So sad

The woman in front of me was stunningly cute. She had a polite smile on her face that I desperately wanted to wipe off. I was getting territorial and I didn't like it. I blinked and forced a strained smile on my face.

" Do you have an appointment? " I asked in an overly sweet tone that probably sounded sarcastic.

" No, but he's expecting me, " she said.

I nodded my head and picked up the phone to call him.

" Some woman is here to see you. Her name is Alicia and she says you're expecting her. " I said, not caring that I was sounding rude in front of the woman.

" Send her in, " came his voice with a hint of amusement.

I nodded at the woman and gestured for her to enter. She smiled at me one last time before muttering a thank you. Almost immediately, guilt hit me like a ton of bricks. I put my head in my hands and groaned. I was acting like a jealous high school girl all because of a man.
