Peak Heaven Class Core Absorption

In the middle of Crow City, at the information center, a boy stood in the corner of a building, waiting for someone to arrive.

After waiting for a short while, Toga approached from a distance. The boy with black hair and golden eyes was Toga, who had promised to meet Kevin at the information center.

"Good morning, Kevin. Have you decided which Aden Warrior Academy you want to join?"

"No, I haven't decided yet, but I have a few options in mind. What about you, Toga? Have you made your decision?"

"I already know which Aden Warrior Academy I want to join."

"Oh really? Which academy are you planning to enter?"

"I'm going to try to enroll in Forth North Academy."

"Forth North Academy? Isn't that the best academy on the northern continent? I was considering it too, but their requirements are very strict, and they only accept the best talents."

"Yes, as you said, but I have a backup academy if I can't get into Forth North. Remember, we can choose two academies to apply to."

The test was to be conducted at the testing center near the Aden Warrior Academy registration center. Toga quickly made his way to the testing center.

To calm himself, Toga decided to sit down on one of the chairs provided for the participants waiting for their turn.

While seated, he noticed a beautiful girl sitting next to him, waiting for her turn as well. She had incredibly smooth skin and strikingly beautiful eyes.

Toga, who had never seen such beauty before, was momentarily captivated.

However, he quickly composed himself and waited patiently for his turn to take the core absorption awakening test.

After a few hours of waiting, it was finally Toga's turn to enter the room for the test. Inside, there was an old man who looked disheveled, sitting in the middle of the room, more precisely behind a large testing stone.

The stone used for the core absorption awakening test was much larger than the one Toga had imagined, unlike the smaller stone used by Old Gue.

"Toga Schweintiger, age 13, from Olpag City," the examiner called out Toga's details and gave instructions.

"Place your hand on the testing stone, apply pressure, and imagine a comfortable environment," the examiner instructed.

The instructions were exactly the same as those given by Old Gue during Toga's previous test.

Toga nodded in understanding and followed the instructions. He placed his hand on the stone, applied pressure, and imagined a comfortable environment.

Once again, Toga's surroundings seemed very dark, but he felt at ease.

During the test, the testing stone shone brightly with a golden light and then suddenly dimmed, enveloping the surroundings in darkness.

"This is..." the examiner muttered, pausing as the phenomenon unfolded.

"Stop; the test is complete," the examiner announced after 15 minutes.

Toga withdrew his hand from the stone and looked at the examiner.

"Alright, Toga Schweintiger, your core absorption has been classified as..."

The examiner paused, causing Toga to wonder if something was wrong or if he had failed the test.

"You have the highest class of core absorption, the Peak Heaven Class. However, you possess a rare affinity—an affinity for darkness," the examiner finally revealed, but it seemed as though he was holding back something.

With the results announced, Toga was allowed to leave the room.

"It's a shame the boy has a dark affinity; otherwise, he would be highly sought after and develop quickly," the examiner murmured as Toga left.

Outside the building, Toga couldn't help but feel pleased with his results. Despite his high-class core absorption, he sensed that the examiner was not too surprised.

Toga then decided to immediately register at Forth North Academy.

Toga hurried to the Aden Warrior Academy registration center. On the way, he met Kevin again.

"I guess he's going to register too," Toga thought as he walked toward Kevin.

"Kevin!"

"Toga?"

"Are you registering today as well?"

"Yes, I'm registering today."

"Let's register together."

Toga and Kevin then went together to the Aden Warrior Academy registration center.

At the entrance, a guard stopped them.

"Stop, I am an officer working at the Aden Warrior Academy registration center," the guard stated.

"Hello, sir. My name is Toga, and this is my friend Kevin. We intend to register at the Aden Warrior Academy," Toga introduced them.

"Yes, I know you both want to register. Otherwise, you wouldn't be here. Have you taken the awakening test?" the guard asked.

"Yes, sir," they replied.

"Then you should have the test results with you. Inform me which academies you wish to apply to. Note that each person is allowed to apply to only two academies," the guard explained.

Toga and Kevin then provided their full names, ages, and the Aden Warrior Academies they wished to apply to.

"Alright, Toga Schweintiger and Kevin Harrsen, ages 13 and 14, respectively. Both of you have chosen Forth North as your first choice. To register at Forth North Academy, you can enter tent number 1, located at the beginning of the road. It's the largest tent with a golden color. Toga, for your second choice, Peak of Darkness Academy is at the end of the road in tent number 99. Kevin, your second choice is Bone Earth Academy, located in the middle of the road at tent number 65," the officer instructed.

"Thank you, sir, for the information," Toga and Kevin said in unison.

As far as the eye could see, the registration road was lined with tents from various academies, each tent reflecting the identity of its academy.

Kevin and Toga made their way to tent number 1, where Forth North Academy was located. The largest and golden-colored tent marked it as the best academy.

At the tent entrance, they saw a young girl about their age guarding the entrance.

"Hello, are you students wanting to register at Forth North Academy?" the girl asked.

"Yes, we both want to register at Forth North," Toga and Kevin confirmed.

"You can submit your core absorption awakening test results and wait for your turn to be called," she instructed.

Toga and Kevin handed over their test results and received their queue numbers.

Toga was number 77, and Kevin was number 76. The queue at Forth North Academy was long, with hundreds of applicants every day.

After a short wait, Kevin was called into the room.

"Toga, I'm going in first," Kevin said.

"Good luck, Kevin," Toga wished him.

Kevin nodded and entered the room, staying inside for almost 10 minutes.

When he emerged, his face was beaming with joy, indicating his success.

"Kevin, how did it go?" Toga asked eagerly.

"Toga, I made it! I was accepted into Forth North Academy with a low sky class core absorption and a fire affinity highly valued by the academy. I got in!" Kevin announced it excitedly.

"Congratulations, Kevin, on joining the best Aden Warrior Academy on the northern continent."

"I hope you get in too, so we can study together."

"I hope so too,"

Soon, Toga's number was called. "Test queue number 77; please enter," the girl announced.

Toga walked into the room, where a significant decision awaited him.
