The Echo Cave Part 3

Looking up at him both Rianna and Rachel wanted to ask if they could have the vile just to keep but they could see him looking at the cave. Looking over themselves they also realized what he was looking at.

There was a armoured man lying face first on the grould directly outside the cave with a Echo Bat eating his right leg. The armor on that leg was completely gone and the man looked to be already dead.

Quickly creating Mana Strings Silver already had one tied around its head and was about to strike when he decided to wrap up the rest of its body just in case. Putting on his Earmuffs he looked over to see Rachel holding onto her rapier and Rianna was holding her dagger.

Pulling on his Strings and useing Moon Blade, the Echo Bat got completely covered in its own blood as the strings dug in and imbedded into its body getting stuck on the bones.

As the Echo Bat Screeched Rachel was already on the move and was infront of the Bat. Its Screeching didnt stop the 3 new holes being dug into its face.

Death was inevitable for the poor Echo Bat who had never even had a chance to identify its assailants.

Looking at each other then looking at the dead Knight, it was clear something wasnt right here.

"Where are the others?" He asked after everyone took off there earmuffs.

"Probably dead." Rachel sounded a little grim while looking at the entrance to the Echo Cave.

"What should we do now?" Rianna asked.

"We will continue to clear out the right side. Then we will take a look at the left. Dont hesitant to let anyone know if you need a break. We will come back out here and do so." Saying this to both of them as she pulled the fangs out of the Echo Bat.

She put back on her earmuffs and waited for them near the entrance to the cave. Putting back on there own earmuffs they proceeded to follow Rachel back inside.

Running into 3 solo Echo Bats as they walked, they killed them with ease and continued walking to the fork and decided to seal it up with Mana Strings again.

It wasnt like they couldnt be broke again but they would at least know when they returned to expect something if the entrance was opened.

Going down the right path again they ran into more solo Echo bats and also some groups of two or three but not any more. Upon killing their 15th Echo Bat He reached level 3 and Rianna also reached Level 3 on the 16th kill.

They both ended up putting their points into Wisdom and Vitality again. Bringing his Wisdom to 30 and Vitality to 20 he felt like he should start focusing on Dexterity again. Health was important but he wasnt getting hit thanks to Rachel and with a higher Dexterity it would be harder to hit him anyways.

So far they have taken 4 breaks and the one they are on right now would be their 5th. The breaks were mainly so they could recover mana as Rachel was the only one on the front lines right now and even preferred them as support so she could kill without worrying about a sneak attack.

On every break Silver would grind more Blue vine. The powdered Blue Vine was his goal so he didn't keep the slime unless it looked like something was inside it. He even had Rachel creat him a Sachel Bag so he could carry everything easier. She designed it to help carry vials and alchemy supplies so it was perfect.

Every now and again it looked almost like the slime had small tadpoles swimming inside so he would take one of the vials that had slime in it initially and put them in there. They wernt actually tadpoles but they were weird creature's that looked kind of similar.

Heading back into the cave and down the right path again they walked for close to 30 minutes only to hit a dead end. They did kill 3 more Echo Bats on their walk but that was all they ran into.

Rachel pointed back the way they came and they did as instructed after looking in the side paths that trailed off from the main coridore. As they returned they continued to look down the side paths till they hit the fork just to make sure they didnt miss anything.

Looking at each other, they wernt sure if they should even uncover the left corridor or not. Resting did help with keeping them in good shape but a group of 12 entered and nobody ever came out alive.

Standing there for a few minutes before removing the Mana Strings covering the left corridor. They were going in to take a look and then would leave. None of them wanted to risk their lives so this was the best option.

Walking for 20 minutes they had already run into 4 groups with 3 to 4 Echo Bats. Leveling up to Level 4 Rianna put her points into Wisdom again while he put his into Dexterity. Putting all his points into Dexterity brought it up to 30 and matched it with his Wisdom.

Long past reaching their goal of levels and clearing out Echo Bats they were now only looking for remains of the other group that came in but there was no traces what so ever. Not even a missing limb or a piece of scrap metal.

Continueing for another 30 minutes, they still found nothing but more Echo Bats so they gave up and returned outside the Cave.

The sun that was out during their last break had finally set and feeling the night air on their faces was soothing. Rachel was covered in Bat guts and blood while Rianna and himself were relatively clean.

Rachel was carrying a Sachel bag she made out of some cloth she had on hand. Inside was the 48 sets of Echo Bat teeth she collected.

Returning to town they went strait to the inn to rest. Walking in and going to their room they proceeded to take a nice long and hot Bath together before going to bed. Nothing happened in the bath other than almost falling asleep so when they hit the bed they were out cold almost imidiatly. Silver didnt manage to log out because he was way to tired to even think of doing such a thing.
