Chapter 17. Scorpion's Sting

Its been 2 weeks since I've left Mistral, the dates for the girls wasn't to bad I even left them some advice. For the twins I taught them the aura skills that I have and showed them how to make dust infused weapons to compliment their fighting styles. I showed Pyrrha that she can use colored iron sand to make mosaics for practice of fine control over her semblance and to use iron sand to jam guns plus interfere with transforming weapons. Right now my goal is to hunt down a particularly powerful grimm that rivals the Wyvern in the fall of beacon to add to my summons in hope of using it to kill the Wyvern. My research that I have been conducting with the underworld information grapevine that grimms of a certain strength like the Wyvern or Leviathan tend to enter long hibernation periods I'm not sure why because while attracted to negative emotions they don't necessary feed off them. Anyway the grimm I'm hunting down is called Ryujin or dragon god because all the old records that say it has the ability to summon black rain to form lesser grimm and to rain down fire and lighting making it ideal for fighting in the fall of beacon. I only have a rough estimated area of where its resting at but that's fine because Echo Tremor's sonar allows me to speed up the search and after I find it I will get a lot of explosives to destroy it without fighting it directly.

All my research points it to resting at a mountainous area filled with year round mist so thick you can't see your own hand in front of you. Well that is still weeks away still so I will just keep on walking, I have to say traveling around Remnant on foot is more enjoyable then I thought plus camping under the stars wondering if the Brothers are making other worlds or if there are other godlike beings out there is food for thought. I made it at a abandoned settlement to camp at for the night, this place is really old from what I'm seeing the name of it has fade to the point of being unreadable. First lets gather up some firewood there are plenty of wooden building to breakdown, it only took me less then a hour to gather up enough for the night. With a roaring fire going I set up my tent then start making some instant noodles for supper, miso and shrimp flavor. After finishing my meal I set up some simple alarms to wake me up if any grimm show up and now time to rest for the night.

( The next morning)

Another night camping done, now as I put up my camping stuff after breakfast my sonar picks up on someone heading my way. Realizing this I focus my sonar in their direction to see who it is, crap out of all the people to run into on the road it just had to be Tyrian Callows Salem's pet scorpion fanus. I rather not fight him now so lets avoid him for now because I'm not sure I can beat him, only hope he isn't here for me because of my silver eyes. As I quickly put up the rest of my camping set I hid to see if Tyrian is just passing though or not, Tyrian walks though the main gate in a hooded coat as I spy on him he suddenly stops then breaks into a maniacal laughter then says.

Tyrian: Come out kitty kitty I know your there watching me but I'm no mouse oh no definitely not a mouse. Don't worry you have the honor of dying for my dark goddess so please show yourself so that I might send you on your way.

As Tyrian starts cackling again I broke out into a cold sweat I decide to keep hidden to see if he really knows I'm here or not. As the madman looks around expecting me to jump out I drew my gun and pulled back the hammer ready to fight if I have to then he spoke again.

Tyrian: Come on now let me see those beautiful silver eyes of yours I just want to admire them as I separate them from you it won't hurt because you won't be feeling much of anything after you die.

I try to stay as calm as possible as I wait for him to make the first move, as he looks around he takes out his wrist blades then starts firing all around him trying to smoke me out. I wait for him to stop because he's just firing at random after a couple of minutes he stops then just walks off, I don't let my guard down till he's far away. As he walks away he then turns around quietly moving towards me from atop the buildings trying to get in my blind spot, well looks like I can't avoid him after all. As his head peaks from atop a near by building I use Echo Tremor to make a damping field to silence my gun as I fire and its a direct hit. I ran to the town square to give me more room to fight as I wait for Tyrian to show up I then heard his mad cackling he spoke.

Tyrian: I knew you were here but why didn't you show up when I called for you after all we can't keep my dark savior waiting for your death can we?

