She Will Be Of Use

Everly's legs trembled as she stared at the clock on the wall. It was now 8 p.m., and she needed to leave so she could return on time.

She grabbed her phone and looked at its screen, wondering why Valerio had not returned from his company yet.

She wants to tell him, but if she keeps waiting for him at this rate, she might not be able to complete her mission tonight.

A deep breath fled her nose, and she stood up from the bed.

[Valerio, if you come back and I am not home yet, do not worry. I just went out to finish some business. We will talk when you return.] She sent him a voicemail and stuffed the phone into the pocket of her jacket.

She made her way out and proceeded downstairs.

She walked out of the building and out of the compound, stopping a cab that would take her to the location.

Once she had entered, the driver took the location and moved to drive her.
