Meeting Matthew

The dining room was large enough for several families yet only we and the children were there being introduced to the feel of this part of the house. Almost everything was white except the elongated table to serve food on was dressed in beige cloth. 

A large woman came out from a hole cut in the side, dressed in a black shirt and white apron, her blonde hair pinned in a bun. A large smile on her face proceeds to see us despite our status as prisoners in this farm dwelling. 

"I heard I am only serving one of you today?" She asked. 

I point at Mars, he had never been great with human interaction and even worse than it amongst strangers. She shook his hand vigorously, he anxiously didn't know how to react to her kindness in this form. 

His expression changed in this meeting compared to yesterday when he had been throwing tantrums and fighting the others out in the barn. No one forcing anything or being rude. They generally wanted to show hospitality.
