chapter 2

(You should know that the story takes place at the same time as Ciri is training in Kaer Morhen)

"I should stop dwelling on the past," I murmured, rubbing my eyes to wipe away a few tears.

"Night is falling; I need to head home before the little princess gets angry again," I sighed and stood up.

In a twist of fate, I found myself reincarnated in the world of the Witcher, precisely at the time when Ciri was training in Kaer Morhen. Despite my initial desire to rush there and become a witcher myself, practical challenges such as the long, difficult, and expensive journey thwarted that plan. Additionally, I found myself serving the royal family of Cintra, chosen by a certain person.

As I ascended the stairs to the princess's room, my eyes couldn't help but be drawn to the soldiers training. I yearned to wield a sword, not just for the thrill, but also for self-defense in this new world. However, a cry shattered my reverie.

"AIDEN, WHERE ARE YOU!"

Snapping back to reality, I hurried towards the princess's room. When I reached the door, I took a deep breath and knocked. The door swung open, revealing an angry white-haired girl.

"You're late, Aiden," Ciri scolded, stamping her foot.

With a smile, I replied, "Forgive me, princess. I was looking at the stars."

"Why? You should stay with me."

"I can't always stay with you, princess. I'm just a servant, and it would be unwise for me to be seen with Her Highness too much, especially considering your engagement."

"I don't want to marry that pig."

"Princess, don't say that out loud."

"I don't care who hears me. Fine, I called you in for a story, like I always do."

As Ciri settled onto her bed, I couldn't help but smile at her childish behavior.

"Well, princess, what story shall I tell you?"

"The one about Peter Pan," Ciri said happily.

"Very well, then. Once upon a time..."

"And so the story ends."

Ciri let out a yawn. "Ahh."

"Well, princess, I bid you goodnight."

As I rose from the bed, ready to leave, Ciri called out to me.

"Aiden?"

"Yes, princess?"

"Will you always be with me?"

Taken aback by the question and the pleading look in Ciri's eyes, I walked over, gently touched her head, and said, "I don't know, princess. Many things can change, and circumstances might drive us apart."

"But I don't want to," Ciri cried. "Grandma is mean for betrothing me to that pig. I wish you had taken care of me."

"You seem to want to be spoiled, princess," I teased, sporting a playful smile.

"Of course! I'm the princess, and when I'm queen, I'll force you to marry me," Ciri proudly declared, puffing out her chest.

"Princess, that won't be possible, as I told you. Our social statuses are completely opposite, and our fates are not connected at all because, Princess, you are destined for great things."

"Goodnight, princess. Sweet dreams," I said as I prepared to leave.

"Goodnight, princess. Sweet dreams."

Seeing Aiden out, I curled up in my duvet. Observing the bright moon outside, I got out of bed and walked to the window. Remembering Aiden's words about the soothing stars, I gazed up at the night sky.

"Mmh, that sounds nice."

"Why can't Aiden and I be together? Our fates are so far apart," I lamented through tears.

"I don't want to. I want Aiden with me forever."

As I continued crying, a shooting star streaked across the sky. Remembering Aiden's advice, I clasped my hands in prayer with tears still flowing.

"Please, let something or someone make it so that Aiden and I can stay together forever and have the same destiny."

Looking up at the stars one last time, I walked away from the window, back to my bed, still in tears, and finally fell asleep.

But, as fate would have it, fate itself is not an unbreakable force. The little wish of a girl, wanting to stay close to the one she felt closest to, didn't realize that Ciri's fate, once a white rope, was now entwined with a black one belonging to the young man sleeping in the servants' quarters. For now, their fates, like Ciri's wish, were bound together and would remain so until the end of time.

(Aiden, never having an epic moment, finds joy in the innocence of a child. It's important to note that Aiden sees Ciri as a sister, and at this age, Ciri perceives their relationship as a close friendship or almost a brother-sister bond. Despite potential interpretations, AidenxCiri is not the intended outcome. Aiden is predicted to have romantic involvements with three women, a number deemed reasonable in the narrative. However, the introduction of the other two characters will occur later in the story.)

(Aiden has never had an epic moment so giving a child who has never played will make him happier than ever before anyone says it's weird, Aiden sees Ciri as a sister but Ciri at this age doesn't understand love and takes their relationship as a best friend or almost brother and sister relationship even though some see I'm predicting AidenxCiri anyway I'm predicting 3 women for Aiden not one more because after that it's too much but the other 2 you wouldn't be seeing them now)
