Chapter 16
Dawn and Malachi break from their embrace to get into attack mode position from a twig sound that was snapping. Malachi looks over to Dawn, giving her the signal to go to the right side as he goes to the left side.
They approached the brushes; Malachi looked at Dawn again, and held his hand up; he put up one finger and then two fingers. When he got to the third finger, he signaled for the both of them to get ready. Dawn nodded they it at the same time. Once in the brushes, they saw a person lying there, looking to be unconscious. They were observing the person; out of nowhere, Dawn began to sniff the air. There was a scent of lemon, and vanilla.
