Silas

I blinked, trying to see if I was seeing my own things or if I was actually seeing Silas in front of me. By the light thump in my chest, I knew I was a little afraid of him. A bigger part of me knew that he would never hurt me.

He feared Kai as did everyone else.

What if he had been sent by the council? He would surely hurt me if that was in fact the case. I inclined my head to get a better look at him as he walked towards me like a predator.

"What are you doing here, Silas? " I asked as soon as he got to the front desk.

He laughed and stared at me some more. His eyes raked my body like he was appreciating my body even behind the counter. He made me start to suspect that he could somehow see through it.

"What are you doing here? " I asked again because he was not making a move to talk. His gaze disgusted me. It was appreciatory but it made gave me the ick.
