You're a Liability

"So where to?" SHe said snapping you back into reality. "Uh-." You couldn't come up with an answer. It didn't take her long to realize what was going on. "Sebastain just go back to my place." She yelled in the direction of the font of the car. "Ofcore Ms. Black." He said back before he started driving towards the heart of the city. "Your place?" You asked, looking a little flustered and even more nervous now. "Yes." She responded, not paying you much attention.

"But… Why?"

"Because I have a feeling you don't have a place for me to drive you to." She could tell that had pretty much hit the target. "Maybe, or maybe I just don't want to give my address to a stranger whose name I don't even know." You said tensing your body getting defensive. "Ivory." She said blankly. It threw you off a bit. "What?" "Ivory, that's my name. But everyone calls me Ivy." She said again this time making eye contact. "Uh-thanks."

"Everything has a cost, your name would suffice for the information I've given you." She said as a devilish smirk spread across her face. "Its- its Maddison ." You said, relaxing a little bit. There is something about her that intrigues me. I can't figure her out, she is pretty but her eyes are cold. It seemed like she was more calm and relaxed than she was on the inside. "Hiding behind an indifferent gaze, to protect yourself from being hurt." You mumbled under your breath not noticing she had heard you. "What an interesting observation." She said sitting up a bit focusing all her attention on you. "Please elaborate." She said now perched on the edge of the seat staring at you, waiting for an explanation for your outburst. "Oh I oh- It's just something I picked up on because I used to do the same thing." You rambled hoping she wasn't upset with your assumption.

"Now what could a pretty girl like you be hiding from the world for." She asked. It didn't take long for you to give in and tell her the story. How your mom died and shortly after your father blamed you. You running away, being homeless, living out of the bar. There was something about her that made you feel safe. As sketchy as this whole situation was, you couldn't help but fall into that familiar feeling. You had been talking the rest of the car ride.

When the car stopped you both got out and stood in front of a giant apartment building. You fooled her in, walking over to the elevator. She pressed the button for floor 43, the highest floor. "YOu live in the apartment at the top?" You asked in shock of how many floors this builinghad. "I own the penthouse at the top. I kinda live all over the place. I've got townhouses and apartments all over the country for my convenience." "Wow." You said as the elevator doors opened.

As you stepped off you walked into a living room the size of the bar. There were two sofas, a giant flatscreen, a coffee table, and a lounge chair. To the right there was a kitchen with a dining room attached. To the left a giant staircase going up to the second floor. As you looked around taking everything in around you she had walked over to one of the couches and thrown her blazer over the back of it as she walked into the kitchen.

"Hey Princess, you gonna come in or do you wanna spend the night in front of the elevator?" She yelled from the kitchen. Princess? You thought a little confused by the pet name, I'll ask about it later. "Oh sorry, you have a really nice place." You said walking into the kitchen. "It works for what I use it for, to be completely honest this is where I bring most of my one-night-stands." She said sitting on the counter. "It's big enough to impress them and the door man does the honor of kicking them out in the morning." She said as she laughed a little, running her hand through her hair. "Oh, I… Uh. I'm not really um- ." "Relax, you're not my type anyways." She said hopping off the counter. Ouch. You thought. "Come on, I'll show you your room." She said as you followed her up the stairs.

She showed you to the guest room and after you were settled she left. You slept that night and woke up the next morning around 11. You got up, made yourself somewhat presentable and headed down stairs. You walked into the kitchen where you found her sitting at the table on her computer with a cup of coffee. "Good morning." You said as you walked in she turned slightly and rolled her eyes at the sight of you.

"You're still here?" She asked, sounding annoyed as she turned back towards her computer. "Um, yeah I was -." "Whatever, just be out of here in the next 30 minutes." She said as she cut you off. She picked up her computer and her coffee and pushed past you. "I Have a meeting."She said as she disappeared up the stairs and into her office.

You wait a moment then went back upstairs to gather your belongings. As you emptied your bag making sure everything was in it and inplace you rented a bit. "God I hate rich people always thinking they're better than someone. Like I didn't ask you to lurk behind the bar like some serial killer. I knew I shouldn't have stayed here, yet here I am. Being kicked out like some lame ass loser."

"Well, lame ass loser sounds a bit harsh." You heard coming from the doorway. You head snapped towards the door as you saw her standing there, looking offly amused by the situation. "God what is it with you and just popping up out of nowhere?" You asked, still fairly agitated. "I live here. I'd also seest that you don't trash talk someone until you're outside of their 2 million dollar apartment." She said as she walked out of the doorway and back down the hall.

"Well I guess I'll be going." You mumbled to yourself as you gathered the rest of your things and exited the premises.

You were in the middle of the city wandering aimlessly around looking for a familiar street. You were walking for a while when you finally said a street name you recognized. You started walking down the street and some random guy crashed into you. "Oww, excuse me." You said as he crashed into you. He didn't even stop to apologise he just pushed past you. Weirdo, you thought as you continued to walk in what seemed like the right direction. You were coming up on a small driveway into an alley when someone grabbed you from behind and pulled you off into the alley. You couldn't see who it was so you just continued to kick and flail as they pulled you deeper into the area between the two buildings.

You attempted to scream but your kidnaper was holding your mouth shut and all the noises you made were muffled by their dirty hand. I swear to god, it's just my luck that i get abducted today of all days. You kept kicking until you heard a car scratch and before you could look to see what the commotion was about there she was. The same snarky rich bitch who took you back to her '2 million dollar apartment' last night was standing before you in the alley holding a gun to your captors head.

"Let her go, Jack." she said firmly pushing the barrel of her 9mm into his forehead. It was a terrifying situation and you were super confused but you couldn't help but i think she looked really good acting all bad ass. Oh come on Maddison get your head out of your ass you're literally being abducted, she's trying to help you and you're checking her out. "Did you not hear me?" She asked, stepping closer. He didn't let up and you were getting impatient so you decided to take part in the bad ass-ness going down. You tilted your head up a bit and bit his pointer finger. He yelled in your ear at the pain, you broke the skin and let go immediately not waiting to get some disease from this hoodlum. You elbowed him in the ribs and stomped on his foot.

In the midst of your little self defence moment Ivy grabbed your arm pulling you behind her. "I seguest you run back to Peter with your trail between your legs. Unless of course you want me to send him your head?" She said not easing up. The guy took a step back and turned around walking back down the alley. He got about 5 yards away when you heard the gun fire, she shot him in the ass. You couldn't help but laugh a bit. "Ahh, you bitch!" He yelled, stumbling into the wall next to him. "Tell Peter to keep his hands off what's mine." She said as she turned around and walked back out onto the street.
