Peak of Darkness Academy

The next day.

Early in the morning, Toga had already gone to the Peak of Darkness Academy's tent to register himself as a member there.

Peak of Darkness was the academy Toga had chosen after considering all aspects.

Arriving in front of the Peak of Darkness academy tent, it was as usual quiet, with few children wanting to join. Over the past two days, Toga hasn't seen anyone else besides himself trying to join Peak of Darkness Academy.

Perhaps the reason few students wanted to join Peak of Darkness Academy was because it was a mid-level academy that emphasized a darkness affinity, although Peak of Darkness Academy claimed that they accepted all types of affinities to join them.

With an environment more favorable to those with a dark affinity, and seeing that the environment there was eerie and uncomfortable, it was rare for people to join.

Peak of Darkness Academy might be the last choice if they truly had no other options.

Toga then walked into the Peak of Darkness Academy tent to handle his registration to become a student at Peak of Darkness Academy.

Toga then approached the officer who was guarding the room yesterday to inform him that he wanted to join Peak of Darkness Academy.

"Hello, I want to join Peak of Darkness," Toga stated his intention.

"Toga Schweintiger, right?"

"You can go to the administration room to handle your registration with Peak of Darkness Academy."

Toga nodded and walked towards the administration room as directed by the officer.

Upon arrival, Toga had to handle the agreement documents between the academy and himself, who would be joining.

"This is the membership agreement for Peak of Darkness. It contains agreements between both parties, namely the member and the academy," the officer handed the documents to Toga.

Toga took the documents and opened them to read them so he would know what agreements he had to comply with.

Reading through the documents, Toga nodded and understood that he would be expelled if he did not reach Rank 1 Warrior Aden within two years.

Toga then signed each required section and returned the documents to the administrative officer with a smile on his face.

"Thank you for accepting me. I am ready to join Peak of Darkness," Toga said enthusiastically.

The administrative officer smiled warmly. "Welcome, Toga. May you contribute significantly to Peak of Darkness Academy."

After completing the membership process, Toga started to feel excited about the path he would take to become a great Aden warrior.

Toga was now officially a student of Peak of Darkness Academy and was told to prepare because the next day, Toga would depart directly from Peak of Darkness Academy.

Toga nodded in understanding and hurried back to his lodging. Toga did not bring much equipment, so it took him a little time to prepare himself to go to Peak of Darkness Academy.

***

The next morning, Toga quickly left the lodging and headed to the Peak of Darkness Academy tent.

Upon arrival at the Peak of Darkness academy tent, there was already an officer ready to escort Toga.

Toga walked quickly towards the officer.

"Good morning, sir."

"Good morning, Toga. I will be escorting you to Peak of Darkness Academy."

Toga then went with the officer to the backyard of the Peak of Darkness academy tent.

In the backyard of the Peak of Darkness tent, there was a flying ship shaped like a small house, but it was quite spacious and could accommodate several people.

It was a new sight for Toga to see a flying house-shaped ship. Toga, who had never seen such a thing, was fascinated and amazed by the technology used by the Aden warriors.

Toga then stepped towards the house-shaped flying ship with the officer.

"Welcome, Toga. Are you ready for the journey to Peak of Darkness Academy?"

Toga nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, I am ready," he replied.

Inside the ship, there was something like a fireplace in the middle of the house.

The officer then chanted a spell. The officer directed his palm towards the fireplace.

"Bang!"

A sudden explosion sound was heard after the officer chanted the spell at the fireplace, which now had black flames filling it.

With that, the house-shaped flying ship soared majestically into the air. Toga could feel the gentle breeze coming through several ventilation gaps, providing a cool sensation.

Inside the flying ship, there were no other students, only Toga alone in the ship.

Toga wondered to herself, "Is there no one else besides me on this ship?".

During our journey to Peak of Darkness Academy, Toga saw mountains, winding rivers, and dense forests along the way.

After almost 12 hours of travel, a forest surrounded by darkness appeared, and there was an empty space in the middle of the forest, with a majestic building resembling an old castle in the center.

The stunning yet eerie view made Toga a bit surprised and wonder, "Why is this academy in the middle of such a dark forest?".

Finally, the flying ship landed smoothly on a landing site not far from the old castle building.

Toga then disembarked from the ship, which had landed perfectly on the ground.

"Toga Schweintiger, you can go directly to the officer at the academy's entrance gate to be directed to your dormitory," said the officer who escorted Toga.

Toga nodded in understanding and immediately walked towards the main gate, where a guard wearing a black uniform with the black flame emblem, the Peak of Darkness academy's logo, was standing.

Toga then quickly approached the guard.

"Excuse me, sir, I am a new student here."

"Oh, you're the new student accepted this year. Welcome to the Peak of Darkness."

"Thank you, sir," Toga replied with a smile.

"Just walk straight ahead, and you will see directions to the dormitory building for students." The guard then gave instructions, pointing towards a dim corridor.

Toga nodded in understanding and immediately went in.

Toga then followed the instructions and walked towards the place where the students would stay.

Along the way, Toga saw the magnificent but eerie buildings, like entering an old castle without inhabitants. However, despite how eerie the academy felt, Toga felt a warm and comfortable feeling, as if this was the place where Toga was born.

After walking for a few minutes, Toga then met an officer in charge of guiding new students.

Toga was then directed by the officer to the room where the students lived.

"Toga Schweintiger, you get room number 99. Here is your room key. For dinner, you can come to the student cafeteria here at the academy; everything is provided for free."

"For tomorrow morning, come and meet me. I will tell you a few more things."

"Okay, thank you very much," Toga thanked and nodded.

Toga then entered the room where he would stay. "Room 99, huh? It seems I am the ninety-ninth student here, but does ninety-nine refer to the number of new students or the total number?" Toga wondered to himself.

Because during the journey from Crow City to the Peak of Darkness, Toga was the only passenger on the flying ship.

Toga then stood at the door of the room, marked number 99. From the outside, the room looked very strange. "But why does this room look like a prison cell?" Toga wondered after seeing the door to room 99.

"Crack!"

The door to the room opened, and Toga then walked in. Inside, the room was quite spacious and even had several areas.

"The room is actually better than I expected."

Toga then placed the belongings he brought and cleaned the room. No matter what, the room was very dirty, maybe because it had never been occupied, so there were spider webs in every corner.

After finishing some tasks, Toga then took a short rest and, in the evening, walked to the academy cafeteria for dinner.
