her as the testing has proceeded perfectly.

Antonia claps her hands and says, "Enough with the celebration, everyone. We need to test the weapon to see whether it has worked just like what we had intended."

Hearing her words, the research team toned down their celebration before doing the tests on that weapon. From those tests, they can say that the weapon could manifest the same power just like Akari albeit the output is about one fifth than Kanda had used Akari's power to empower his weapons. Furthermore, that weapon could not be handled with bare hands as it will burn away the hands of its wielder. They need to use special equipment to handle the heat from that weapon or Kanda, himself is handling that weapon.

After Kuune had finished observing the testing of Antonia's project, she is going back to her office after telling Antonia that they could continue with their project and she want to see the improvement of that project as it could increase their planet's overall strength.

As Kuune has returned to her office, she did not know that another event will occur in the Sanctuary later which make her need to speed up the progress of their portal gate project by Ichika.
