Chapter 6: As if it was never there at all

"Concerning the end of your break Su Lihua, I would like for you and your sister to do the next two modelling jobs together, how does that sound?"

Xie Yan turned sideways to observe her reaction. Her face had been expressionless when they came in and had remained expressionless since, It wasn't new to her after all,

"I'm okay with it",

Xie Yan was left a bit stunned after hearing her reply, she knew Su Lihua well, and knew that she hated sharing the spotlight, so why was she agreeing now?

"Alright then....", He briefed them on a few more things like the companies they would model for, but that was all old news to Lihua

They were released a little later and Lihua walked down the hall, she needed to get to the airport early. Cora was finally coming back and she had promised to pick her up

"Lihua, why did you accept so easily?, I thought you hate spotlight sharing?", Xie Yan had approached her hoping to know what was on Lihua's mind, she and her sister were rivals so working together was totally unheard of,

"Well, I just thought it would be fun", there was a mysterious smile on her face and Xie Yan couldn't understand what Lihua was thinking,

She wasn't exactly lying when she said it was going to be fun, well at least for her. She understood why Xie Yan would ask her, but she couldn't exactly tell her,

"Okay then, make sure to get plenty of rest, don't eat junk food, and most important, DON'T, stay up late, you've got a modelling gig tomorrow, I don't need you looking like a bloated rice ball"

"Sure, sure, your highness, I'll do as you say, now go, I'm sure you have more work to do", She pushed Xie Yan in the direction of her office and waved at her, "Bye worry wart"

'Now that that's over, I should go pick up Cora', She reached the company's entrance and was about to get in her car,

"Lihua!",

She turned around to see her sister walking toward her with a wide grin on her face,

"Lihua, didn't you get my message yesterday? you never responded"

Her mind replayed the incidents of the day before but no messages stood out to her, "I don't remember seeing one", she said and shrugged,

"Oh, then how did the plan go?"

"Not well" came her short reply,

"Huh, why?"

A glint appeared in Lihua's eyes but it went unnoticed by Su Jiao, Most people saw Su Jiao as a sweet innocent actress, but that was far from what she was, and Lihua herself would know, she had experienced it herself first-hand in her past life,

"No real reason, it just didn't work, any-who, I've got to go", She really needed to leave, and not just for the sake of picking Cora, it was more like she couldn't stand being next to her sister anymore, her innocent smile was beginning to put her off, a few more seconds more and she would probably have wiped of that stupid smile of her's.

She got in her car and drove off with Su Jiao waving in her direction. Once Lihua's car was out of sight the expression on Su Jiao's face changed, it turned into one of disgust and pure hatred, but changed back to her signature smile in a matter of seconds, as if it was never there all.
