Chapter 19

Airen had been so worried about her son's state that she insisted herself to always join Muren when training their child. She made sure to be by her son's side and take care of Coen.

She would squirm at the sight of her son getting beaten up or tripping down at times and would always be over the edge while a mock fight was being executed.

Coen was trained to strengthen his physical body and his strikes in punching. Muren turned out to be quite tough trainer as he had witnessed the soldiers' training ground when he used to work for the government as a scholar.

He would sometimes go round the palace to observe the psychological conditions of people working there to serve the people. He happened to pass by the training soldiers once and had seen their practices during those arduous times.

Although he had not actively participated in such training, he had seen it over and over to the point that he became capable of teaching the fundamentals to other people. Some of the members were also revealed to be quite prominent fighters and have strong capabilities.

Muren had an abundant amount of knowledge in handling artillery too.

He had read several books about it enough to know how they were assembled and used at the same time. For now, self-defense and moral values had been the main focus of Coen's training at the underground.

Aside from how to fight, Coen was taught the reason why he should fight.

Muren clearly stated why the organization had been formed and what danger lies among their place right now.

He taught how beautiful his world could be if freedom was at their hands.

Freedom was taught to be flutteringly ethereal and necessary, which was being deprived of them right now. Coen would always nod to the teachings and absorb the truths he had woken up to.

He trusts his father more than anyone else, because he would tell what was something among something else. And when he understood what his father meant, his admiration would only grow stronger.

It was usually the time when the son's hero becomes his own father when things align as a good family. And they were all in a perfect alignment.

A strong, responsible, and reliable father, a loving, tender, and wonderful mother, and a loyal, honest, and humble son.

The stronger the child gets, the more Airen gets assured that he would not be hurt too much.

She began trusting her husband more and more, so she was able to return in concentrating with her works.

The more her child grew, the more it felt like she was already serving two leaders at home.

Soon, Coen would volunteer to sleep on the floor with a mat for he had outgrown already the space between his father and mother at the bed.

Meanwhile, Airen resumed her assigned work of secret transportation for the organization. She would also still pass by the orphanage house, staring at the same boy with desire and yearning.

Soon, she had finally took the courage to enter and talk with the priestess in charge.

They discussed the process of adopting a child, which filled Airen with excitement as she returned home.
