Chapter 408- Reason for Derrek's depression.

By the time Declan arrived home, everyone had left. Only Earl was waiting for him in the hall.

"Where did you disappear? Dad was worried and asked many questions. Derrek didn't show up, and you vanished. What is going on?" Earl hurled back-to-back questions at him.

Declan sagged into the sofa. "I went to look for Derrek." He rubbed his slightly aching brow.

"Where is Derrek?" Earl regarded him with apprehension. He was afraid the enemy gang had tried to hurt Derrek again.

"At his friend's place," replied Declan. "He will be back tomorrow. Go and rest. I will also eat something and rest." He walked over to the dining area. "Harry, serve me food."

Earl didn't feel like it was just a normal issue. Something must have happened that Declan was not willing to reveal it. He didn't ask further, as he was relieved that Derrek was fine. He went into his room quietly.
