Past

Vine silently followed Shen, still confused, whether Shen is an ally or enemy. She's still scared of him after knowing about his true identity as Demon Child.

"See this. This is the Spherical Object I came in." Shen said.

Vine looked at it curiously.

"What did you mean by not destroying the World?" Vine asked.

"You see, this World is actually a giant spherical ball, called planet. There are many other planets. I am from another planet." Shen said.

"Planet?" Vine asked confused.

"In short, another world. This World is called Earth. That is what the Kami of this World called." Shen said.

"You met Kami?" Vine asked shocked.

"Yes." Shen replied. "Well this world is pronounced as "A-aarth" in our world. I was sent on a different world, to destroy its civilization and clear it for my father. Somehow I landed here. That's what my father stated in his last message, before our communication got cut. He said to destroy the whole planet."

"Why didn't you destroy us then? When you came here, you went on a killing spree and killed many. So why not destroying the world?" Vine asked.

"People of my race has ability to transform into Giant Apes, known as Oozaru. When we look at Full Moon, we transform. We have no control over ourselves, and we destroy whatever is around." Shen replied. "Due to which I faced many hardships in life. People started searching for me to kill me since next day. But I was saved."

"How?" Vine asked.

"The woman, Kuchel. She saved me." Shen replied.

"Kuchel?" Vine asked.

"Yes." Shen replied. "Kuchel had a new born baby. Still she saved me. She hid me in her home. Fed me, raised me until I learnt to walk. She was the one who named me Shen. However, she started growing weak and I'm a heavy eater. She couldn't afford keeping me, but didn't say anything. I didn't like it. I hid my tail somehow and ran away from home, leaving Kuchel and baby Levi back."

"Levi?" Vine asked.

"Yes. Levi is son of Kuchel." Shen replied. "I'm indebted to them. The reason I brought him and Hanji and told them about my past as well."

"They know about you?" Vine asked.

"They only know me. They don't know the extent of my strength." Shen replied. "Moreover, I learnt to control the Oozaru form. Thanks to the video diaries my Father saved for me in this space pod- I mean, the spherical object."

Vine couldn't take in whatever Shen said. She was too shocked to absorb the information given to her by Shen. She somehow remained calm, but she knew she might lose it all soon. Shen understood that and gestured her to get on his back again.

Vine stood there.

"You don't trust me Vine?" Shen asked.

Vine still stood silently.

Shen clenched his fists and stood there looking down. This gesture of Vine reminded him of his past.

Flashback

Shen ran away from his Kuchel's home and was wandering the streets in search of shelter. Many tried to loot him, exploit him, but Shen had his alien instincts that saved him. Shen himself didn't understood how he saved himself, but somehow he liked it.

Later, he learnt how to deal with a group of people alone. He met Daichi this way. Daichi stole food and was trying to run away, when he was caught. Daichi was about to be beaten when Shen interfered and saved him. Since then Daichi followed Shen around trying to befriend him. Shen was cold to him, because he felt would hurt Daichi if he went berserk again. Somehow, later Daichi convinced him to be friends with him. Daichi introduced Shen to two of his friends. The four ganged up and did some minor burglary to survive.

One day, Shen and gang somehow trespassed and went out in the "over world". Shen saw the clear blue sky, the beauty of the forest, the greenery, etc, for the very first time. He was amazed.

His other two friends discovered the Space Pod, in which Shen came. He had a vague memory of it. Daichi and his friends were trying to open the pod but it didn't open. Shen went near to try to open it. It opened, saying "Access Granted. Welcome back Babarot (pronounced Ba-Ba-Rot)."

"Babarot?" Shen thought. This name seemed familiar to him. He felt a strange connection with the name.

Daichi accidentally pressed a switch which started a video on the screen, which displayed an old man, with a tail. Shen recognized the tail immediately, and felt a strange connection again. He convinced his gang to leave for then and come back later.

They all agreed and left.

Shen secretly used to come here and watch videos to learn about the man in the video.

He later learned that the man in the video was none other than his father. A Mid Ranked Soldier, of the army. Shen learnt about his race. He got to learn that he is a Saiyan. His tail is the proof. He used to watch videos of his Father and learnt Saiyan ways, his heritage, Saiyan Pride, King Cold, Lord Frieza, King Vegeta and Prince Vegeta. He heard stories about Prince Vegeta and idolised him. He wanted to be a Saiyan like him. He learnt about Saiyan's fighting style, Oozaru, etc. He learnt how to control his ki, started to train to be strong, make high jumps, slowly he tapped into superhuman level. He completed his training this way.

One day, while he was practising his training, he was caught by Daichi's friends. They tried to attack mentally, knowing that Shen is stronger physically, but Shen could read their minds. He understood and didn't give in.

Suddenly, Daichi appeared running, and slowly, everyone spotted a Titan following him. Everyone but Shen started panicking. One of Daichi's friends ran away towards the pod, and tried to steal something and run away. He took out a semi-transparent colored monocle that covers the left eye and ran away.

Shen looked his way, then looked towards the Titan. It was about to catch Daichi. Shen jumped and took Daichi away. Daichi stood there shocked. Shen looked towards the Titan, to notice it catching the other friend of Daichi, ripping him apart in two, and then eat him.

Daichi screamed and went down on his knees.

Shen understood that if he stops here, Daichi might die as well. He jumped and appeared behind the Titan, kicked at his nape. controlling his ki with his shin, creating a shockwave that cut the Titan's nape.

Shen saved Daichi. Daichi passed out when Shen approached him. He took him to the Underground to find a doctor, but no one was willing to help. Shen was so desperate, he thought of going back to Kuchel. When he ran back, he remembered it was eight years, Levi might've grown up.

When Shen reached Kuchel's house, he saw no one there. On enquiring, he got to know that Kuchel died and Levi left with a man named Kenny.

Shen was mad, he jumped higher carrying Daichi. He jumped high enough that he accidentally stumbled in a place high above ground. He saw a dark skinned man with pointy ears approaching. He was shocked.
