Her life was turned upside down. She became comatose and was later in a vegetative state. She was in that condition for three years. Her friends who she thought were her pillars of support left her. Her boyfriend left her for her friend. What hurt her the most was that her family was breaking apart primarily because of her. She lost everything overnight. Everyone already anticipated her death and believed that she wouldn't recover. Why wouldn't they? The doctors said she was almost brain-dead. That was what they thought... In fact, Ashley knew everything. She was just trapped inside her own body. After three years of enduring, life gave her a chance. A silver streak that made her hope that everything would be fixed and she could go back to her once-perfect life. Instead, she is sent to another world. She is Different

After the bizarre phenomenon that happened at the tournament. The winner was officially recognized. It was the Kingdom of Altria, which meant that they were the keepers of the legacy this year.

A banquet should've been held in honor of this victory. However the Palace was in disorder after the black-haired girl's appearance.

Ashley, who was still unconscious, was taken to the Palace on Emperor Ramier's command. She was quickly tended by the doctors. They ensured that she was well taken care of, since she was considered the kingdom's most precious relic.

Ramier immediately summoned Hermana, the priestess. He wanted to know how this phenomenon happened. He also wanted to know the identity of the girl who came out of the sacred box.

Especially since she had black hair. She also didn't have the appearance of a vampire nor a werewolf. Her skin.. Complexion was also odd. It was different from both races.

When he was carrying the girl, he had the chance to observe the girl up close. That's when he caught a sight of something strange. There was something present in her that couldn't be found anywhere.

It was vitality. She seemed so alive.. So warm.

It was definitely strange for someone like him considering he was a vampire. Besides having a pale complexion, red eyes, and silver hair, which was a trademark for his royal blood, he lacked what the girl had. Possibly, every vampire didn't have that.

Vampires look cold and are cold. They look like they are dead without any blood in their veins. Funny how they consume blood for their hunger, they look like they didn't have any.

But compared to werewolves, she was also different.

Werewolves had tan complexions. Opposite to vampires, their skin felt hot. It was extreme at some point. Unlike vampires, who appeared dead and lifeless, werewolves had the undeniable vigor. They looked lively.

Werewolves and vampires were like fire and ice. They are completely the opposite of each other. Like Altria and Ladell.

'It's not the same. ' he said as he considered the possibility of the girl being a werewolf.

She was something in between. She wasn't cold nor too hot. It was just right. She was warm. She didn't have the same vigor as well. Instead, it wasn't as extreme as with werewolves.

'What could she possibly be?'

Ramier touched his chin as he pondered deeply. He needed to get to the bottom of this. He had a feeling that—

He was woken up from his thoughts when the servant informed him of Hermana's arrival.

The intricately designed door of the Emperor's office was opened. Out came a blonde woman dressed in exquisite white and golden robes. There were other ministers behind her back. They are in charge of accompanying the priestess.

Ramier immediately stood up upon seeing her. He then looked at the ministers behind her.

They seemed to understand the meaning behind his look and bid farewell to priestess Hermana.

"Greetings to your majesty." the head of the ministers said as they bowed before the Emperor. He turned around to face Priestess Hermana. "We bid farewell to the Divine Priestess."he said and the other ministers bowed once again.

They left, leaving the Priestess and the Emperor alone to discuss their matters.

Seeing this, Ramier immediately greeted Hermana.

" I'm honored to bear witness of your Divine presence, Priestess Hermana. Hail Amilia!" he greeted and bowed before the priestess.

"Likewise for the Emperor of Altria, Hail Amilia!" she said in response.

Though Ramier was an Emperor, it was still his obligation to greet the Priestess with utmost respect. The priestess and the temple represented Amilia, their Divine deity. Greeting the Priestess meant honoring Amilia. It would be considered as disrespect to Amilia if he didn't.

Ramier guided the Priestess to her seat. After ensuring the Priestess's comfort he then sat opposite.

"To what do I owe this honor of being an audience to his Highness?" the Priestess said.

"It is my honor Divine Priestess." he started. "It is about Amilia's legacy... this year."

" Yes." the priestess said and cleared her throat. She knew the Emperor called her for this reason. She herself was surprised by the girl's appearance as Amilia's legacy. The Goddess Amilia spoke to her in one of her dreams.

The deity told her that this year's legacy would be different from her past legacies. However, she still didn't know what it was. Amilia didn't tell her anything besides that. So when the ministers told her about what happened at the tournament, she was also clueless about the girl's identity and how this came to be.

"I offer my congratulations to Altria for winning this year's tournament and obtaining the legacy."she smiled courteously."However I do not hold any other information about this year's legacy."she said calmly.

Hearing this, Ramier raised his brow.

"What do you mean by this Priestess?"he looked at her confused.

"Well, besides appearing in my dream and describing the legacy, our goddess said nothing other than this... She didn't disclose anything. " she sipped her tea.

"Nothing?.. That is quite odd. I remember clearly she would often say the purpose of her legacies or the meanings." he said, perplexed.

The priestess nodded at his comment. Amilia would often describe each legacies' purpose. She would say it's importance and give advice to the people of the continent. This time, what she said was very brief and vague.

"This priestess knows and is also confused. But we cannot question our esteemed goddess. There must be a great purpose for this."

"That is true. Our deity never did anything to harm the continent she blessed." he agreed but asked another question. "But I am very curious about the legacy's race. I wonder if she's a werewolf or a vampire."

"I also have no knowledge about this. But what does his Highness think? Of course, you would know one of your kins." she suggested.

"I can definitely conclude that she is not one of my kind. But I'm not sure if she is a werewolf either."he denied.

"Are you sure your Highness?"Hermana said and found it very strange. She began to feel curious as well. It really is a strange one.

"So what is his Highness's plan?"

"I do not know yet. I was thinking of keeping her at the Royal Museum. However that is impossible since it is a living being not a thing. Maybe sending her to Ladell or the Central temple would do."

"Well if that is his majesty's wish, then we at the Central temple will welcome the legacy." Hermana said. She also wanted to meet the legacy. To see if rumours about the raven-haired girl were true.

"But I'll decide later, once the legacy wakes up."

Ramier then stood up, followed by Hermana. Their discussion came to an end. They bid each other farewell and notified the ministers who were outside the room. Hermana left along with her ministers to return to the Central temple.