I didn't bother answering him because he is just a mad man so talking to him is pointless and I find it unlikely that I will learn anything useful from talking to him. I ready my sword to slash at him I focus all my aura into strengthening my body because his semblance can disrupt aura so why waste it on a useless defense. Tyrian circles me while I kept my eyes on him, he then charges at me from my right flank, as I slash at him running vibrations though my sword he evades to the left. Just when he tries to cut me with his wrist blades I used my left hand to send a shock wave at him sending him skidding across the ground. I switched my grip to the shield handle of my sword then I drew my gun and fired at him while he gets up. The first 2 shots were direct hits but he quickly dodged to the side to avoid the other 4 shots, as I reload my gun he charges at me with a mad smile under his hood. He slashes at me to no avail with my sword in his way good thing my holster can hold my gun while I reload with one hand. I finished reloading then aimed my gun at him, he jumped back before my first shot then used his own wrist mounted machine guns at me while cackling my sword blocked the shots easily.

I aimed my gun again at him I closed my eyes because my first shot is a flash bang, hearing him scream from the pain of his eyes burning from the bright light I used my damping field again to silence the rest of my shots. Explosions followed after firing my 5 bullets all were direct hits on him I then reloaded my gun again while summoning both Scourge and Senshi to keep up the pressure. Senshi charged at Tyrian with its spear thrusting at him while he was still blinded from my flash bang, Scourge let loose a torrent of flame on to Tyrian setting aflame to the surroundings. As the fire spread I loaded my gun with ice dust bullets to prevent the fire from spreading to much, I fired my shots at the flames then the last one on the mad scorpion freezing him in a block of ice. As I walked up to the frozen fanus cracks started to show on the ice then he broke out of the ice and seeing his aura flicker I knew that I was getting close to ending him. He then bellowed with a crazy laughter.

Tyrian: OH YES, YES, YES MY GODDESS I WILL END THIS SO CALLED CHAMPION OF MISTRAL THEN OFFER HIS EYES TO YOU, YES MY DARK QUEEN HIS EYES ARE YOUR'S.

As I ready to continue the fight with my sword ready to block his attack he... Turned tail and ran away... LIKE HELL I GOING TO LET YOU RUN AWAY YOU MAD SCORPION. I quickly summoned a horse like grimm known as a Nightmare for myself and Senshi. Tyrian might be running away with his life on the line but he can't out run me on my summon as I closed in on him with my sword held high he suddenly jumped up then sent his tail at me hoping to surprise me. Unfortunately for him I haven't forgotten his tail so as I made my sword vibrate at high speeds I cut off his tail he then cringed from the pain of losing his tail. My Nightmare stomped on him making his aura dissipate as he was pinned to the ground I dismounted then ready my sword to slice off his head, he struggle to get away as he pleaded not to me but Salem.

Tyrian: NO, NO, NO, SAVE ME OH MY DARK GODDESS I HAVE TO SEE THE WORLD BURN FROM ALL YOUR GLORY AND WRATH.

Senshi and Scourge pinned his arms as to prevent him from fighting back. He pleaded and begged Salem to save him but his pleas fell on deaf ear as I know that he is irredeemable and I'm no hero seeing hope and goodness even in people like him. I gently placed my sword on his neck to aim it well, Tyrian feeling it stiffen then looked at me with not fear but with mad joy then he spoke with a twisted smile.

Tyrian: My goddess will avenge me and you won't die oh no my goddess knows how to bring true suffering to others that it makes death seem like a release.

I smiled back then spoke gently.

Silva: I know but shall I let you in on a secret?

Tyrian looked confused but curious as I continued.

Silva: I have die before and I can tell you death is not the end nor is it the worst thing to happen.

Tyrian looked at me with shock believing every single word and I raised my sword then chopped off his head. I sighed then fell down on my back tired both physically and mentally then wondered how madness influences karma but I just unsummoned everything then got back. As I walked I made plans to hide in the mist filled mountains of Akuma no Owan ( Demons soup bowl) where the Ryujin rests.
