The deciding factor between choosing the main exit or the secret exit was the existence of Riley and his presence.
The main exit had more guards while the secret exit had fewer. But Dusk knew that would mean Riley would choose to reside in the secret exit. But there was a slight possibility that Riley would be at the main exit. Which would be much more dangerous. It would mean facing both a greater number of guards and the strongest foe in this underground base.
Dusk was sure Riley knew most would choose the secret exit due to this risk. But that didn't mean Dusk was regretting his choice.
"DIE, YOU EMO BASTARD!"
A guard thrust his spear forward to piece through Dusk's heart. But Dusk merely sidestepped to avoid the attack and then countered with a fist to the guard's face.
