Max and Lolita....
Glancing around the corner, he spotted a woman in a sleek black suit, accompanied by a man in a similar uniform. Both were focused on a machine that was lowering items with deliberate slowness.
"Hey, are those folks human?" Max's hushed voice tickled Lolita's ear.
"Maybe," she replied.
"What do you mean, maybe?" he asked, his gaze alternating between the pair and the sudden appearance of two towering robots at the front entrance.
"Whoa!" Max exclaimed, but before they could react to the robots, the metallic giants swiftly approached the woman and man at the machine, but before they could reply one of the giant robots smashed both their heads on the wall and painted it with blood.
"OH THEIR BRAINS!!!" Max screamed, as he looked at smashed brains and an eye rolling down at their way.
Their attention was now locked onto Max and Lolita's.
The pair sprinted, but their escape was hindered. One of the humanoids closed in with astonishing speed, blocking Lolita and Max's path.
"tsk"
Lolita's hands darted into her pockets, retrieving small round objects. With a swift motion, she scattered them across the floor.
"Oh... so now the balls will explode, right?" Max's laughter sounded shaky, laced with nervousness. But his words were abruptly cut off by a deafening bang, the small orbs transforming into a sudden burst of flames.
The explosion sent them all sprawling to the ground, engulfed in the chaos of debris and dust.
As Max's eyes fluttered open amidst the haze, the scene revealed a panorama of destruction. He found himself on the 67th floor.
Coughing softly to clear the dust tickling his throat, his eyes swept across the chaotic scene, desperately seeking a glimpse of Lolita.
In that disarray, his gaze locked onto the two towering figures. They stood untouched, and he stumbled back in a rush to retreat. But then, like a sudden lifeline, there was Lolita standing behind him. His heart thudded in his chest; in that instant, he knew he had to flee. Yet, his limbs felt as heavy as stone, ensnared by the enormity of the approaching humanoids.
Their massive frames, broad and commanding, evoked a sense of impending doom. He could already envision his head being crushed to a pulp...
The tempo of his heartbeat escalated as one of the colossal humanoids, standing a towering eight feet tall, drew nearer.
Each echoing step sent shivers down his spine, and his breath seemed to catch in his throat.
The humanoid's eyes glowed a vivid red, and Max found himself frozen in place. Panic surged within him; the instinct to flee clashed with the realization that escape was futile.
As the robot raised its massive fist, Max's mind embraced the imminent brutality, his eyes clenched shut, ready to embrace the end.
But then, a resounding CLANG echoed through the air, slicing through Max's dread.
Slowly, he dared to open his eyes, only to find a figure standing before him, blocking the immense fist with two gleaming swords.
The world seemed to pause as he turned his gaze, meeting the intense, obsidian eyes of this unexpected savior.
"Are you alright?" the savior's voice resonated, drowning out the noise around them. Meanwhile, the humanoid loomed nearby, its head tilting curiously.
"Drake. Commander of the 5th Squad in the Revolutionary Army. Valued at 700 million geocoins," the humanoid announced in a mechanical yet calculated tone as its gaze scanned Drake.
"Holy fuck... 700.." Max Said in a hushed voice.
A second humanoid, positioned behind the first ready to pounce. But before it could, an earth-shattering punch shattered the air, landing squarely on its jaw. The impact rippled through the atmosphere, leaving a sense of awe in its wake.
And there he stood—a robust, towering figure even larger than Drake, even taller than Aaron. Clad in gauntlets that mirrored the size of the humanoid hands, he exuded an aura of sheer might. His blonde hair hinted at his northern heritage, and his voice carried a trace of that distinct accent.
"Apologies, sir. I couldn't find Xerox" he said to the Drake, looking down. in response, Drake smiled. Swiftly, he unleashed a calculated kick upon the humanoid's chest.
The boots he wore held a hidden power—they generated a delayed but potent shockwave. As Drake's boot connected, a mere second later, a forceful impact surged forth, disrupting the humanoid's equilibrium and sending tremors through its frame.
Max seized this opportunity, scrambling to his feet and leaving the battlefield behind. The clash of titans continued, but his focus was on one thing—finding Lolita.
"Tsk" A click of his tongue conveyed frustration as he searched the edges of the stage area.
"Lolita! Lolita!" His voice rang out in a frantic plea as he sprinted, a twinge of pain in his leg reminding him of the fall from the upper floor. Grimacing, he pushed through the discomfort, his determination unwavering.
"LOLITA, WHERE ARE YOU—" His desperate cries abruptly halted as his gaze settled upon a gathering of ten humanoids. These figures were not as towering or as broad as the previous two, yet they exuded an undeniable strength.
"Fuck..." curse escaped his lips, a testament to his realization of the peril he now faced. The humanoids detected Max's presence, responding with a choreographed synchronicity. In an instant, each humanoid aimed their weapons at Max with alarming precision.
"Intruder detected. Target locked."
