Chapter#7:The fiend's dawn.

The arrows submerged in black flames were targeted at their heads.

"Phew! that's the end of...them? " He suddenly heard a piercing shriek from within the cave. A hoard of another group charged toward him with tusks of wild boars.

"Come to me!" He set his stance to shoot the arrows.

"What...?"His eyes widened with surprise as they passed through him to the north.

-"Master!"

He immediately cast a barrier of flames that prevented them from approaching his trail any further.

"Your opponent is me." He called them out as most of them redirected towards him.

Meanwhile, his wings almost froze in the cruel blizzard that mercilessly pierced through his body.

Everything around him was covered in white. There was no sign of a glowing flower in this wilderness.

He hastily looked around as the blizzard grew crueler.

"Damn it!" He roared as he tirelessly scoured even higher.

A beam of light caught his eye. He winced as he felt something suddenly pulling him down.

The wings faded away into the heavy blizzard as he held onto the edge of the mountain.

His breathing grew heavy. He had gone through battles that nearly cost his life every time he indulged in wars.

Never had he felt this helpless while executing a task.

He managed to grab the flower from its roots as more of them attacked him digging their claws into his flesh.

He could no longer hold up and released his hand from the edge.

"Jafar!" He yelled at the top of his lungs.

His aide wavered his spell and turned around where the faint light descended from the mountains into the snow.

"Master!"

The Blizzard died out and the fiends retreated into the cave.

-"He must've retrieved the antidote! I gotta hurry." his brows wrinkled as his black eyes changed their color to blood red.

"There!" He dashed through the rocky mountains to where he fell. He found him in a capsule-shaped barrier that saved him from the great fall.

"Are you alright Master?" He landed where he was breathing heavily.

"Th-"His breathing grew rapid as raised his hand and gestured a sign of victory.

"I'd rather you died." He narrowed his eyes as Erebus grinned in confidence.

"Wha-!Jafar you rascal. Just wait when we reach back to the fortress."

Meanwhile at the Stygian fortress...

The morning sun let out its first ray of light when the demons retired back into their respective homes.

"She will hold on for a little while with this." He placed a small bottle of pink fluid that was supposedly an alternative to the antidote.

"Her condition has been stabilized."He grimaced over her frail health.

"I hope the lord hurries back before it's too late."

She groaned in discomfort. Her body was covered in a cold sweat.

"Mr. Darren, please hurry up. That woman needs assistance."A maid rushed out of Erebus's room where Luciana lay.

The old man hurried to the room with all of his strength and picked up the small bottle. He pulled the wooden cork and tilted it a little near her mouth when the door burst open behind him.

"Old man! Hurry up and make the antidote." Erebus entered the room with Jafar's help who helped him walk through the forbidden forest of thorns across the river of the dead.

"My lord! What has led you to become like this?"

"Don't mind me. Treat her instead." He pointed at her and lay down on the couch near the fire.

"Mr. Darren, allow me to treat the master." Jafar offered a helping hand and took over Erebus's wounds.

"My lord you should get married and settle down already. How much longer must I take care of you like this?"He looked up when there was a brief silence.

-"He's... Asleep."

"It's done." Derran stroked his white beard and raised the little glass bottle in the sunlight.

"That was fast." Jafar stood up and looked at the colorless fluid inside the bottle.

He took a deep breath and walked towards the bed.

"Here goes nothing." he hesitantly tilted the bottle and carefully let the fluid slip into Luciana's mouth.

It tasted bitter but the effects started to show results. The spots from her face vanished as her skin became flawless as smooth milk. The dark circles under her eyes disappeared and her body stopped trembling and breaking a sweat.

She gradually calmed down and slept like a baby.

"Thank goodness!" the old man sniffed as he was amazed by the miraculous recovery.

"You're too kind old man. As expected of a human." Jafar patted his shoulder to calm him down.

"Now it's the lord's turn." he tilted it near his mouth and let a drop of the antidote slip into his mouth.

"Let's leave them be." Jafar smiled as he watched the sight of the culprit and victim sharing one room.

The twilight veiled the sky purple. The moon dawned as the demonic creature started a new 'day'.

The bells of the fortress's tower chimed that awaking Luciana and shortly Erebus after her.

Her gaze fixated upon the injured man turning over on the couch in his sleep.

Embarrassed and scared she screamed at the top of her lungs that echoed to the mountains.

"What th-"He suddenly fell from the couch alarmed.

"Pipe it down it hurts!" Erebus struggled from the carpet placing his hand on his shoulder and lightly massaging them to rid of cramps.

The sight of him made Luciana tremble and backed away knowing that this time she would be doomed for sure.

"You look rather ungrateful." He shrugged in dissatisfaction.

"Who are you?"

"Your savior," he answered back much to his disinterest.

"Hey now. I haven't done anything to you so calm down already." He scratched his head lightly.

Her heart raced with fear and curiosity as she looked at the wild beast that leaped from behind him dominating near her.

She let out a weak cry as it sniffed her soft hair.

She backed away a little further from the beast that looked like a wolf.

"Don't show your fear around him. Or he might attack you," he instructed her as she looked into the beast's golden eyes.

-"How can I not be scared when a beast is sitting right in front of me?"
