The Next Day

I stand there in shock for a minute, we were making out really hot and heavy for a while there, and I was the one to start it. After I locked up the house I went to my room and got ready for bed.

I had to take another shower in hopes of calming down a little. I was wired and all I could think about was Mathew's lips. After the water started going cold I got out and got dressed after that I got into bed. That night I had my first dream about Mathew.

Getting up the next morning I felt like I hadn't even slept. The strange thing was I could remember the dream very clearly. I wasn't afraid of the dream just very confused.

Once I got dressed and had breakfast I grabbed my bike and headed to the bakery. Once I got there I hit the doorbell to let Edith know I was here. Once she let me in she took one look at my face and we went to the kitchen so she could make us some tea.

"Okay girl spill it, tell me everything. What did you make for him? What did you wear? What did he wear? Did he like the food? How long did he stay? I need details."

"Well since the boys grilled steak I made pasta. I wore my white dress with the purple roses on it. He showed up in a charcoal grey suit that fit like a second skin. I believe he liked the food. When we were done he helped me do the dishes. After that we watched wrestling. We did set up our date for Saturday. We are going to the movies. We got to know each other better. Then somewhere in there we started making out. Things started getting interesting but he got a phone call and had to leave."

"When you say making out I am assuming you mean kissing?"

"Well I am embarrassed to say if it weren't for the call he got I might have gone a lot further. I felt like I didn't have any control over my actions. But he wasn't trying to stop it either. And he seemed really upset by the call."

"Oh I'll bet the call upset him, he probably thought that he was going to get lucky."

"I lost all control so he might have. But that wasn't the strangest thing, last night I had a dream about Mathew. It didn't scare me but it was odd and I don't understand it."

"Can you tell me what the dream was about? Do you remember it?"

"That's just it I remember all of it. It's like I was really there. We were at the frat house again, it was another party I think it was a Christmas party because there was a decorated tree in the front. Once again it was a barbeque. Everything was going great, then there was some kind of attack. The next thing I know I am surrounded by wolves. The strange thing was Mathew walked up to me but he wasn't himself, he was a beautiful grey Wolf. I wasn't afraid of him but he was hurt and it scared me. And that's when I woke up."

"What were you guys watching before the make out session?"

"We were watching wrestling. So it didn't come from that and the book I'm readying is Anne Of Green Gables so it didn't come from that. It was just a very weird dream. I will say he is a sexy Wolf though."

"Well I must say you have some interesting dreams my dear but we should start our day come on we have some very big orders this morning."

We go downstairs to the bakery and start filling orders. By nine we have everything done and ready for pick up. Then we start work stocking the display cases. Once they are filled I go back in the kitchen and make three kinds of fudge. I make plain fudge, then I make rocky road fudge, and finally I make a peppermint fudge. After those are done and setting up in the blast chiller I make the truffles. I make raspberry, orange, vanilla, and mint truffles. After those I make the filled bonbons. For those I make carmel, strawberry, orange creme, and raspberry creme. Once everything has set I put it in the smaller display case. Once everything is out Edith turns the sign to open and we wait.

Ten minutes later the people start coming in to pick up their orders. I have to laugh, as soon as they notice the candy they start getting excited. Everyone who comes in has to get some. I'm glad I made two large batches of everything. If we are lucky it might make it till noon. Once all of the orders were picked up our regular people started coming in and it happened all over again. Once the rush was over I had to hurry and restock everything. After that it was quiet till the kids got out of school. We were hit hard for a third time.

At four I see Tim walk in, I look over at Edith and raise my eyebrows. She shrugs her shoulders and comes over to the counter. Tim gets two dozen assorted pastries then he notices the candy and asks for everything we have left. Edith and I smile at each other and box everything up. Tim pays for everything and then turns to go. Just before he walks out he comes back to the counter and hands Edith a piece of paper. He grabs the boxes and yells back," We need that by next Sunday and your both invited."

Then he walks out the door.

Edith opens the paper and sees that they want a four tier cake, chocolate with Christmas theme decorations. They also want six dozen assorted pastries also with Christmas themed decorations. As we finish reading the list the phone rings. This time it's Mathew and he is adding six dozen assorted candies to the list.

As Edith hangs up the phone she starts laughing," Girl who would have thought your candies would be this popular, I think we should do them all year around."

"I am okay with that if you want to. I know a few other things we can do so it's not all chocolate."

"That sounds good to me. What do you say we close and clean up then go have dinner."

"Sounds good to me, Its not like we have much left anyway."

After that we clean up and close the store for the day. Then while we are eating we talk about Mathews order. Once we have a rough idea of what we are going to do I head home for the night.
