Chapter 379- Not a request but a warning
After lunch, they came back home. Julia's mood was no longer bitter. She was content with Alexander. At last, he realized his mistakes. This was what she wanted.
Julia grew up in a loving family where her parents loved and admired one another. She had always dreamed of having a happy family with a loving and caring husband. A strain in a relationship would only leave unhealed scars in the heart, as she had seen in Grace and Gerald, which had a negative effect on Declan as well.
She didn't want Nicholas to suffer the same fate. So, she considered forgetting everything for the sake of the family.
Alexander was also pleased that he had been able to restore Julia's smile. If Julia was happy, Nicholas would be happy, too. And their happiness was the source of his joy. As they proceeded toward the house, he interlaced his fingers with hers.
She smiled at him, and he returned her smile.
