After finishing his meal in the canteen, as usual, Ivan said goodbye to his roommates. They would now have to either go to class or work. Only he would go to the room one last time to get his already packed sack of belongings. Although that was only some clothes and books.

The members of the room weren't really close since everyone was always in constant competition for the best tasks. Thus nobody really cared about him leaving and the goodbye was done in a simple sentence, telling them that he would leave and that was it.

After grabbing the bag of belongings from his room, Ivan went to the manager's office. The manager responsible for him was a fat bald man, who never cared much about what the children did, as long as they didn't break any rules. This made him one of the best managers in the orphanage. At least he didn't care. Others always punished one child or another for something they did. Well, although they called it punishment in fact they just enjoyed doing so.

"Ah, Ivan.", the manager greeted him after calling him inside his office. "You going to leave us today, right?"

"That's correct, Sir." According to the rules, the managers had to be called sir and their orders had to be strictly followed.

The manager scanned a document on his screen and then looked at him. "It seems like everything is in order. You have reached the age of 18 and have no debt with the Corporation."

He then grabbed an envelope in one of the boxes on the shelf behind him. Putting it down on the table he gestured for Ivan to come closer.

"These are your identification documents as well as a bank card for the Sunsiert Bank.", he explained, while pulling out two cards. One of them had his picture as well as his basic information such as name and age. It was black while the font was silver and the eagle which was the emblem of the empire was golden. This card was the identification document which was necessary to apply to guilds, jobs, or to rent, buy, or build a house.

The other card had the same color scheme but instead of the eagle there was a golden sun on it and the picture of himself was missing. This was a card of the Sunsiert Bank.

"According to the document, there should be two hundred credit points on the card.", the manager said, "It has a System port, so you can check if you want."

Credit points were the currency accepted by every country and supported by the System. Since he had some credits left, those had been exchanged for credit points.

Ivan focused on the bank card and a window popped up in his view.

<< Bank account

Bank: Sunsiert Bank

Owner: Ivan King

Saldo: 200CP

>>

The content of the window proved, that the manager had told the truth. There really were 200CP on his bank account, which was more than he had expected.

Seeing his surprised look, the manager smiled. "Someone paid for it to be round up. She also told me to give you this." He then took out another envelope. This one was of a much higher quality than the other.

After receiving it Ivan took a look at the writing on it. "For Ivan." He had already guessed who had paid for the money and the handwriting only confirmed his guess.

It was Mrs. Lucia.

Mrs. Lucia was something he had first met shortly after his fourteenth birthday. And she was someone he hated as well as felt thankful for.

He was handsome looking and the manager of the recreational district had taken a liking in his looks. Thus he had asked for him to be assigned to the recreational district for work. And this was how the true nightmare had started.

The recreational district was a service the orphanage provided to the higher-ups of the companies under the Sunsiert Corporation. There was a multitude of services available, all of them trying to provide enjoyment for those higher-ups.

The part Ivan had been assigned to was the service group. Their task was to service those higher-ups in any way they want, which more often than not meant sexual services. And most of the time fulfilling their weird fetishes as well.

Mrs. Lucia was such a higher-up. When Ivan had been there for the first time, she had instantly taken a liking to him and using her status had made him her exclusive service boy. Something that was good as well as bad. It allowed him to escape having to service the other guests but had forced him to endure her demands.

Although compared to what others told about what their guests demanded, hers were harmless, it still was torture for him.

Purely sexual demands were still ok. He didn't have any problem with pleasuring her or letting her ride him however she wanted. But besides the basic stuff, sometimes when she had a bad day, she let out her anger on him. Whipping and hot wax where still the lighter punishments she had thought of.

Once she had forced him to bend over and let her use his asshole. Every time he thought about it he could still feel the disgust, helplessness, and shame. Back then he nearly killed himself and only barely managed to hang on.

Luckily for him, she hadn't liked it much either and it had only ever been this one time. Instead, she preferred to just kick and hit him, using him as a punching bag. The pain from her punches was something he could endure, especially since she kept her power in check, so she didn't seriously injure him. He just thought of it as straining his toughness and endured it.

Still being abused regularly, sometimes even seven days a week, led to him hating her with a passion. As for the gratefulness, this came from her making him her exclusive service boy, which kept him safe from crueler guests, and her always bringing something for him with her.

Sometimes it was sweets that they shared, sometimes it was a book, she would lend him for some time. There were also clothes and shoes, which were of much better quality than those provided by the orphanage.

The highlight had been when she had gifted him a notebook, that had a selection of engineering tools on it. Without it, he never would have been able to gain the knowledge of machines that leveled up his mechanic skill to level 1.

He carefully opened the envelope and took out the letter.

<< Happy Birthday Ivan.

Besides wishing you a happy birthday and a great start into your new life, I also want to offer you a birthday gift. If you dare, you can come to my penthouse and receive it. The address is written below. If you don't come today then I will assume you don't want it and we won't meet again.

...

>>

There were some more well-wishes written on it in case he didn't accept the invitation, as well as the address to her penthouse.

Reading through the letter, Ivan didn't understand what she wanted. Why would she prepare a birthday gift for him and why would she dare him to come to receive it?

A part of him didn't want to have anything to do with her, while another was curious as to what this gift would be.

*Whatever, what do I have to lose?*, he thought and decided to risk it. And risky it would be. By coming to her apartment on her invitation he would allow her to take some control of him. She had once told him that she had a noble title and if a commoner accepted the invitation of a noble to their home it would indicate that they accepted a connection with them. Of course, that was only the case if the invitation was a private one and not to a party. And the type of connection was determined by the noble, with the commoner having no right to reject.

That was how the society in the Empire was. Nobles would always be better off than commoners. And the higher the rank the higher the difference.

If he didn't have an understanding of her, developed during the last four years, then he would never risk it. But she wasn't the type to not tell him straight up what she wanted. If she wanted to than with her status at the Sunsiert Corporation she would have easily been able to force him to do what she wants

"Then I wish you a good life.", the manager said, when he saw that he had finished reading the letter.

"Thank you.", Ivan politely said. Those were the customary words said, when leaving the orphanage.

He then left the office with the letter and the two cards now inside his pockets.
