A Rich Man's Lover

This is a story about an open-relationship between an unwilling prostitute and a married man. He was in an open marriage, but she's not the wife. To be one of the many partners of a man committed to another woman was her role. She wanted to hide her feelings that were starting to grow, her longing to be by his side, and lastly herself, by virtue of an open relationship. However, it was all for naught. When everything came to light, she desired to end the relationship they had. Her last words echoed through his mind as she bid him farewell through her mournful eyes. "If only I hadn't met you, I wouldn't be hurting this badly."

Without giving his guard a single glance, Konrad started to fix his cufflinks.

Truth to tell, he didn't appreciate talking regarding this sort of topic. Being overly worried of his safety was something that he didn't concern himself with. However, it wasn't also the case that he couldn't care less about it. He just didn't want to sour the mood by keeping his nerves on edge. And his guards knew that aspect of him perfectly. Furthermore, he never fails to reassure his five personal guards that he's confident that they would be able to protect him. After all, he picked these five in a pool of several thousands of candidates. If they were lacking in a quality, albeit merely a slight, he wouldn't have chosen them in the first place.
